Her friend isn't giving her very good information. A criminal defense attorney can help you at any time the police want to talk to you. That's what Brian laundries parents did, they hired an attorney they weren't arrested for anything and everybody had to go through their attorney. Of course they had the reasons but a lawyer can help you a lot even though you haven't been arrested. Many attorneys say that you should always ask for an attorney even when you're being questioned for something simple. You shouldn't be presumed guilty because you asked for an attorney which is your right
