He’s babbling on about other cases who win on appeal for ineffective assistance of counsel, but never does he say, “I’m innocent! I didn’t do this! I’m not guilty!” All technicalities of trials and prosecution causes him to be convicted, not that he is actually guilty.
I feel like Wendi is by far the most dangerous here-manipulated her family to get the murder done and then ghosted them afterwards. She did her little routine to pretend to be vulnerable, but is an ice-cold psychopath underneath it all. She changed the children’s names, keeps them from Dan’s family, and manipulated her brother/mother into planning Dan’s murder, served Charlie up to the police, and then ghosted. Terrifying that she’s around children daily:( but I think she’s next to be arrested. Harvey was clearly in on it, but the evidence against Wendi is stronger

Totally agree with you. There was a psychologist stated somewhere on RUclips that he watched Wendy's testimony and stated she is one of the most dangerous sociopaths that he has ever seen. And also said she is the one that is most dangerous here from all the Adelson's.
I do too believe that she set this all up for her mom and Charlie to react in an malignant nefarious way to get rid of Dan. Now she's leaving them holding the bag. Yes she needs to be arrested big time!!!

The more I listen to these, the more I am convinced Rashbaum basically lied to the Adelsons about Charlie’s chances, as well as how he thought things were progressing during the trial.

I can see why Donna tried to flee after talking to Charlie-he basically said the state’s case was compelling, he was delusional for believing Rashbaum that they should win and realizes an appeal and new trial is hopeless.
People never realize until it is too late that an attorney’s only real allegiance is to himself or herself. If they have a client with deep pockets of course he would give false hope. Apparently once Charlie was convicted Rashbaum started bitch slapping him in court, telling him to be quiet, etc. Notice that Rashbaum didn’t even look at Charlie when the jury convicted him. He looked straight ahead. When Charlie tried to grab his arm when he was being fingerprinted Rashbaum shook him off and told him to stop it. Charlie is one stupid criminal.

Sigh, here we go again with the "Tallahassee Juror" issue. He's in disbelief that even though they had the "best of the best" juror consultant Josh Dubin who cost him a million dollars (rip off and ridiculous, but whatever), they didn't even get one juror. And his conclusion is that it's because it was a Tallahassee jury.
Charlie, the reason you didn't even get one juror has nothing to do with Tallahassee or Josh Dubin. It's because the evidence was overwhelming and your extortion defense was absurd. Bottom line is: Dan Markel = Wendi = CHARLIE = Katie = the killers. YOU are the only common denominator between the killers and Dan Markel. The only connection. The only bridge between Dan/Wendi and Katie/Sigfredo/Luis. How can any jury put that aside? Josh Dubin is not a miracle worker. He can't pick magic juries that ignore such solid evidence. ANY jury would see what happened in this case.
Sigfredo was found guilty, as was Katie. How did you think your trial would go any differently?! And the only reason Katie's first trial was hung was because of that one ridiculous juror who admitted on a Deep Dive True Crime interview that she knew Katie did it but just didn't want to send her to prison b/c she had 2 little kids and Sigfredo was already going to prison. So in other words, she should've been found guilty the first time around if that juror had followed the rules of being a juror.
I've listened to him talk for 2 days now and he has gone around and around obsessing over small details that have nothing to do with why he was found guilty. Not once has he mentioned him being the only connection, not once has he mentioned the extortion defense. Which was absurd because no killers are going to travel 8 hours round trip, twice, to kill someone another guy hates, just to extort that guy. That makes NO sense. Add in the wiretaps post-bump and it was a slam dunk case. You had no chance, and it had nothing to do with the book, Ryan, the bourbon, Trescott, Tallahassee, or Georgia. Christ.

Have you heard Charlie's contempt towards Wendi when he asked Donna "How is she?" The tone speaks VOLUMES. Watch this space, Charlie ain't spending another day in prison that he doesn't have to. He will quickly rationalize that he also has a child, just like Wendi.
He knows he is never getting out, is angry and wants Donna to know that Wendi mucked things up and so did Donna. If he thinks a bit more he will realise that his sister manipulated the whole family and set it up so she walks and gets all the families $$$ plus got to move back, free babysitting.
Charlie appears to believe that if he didn’t have to spend the rest of his life in prison, he would magically transform from a horrible father into a wonderful father.
In one of the calls with Brie Charlie says I had a plan after I got acquitted I was going to go stay in a hotel for a while, then go to my house for a while, and then go visit Roman in NC. So he bemoans that he just wants a chance to be a dad, but seeing his son isn’t at the top of his list if he got released. Brie is a fool. Charlie wasn’t with her before he got arrested, and he wouldn’t be with her if he got out, no matter how loyal she’s been to him while he’s in jail.
I wonder if Brie is now going to change Romans name….that would be the icing on the cake!

Mike is brought up a few times. He was Charlie’s lawyer when Sigfredo and Katie were arrested. He is a key player in Charlie’s life at the time. He grew up with Charlie in Coral Springs and . Charlie was a groomsman at his wedding, and his father Judge and former state senator Peter Weinstein is an old family friend and godfather to Wendi. At the time, Mike was planning to get into Florida state politics; the Dan Markel murder derailed this idea, as unlike South Carolina, Florida doesn’t think it is normal for a state politician to represent murder defendants. Lol.

@@marshapieroni6677I think the reason that wouldn’t be a reason is because when Donna and Harvey were attempting to leave, there was no warrant out for her arrest. So her trying to leave and him being with her wasn’t actually against the law.
She was arrested because law enforcement knew she was leaving and they didn’t want her to leave. But it wasn’t actually as if she had a warrant out and then she tried to leave. Does that make sense?
I don’t think Harvey was involved too much. He absolutely knew about it, definitely helped with the cash 💵 & obviously running away on a 1 way ticket to Vietnam was just icing on the cake. Idiots!!!

During this call Charlie is processing his loss. He’s slowly realizing the jurors were not just dumb people or people who already hated him and wanted to convict him no matter what. He’s going through the actual evidence with his mom and realizing the jury went with the evidence.
He’ll go through a great many iterations of this process.
I hope one day his conscience will echo his words when he laments that his life is over, that he will never see his son and he lost everything.

She was then seen by a COP at the scene and even proceeded to buy Bulleit Bourbon via the 'shortcut'. Bulleit Bourbon of all things. Charlie, Donna and Harvey in 197 years, collectively, have never been asked to buy Bulleit Bourbon for a party. What were the chances? Charlie can see that there were too many coincidences for a jury to buy. He thinks that Wendi helped convict him. This may be the the day that it became clear to Donna that she was next. It wasn't the 'Tallahassee jury', it was the evidence. Donna realized it and knew that they were coming for her next, and sooner rather than later.
