My advice to Charlie would be to donate all his clothes & furniture to charity, sell the house & Ferrari & give all the proceeds to some organization that helps children without fathers.
Then Repent … not going anywhere! Admit what you did & cleanse your soul. Write letters to the Markel’s & beg for their forgiveness. Write letters to your nephews & tell them you’re sorry for taking their father away from them. Have your attorney talk to prosecutors & tell them exactly what happened to Dan & who was involved. Put an end to this & give the Markel’s , Tallahassee & everyone else involved the closure it needs from this ugly crime committed by you & your family.
Ask for forgiveness & just maybe you can find peace & quietly spend the rest of your days helping out your fellow inmates with their dental issues.

I’m so glad you wrote that because I thought his lawyer was terrible. Charlie complains about so many things that happened in the trial but his lawyer just sat there most of the time. He never objected, he didn’t ask the judge to take the photos down that Charlie thought were up way to long by the prosecutor …..if they felt the prosecutor was harping on something then as his defense attorney he should have done more to help show their “side” of the story… I don’t know why Charlie thinks so highly of his attorney…his attorney was useless!
Couldn't agree more. I'm from London UK so forgive me being critical of US legal representation but his constant shouting, looking at the Jury constantly in an attempt to appear convincing, his aggressive questioning that had no substance in my view alianated the jury. I'm sure after him they all had massive headaches. Conversely, Ms Capleman was quick, precise, sarcastic when necessary and factual. She's clever and clearly good at what she does.
