I am SO glad you posted this review! I ordered one directly from HTVront on Prime Day and was SO excited for it because, like you, I saw all the great reviews (I think they likely all got free ones in exchange for their review), loved the "less space" idea (part of why I've held off on buying an actual press), and it IS visually appealing (goes with my white embroidery machines).
I didn't have time to take it out and unbox it (I do 99% embroidery with very little use for pressing - for now) until a couple of months ago. Straight out of the box - nothing but issues. After the first press (which BTW had the same issues you had - not enough pressure), the top part that presses down got stuck in a crooked position which meant I couldn't slide the bottom drawer back into the press. I couldn't get it back up no matter what I tried. I reached out to HTVront, and let me tell you, they have the WORST customer support. LIke worse than AT&T worst. Their online chat is never online - doesn't matter what time of the day/night you try. I sent an email and waited over a week with no reply, so I filed a chargeback on my card. The day I did that, they replied and said they'd already sent me a new one. Wait, what??
The new one came, and it had the E1 error when I first plugged it in. I unplugged it for a while and tried again. Before it was even 85 degrees, something smelled like it was burning so bad I had to unplug it and open the windows. Plugged it back in, same E1 error - supposedly the heating element sensor, internal fan not working, or the temp is too high (obviously this wasn't the case) and it stunk up the house before it was 85 degrees again.
Reached back out to HTVront, waiting days for a reply, only to get "please let us know what the error is and if you need operating instructions." Are they even reading the emails I send??
Now, they're telling me they'll just send me a refund, but they need me to cancel the chargeback. I don't trust them. I'll let my card deal with them. Not sure what to do with these two ginormous boxes either. I'm sure as heck not paying out of MY pocket to ship them back!
1,000% do NOT recommend this heat press! Avoid at ALL costs!

Oh wow that's a lot to deal with over a heat press, I'm really sorry.

I'll just keep using my Cricut EasyPress for now because, yes, this was a lot. I couldn't find a single bad review when I bought the thing, but I'm finally starting to see these crop up, and while I hate to see bad products, the bad service is what did it for me. How can they operate with this kind of service?
Good news for you is you bought from Amazon. They'll have your back on the return!@@brittanybriggs3806

I feel like this is the first honest review I've seen . Every single one I've seen , they were sent free to the RUclipsrs , and I don't trust reviews unless you actually spent your own money on it. So Thank you!

Yep my hard earned money is not going to be wasted around here 😂😂. Happy to provide an honest review.

I just got the identical press and also have buyer’s remorse. Inconsistent pressure on the outer edges and very difficult if pressing items with any straps (aprons, tote bags, etc). I feel like this is perfect if you are only doing T-shirts, nothing with seams/straps/hoods, etc.

I also had issues with straps and not even pressure, recently sublimating Easter tote bags. I thought it was just my mess up. I also love mine, sleek green :( but I have a swing away press that I will use for other things that need more pressure, so not wasting time and energy returning it.

I had this in my amazon cart to purchase. I’m so glad you gave a review on this. Pressure is a big deal breaker for me too.

I agree and I'm so sad about it because the design is very sleek. But I can't lose functionality overlook.

Congratulations Brittany. I was able to purchase the same heat press on Amazon during Amazon Prime. You'll love it.

Thanks for being an honest reviewer! Researched the same press a few weeks ago so many pressure complains.
Immediately removed that sleek beauty from my Amazon cart.

100% about the pressure being an issue. That little pillow underneath is probably a problem too.

Thank you for the review. What he press are you buying in exchange for this one? Pressure is a huge factor especially with sublimation. I too was going to buy this one. Glad I caught your video

Looking forward to the next heat press review. I saw this one on another youtube channel and she liked it. I was thinking about getting one of these, but now I've changed my mind because of your review. I don't like that you can't adjust the pressure and when you mentioned the hoody thing I think that is a negative. Thanks for the review!

When pressing shirts always have the collars off of the press. if not you are not getting a true flat press causing an off balance press due to the collar being higher than the shirt itself .

You probably already know but for others that don’t - calibrate your temp to make sure it’s getting up to where you need it. Time, temp, and pressure need to be tuned in to get a good press. You should definitely peel hot if the transfer is designed for that - and peel it hot “with confidence” - not a slow peel. This press looks pretty cool, I’m still using my Heat Press Nation signature press which has worked great so far. I had to replace a fuse after over a couple years but it wasn’t too hard and the support was fantastic.

Thanks Brittany, I ended up buying on from Heat Press Nation. I love I have the option to adjust pressure and heat.

I’m not even looking for a new press. Did I watch it all 😮 yes!!!! That’s a real good review that would help some one who was looking to buy that one. I agree pressure should be standard and you shouldn’t have to rig it, to make it work.
