She also says "Thank you." Fucking thank you. Is there *any* interpretation of that other than, "thank you for doing this for the family, thank you for taking the fall." ????
Imagine being this woman. She's the perfect example of an abject failure as a mother, and as a civilized human being. And even as she speaks to the son she describes as being "almost dead", and promises not to leave him there. she's actively planning on abandoning him to his fate.
It's disturbing how Charles Adelson isn't obsessed with his innocence. Neither is Donna proclaiming his innocence. They're also not speaking about the extortionists or any extortion. Their obsessions focus on the trial, not on an actual "miscarriage of justice!"
If you listen closely, you can tell ole Charlie is slowly convincing himself that he was found guilty because of Donna’s TV reference, and Wendi driving by the crime scene an hour after the murder. This will continue to eat at him, and he might implicate one or both of them if it really starts to bother him.
he is fixated on stuff that nobody from a zillion youtube channels even cared about. wendi's book. a pie chart of how often he called a landline. the evidence was like, the stapled money that you admitted you paid your girlfriend to give to the men who murdered dan markel. the money and favors you continued to give her. the wiretaps; things you said in your own voice.
I love how Donna clams right up whenever Chuck brings up the "crazy emails" and "this TV will cost about 5". Suddenly she can't hear her beloved talking 🤣🤣🤣
Hours and Hours and Hours of phone conversations… Not One Single Minute of “the extortion” or how “scared” they were back then… this jury got it right 100%!
I’m so incredibly grateful that Charlie needs to think aloud and talk through problems, and so glad the Adelsons could afford to keep him on the phone 24/7
It hasn't sunk in for him. Let's hope we can see his picture after 10 or 20 years if he makes that far. He will go crazy looking at the walls. And a cot with built-in toilet.
@TEpScin If my "innocent" brother were locked away in jail and just found guilty for a "crime he didn't commit " no legal reason would stop me from saying hello and asking how he was doing. But, my brother wouldn't hire someone to k*ll my children's father... so there's that.
@@EdSeTcinWendi claims that her lawyer has advised her to not speak to her family about the case. In one of these recordings, Donna and/or Harvey said that Wendi's lawyer never said that. Wendi is terrified even just saying hello to her now convicted (because of HER problems) brother.
I really have NO sympathy for Donna sounding all weepy on these phones calls. You caused this. You allowed it to continue in motion. Who in their right mind would think killing Dan was the answer and that you wouldn’t get caught. No sympathy. At all. Did they really not think this through?!? Innocent people go and support their son when he’s on trial for his life, Donna. So hilarious they say it’s all a coincidence and like a movie… Thanks for all this work ❤❤
Yes, they had nine months to think this through and think, "maybe we shouldn't do this". And SEVEN people involved and not one thought to rethink it and say no.

Favorite snippets: Donna: “No evidence! How do they do that?! That’s all I’m hearing from people. No evidence…How do they do that?!” Charlie: “I’m likable. I’m not arrogant.” These two are delusional! Unbelievable!!!
Charlie and Donna think the only kind of evidence that counts is hard physical evidence. Sorry, but circumstantial evidence counts too! And since he’s charged with conspiracy, the motive and actions of his family are relevant. They think spending millions on his defense makes it better than the state’s case. Evidence matters!
First chat Ive crossed where the comments are married. Charlie kept mentioning “if he had only followed my guts “ in the jail calls . His guts to not murder or his guts to flee after feeling like someone is onto something? “If I had only took care of me , looked out for myself”
He has no awareness of reality! He thought he was getting off that murder charge at trial! So delusional he thought he was lying good! Astounding the narcissist lawyer kept lying to him saying he did well when we know that’s so false! Nobody who saw the trials believed his layaway extortion!!! He isn’t too bright at all! 🤦♀️ he is never getting out! Donna will die of guilt!!!

The boys have been in this nest of sociopaths for too long. There’s a good chance one or both have become narcissists. They need a great deal of therapy but Wendi has control and will continue to brainwash and mess up their minds.

Knowing now that she was planning on leaving the country and hearing her say that is hilarious. She was just trying to pacify Charlie until they were gone. 😂
Donna already knows she and Harvey are going to try and leave the country, Charlie thinks mom will be there for him. This family is a piece of work. How did they think this would all end?
I think maybe Charlie was encouraging her to leave in the previous call by constantly saying “If I knew then what I know now,” and “I should have trusted my gut.” He was talking about fleeing to another country. Donna kept saying, “I know what you’re saying,” and “You don’t have to say it.”
@@sarahs2288 I agree with you Charlie was telling them to leave and I'm sure Dan told Charlie of their plans, but Donna keeps telling Charlie that their not going anywhere, they are here for him and that is purely to throw the authorities off the idea that they might be planning to flee.
Wendy must be furious that Dan Markel's children had to be reminded that he existed at all. She's put so much effort into erasing him from his children's memories.
Too bad, Wendi. It’s only going to get worse! The movies haven’t started coming yet! They are just waiting for the entire family to be under lock and key!!
Can anyone specifically state what Wendi said on the witness stand about the boys are encouraged to remember their father? It was something about they having Dan’s photo by their beds to which they say goodnight and good morning … 🤷🏻♀️
They are lying to themselves so I can’t see how’d they be truthful to anyone else. None of the Adelson’s in my opinion will EVER fess up to this crime, nor will they turn on each other.
@jamiehoover9348 I love people like you that just go skimming through the comment's just so you can piggyback on someone else's because you don't have the intellect to post your own, Hence the reason you're an imbecile .... 😂
Wendi driving down the street on Dan's house seeing all the police and not stopping was stupid. She had to drive out of the way going down that street. Not asking about her boys is telling. Telling the police she thought she was a suspect BEFORE even being told Dan has been shot is huge. Her fake emotions during the police interrogation was also bad for her.
Yeah she really should have had her feet held to the fire on those two topics in the interview. She was deemed a victim almost immediately even after those major red flags!! Sorry you don’t randomly drive a half mile down your Ex’s street because of autopilot. You avoid your ex like the plague… like she avoided Dan at Wholefoods when she saw him there days before the murder.
Yes her statement made no sense if you know your kids are at your ex house you see all those police you’re going to ask what’s going on. Wendi knew it was going down. Bunch of spoiled brats
Sometimes it seems like people forget that 1 of the trigger men has already confessed to the killing and the contact between the Adelsons and the trigger men has confessed, as well. The Adelson Family have been caught red handed and pretend the murder didn't happen at all. Comical.
It's wild to me that Luis Rivera, the head of a Latin Kings faction for Miami-Dade will be released from prison in 2034; while Sigredo (the shooter), Katie (the gopher and money distributor) and Charlie Adelson will sit in prison FOREVER! Donna and Wendi will join the lifetime prison sentence club soon. Harvey, unsure, he could get an accessory charge, 20 yrs and he is 80 yrs old 😮
Yes, those bare facts should not be forgotten while Charlie is busy convincing himself that he had nothing to do with it. 😂 I’m convinced that he actually believes his own lies by now.
Plus, the money trail clearly connecting them. But Charlie is still thinking if only they had picked different jurors, or Wendi didn't take that drive, he would have got off scott free. Delusional.
The damage this woman has done to multiple generations.. heartbreaking to think of all Dan's boys will have to come to terms with now & in the yrs to come
Between Katie/ sigfredo, Luis, Charlie and Dan/Wendi I count 13 children who have lost one or both parents. 13 children have had their lives turned upside because these selfish pricks didn’t want to allow Dan to be the amazing Dad he wanted to be. So many victims and the damage will no doubt go on for generations. And these idiots will sit here and whine and weep about getting caught.
Charlie's fame is all he has....in 6 months, a year... not only will the world forget him~but his own family that are still living and "free" will stop paying him any attention. Human beings don't like to be reminded of humiliation, shame and embarrassment as generations pass. Charlie is about to disappear into quicksand deep beneath the U.S. penal system where he'll devolve into a severe stigma & burden on his son, Roman, and a pity stop to his former friends. He is as good as deceased.
The sheer arrogance of these people, completely deluded. How many times is he gonna say the same thing over and over again. They took someone’s life, now they’re sitting there crying at the loss of their freedom. What about Dan’s poor parents! They can’t speak to their child can they! The arrogance and entitlement is mind numbing
Disappointed to hear Donna confirm Phil and Ruth’s worst fears of the boys being brainwashed. I hope and pray when they are old enough to know the truth they will.
If Charlie is this angry now about the “coincidences” of Wendi driving to the crime scene & Donna referencing TVs in relation to being extorted, just wait a few months or years; he has nothing to do but dwell on the mistakes other people made in the commission of the crime & couple that with his narcissism & it will eat him up that he’s in prison for life for what he’s convinced are solely other people’s slip ups. To this point Donna has been able to listen to him vent & calm him down a bit; now, with Donna in custody, there’s no one to keep him ‘in check’ & I wouldn’t be at all shocked to learn that he’ll turn on someone (most likely Wendi, maybe to save his mom).
On another call he tells Donna "that's why I'm coming after Wendy".. all of them will end up in Tallahassee... Hopefully soon so the boys can grow up with the Markel's
@@jacquelinenobriga4296did he really say that? This makes me laugh...they're questioning Wendi's actions of driving by the house 1/2 hour later, he's questioning the Jury, questioning how much is a large sum of money in your home. I question Donna's IQ .
In Wendi’s writing class podcast, doesn’t Wendi say that Donna thinks she is fat and she thinks she is stupid (but won a spelling bee in 6th grade)? The whole family has bizarre perceptions about who is smart and who is “stupid.” Perhaps this is due to their own intellectual shortcomings…😮
He's like "mom, we need to put this on Wendy! It's the only way I can get out! She fucked it all up by driving there! Please mom, we need to put it on Wendy!" And she's like: "Nope."

I can't stop laughing at how hard chuck is working to place wendi at the scene of the crime. Him using the prosecutor's words to sum up his sister, "She just couldn't help herself," and desperately trying to get mom on board, are the cherries on this delectable sundae.
Charlie to the jury: “Use you common sense, guys!!” In other words, he’s ticked that he worked so hard to invent such a brilliant, elaborate fairytale story about being extorted, that even if they DIDN’T buy it, his story should have been considered good enough to qualify as “reasonable doubt!!”😂🤣
They intentionally 'X'd' out people with LE family members and even a 20-year MP retiree that also did 20 years at USPS, why? Because they knew those people wouldn't believe a word they said. They thought they picked the dumbest group of people they could pick in their opinion. So, now accusing them of facecalling each other before deliberating? I doubt it.
He actually said that in one of these calls! He talked about how they were the #1 Jury Assessment Team in the country… how expensive they were… the guy’s credentials… the fact that he had lived in Tallahassee for 4yrs and knew the area/culture/people….etc, etc, etc…. He’s SO SHOCKED that PAYING THE MOST MONEY didn’t allow him to get away with murdering his former brother-in-law! He/they are SO EVIL & DISGUSTING!! It is human nature, self preservation, to think things for your own good. I'm sure they do NOT believe that they are guilty. I don't care if they have seen evidence online or not, they are going to believe that this is all an unfortunate "thing." That is just how the mind works. Its funny Charlie thinks its adorable how Roman repeats what he hears but when Lincoln and Ben repeat that grandma says Dan is taking her sunshines away that is not believable
Amazes me that they brag up Rashbaum like he’s a saint. No anger at him for saying they had it in the bag, going home, ecstatic with trial testimony. But yet in an interview he said he was not surprised at the verdict. So obviously he was lying to them but yet they have zero blame or dislike for him. Even though he collected a ton more for his work than a prosecutor is paid. They still worship him
@@OldPuebloHops. I think he wasn’t surprised because of how short the verdict was achieved. They don’t get that most jurists make up their mind before closing arguments. The longer ones mean that there’s a hold out or several of them disagree
@OldPuebloHops I agree the interview stank. How could they not ask him why he didn't bother to go over Katie's "extortion plot" with her?! It's like Dan was ADVERTISING he didn't believe a word of his own defense theory, and they just let that slide...

Right, that tells us all we need to know . He’s an absentee father. I bet he’s more involved now than he ever was. He talks about seeing and walking the dog then mentions 4 other ppl or things and then his son.
I keep trying to understand how anyone could have this level of delusion, but then I remind myself that these people are narcissists and these recorded calls are simply another way of pushing their narrative out into the world. He's so focused on the peripheral evidence, but I have yet to hear them address the overwhelming, solid evidence that led to his conviction. That says a lot. I truly hope and pray that the MARKEL boys grow up and break free of this narcissistic family.
Nowhere in all these calls have I heard a single mention of the double extortion. If the double extortion had happened they'd never shut up about it.. Instead they focus on what is most salient to them in their distressed state: the true evidence they've lived in fear of for many years. Not one discussion of what his defence relied on. Nothing.
OMG Charlie talks more about Wendi driving to the crime scene and convincing Donna it was Wendi and why Wendi would have driven to Dans house than they discussed in court
I just posted a comment about this. Wendi’s own actions helped pile on the “coincidences.” It seems like he is trying to signal to Donna that Wendi could be viewed as the only suspect. I wonder if they will pressure Wendi to take the sole blame, so everyone else in the family doesn’t go to prison. Charlie seems like he is no longer in “protect Wendi” mode.
Charlie believes that Wendi going by the house, alone was enough to convict. This is as close as he can get to expressing anger toward Wendi on a recorded call. And Donna is trying to say that she didn’t actually go by there, she’s trying to say Wendi only went near the house and Charlie told her they tracked her phone there. Their code talk isn’t going well. What a miserable mess. He’s desperate to keep his mother on the phone.
I agree with you, my thoughts on Charlie is he watched too many movies and TV he thought he could be slick. Fortunately all of the subtext only made things worse. In my opinion wendi is the most guilty charlie facilitated it, Donna had to be the busy body mom to make Charlie do something. It's sad, gross, and I'm glad justice got served in Charlie's case. It's only satisfying to know that the conversations between Charlie and Donna keep shedding more light on the family dynamics. The victim was only seemingly trying to be a good dad, as far as I could tell.
Really? Wendi was in a very difficult divorce where she says she was badly treated and she’s going 7 mins out of her way to use an old route to the liquor store? I highly doubt that. The driver testified that Katie knew the murder had been committed BEFORE Garcia called. How did he know that??? Wendi? Wendi is in this up to her eyeballs. This whole family is guilty in my opinion and hopefully Wendi is held accountable too
And obviously neither one of these narcissists understand that circumstantial evidence, and the undeniability of statistical coincidence is often, more than direct evidence, responsible for justifiable and righteous convictions. What hubris.
I'M GLAD MY PARENTS BROUGHT ME UP RIGHT. I APPRECIATE EVERY BIT OF DISCIPLINE THEY GAVE ME. I'M ALSO GLAD THAT MY DAD RAN OUR HOME. HE WAS A REAL MAN. HE PASSED AWAY BACK IN 1980. MISS YOU DAD! THANK YOU!
So satisfying that Donna has absolutely power or control over the system, jail or court. They got what they paid for...a one way ticket to prison. Aside from Dan, the two boys are the victims in all this. One day they will accept the truth of how their own family took their father away from them, especially when Donna and Wendi go down. It wasn't just Uncle Charlie.
These people are so ridiculous. Who wanted Dan Markel out of the picture? Who paid a bunch of money to the killers, whose girlfriend was Sigfredo's baby momma, who called the undercover guy and had a conversation with him, who was so worried about the bump, and I could go on and on and on. You were found guilty because you ARE guilty and it's Donna's turn next. I wish they would realize everything they took from Dan and their grandsons. They are crying and talking about all their losses. Your losses are your own fault, a result of your actions. Accept it!
I will never not be in awe of this case. Never. Just mind blowing how entitled these people are. Took someone’s life and no remorse for it. No thoughts for his own rights. So much evidence against him, yet he thought anyone would buy his ludicrous defence?.
If I was innocent: 1) I would have immediately gone to the cops after Donna was approached on the street. At one point, Charlie mentions if it's the IRS. 🤔 2) And that would have made useless and unnecessary ... all those suspicious-sounding conversations (revealed in the wiretaps). --> Innocent people usually don't act like that. Additionally, I've not heard one but of sorrow uttered for Dan or his family, or heard Charlie adamantly state "I'm innocent!"
Folks like him never listen. I knew someone that kept talking, adding 3 more felony charges to their misdemeanor charge. It's like they freak out and just can't shut up sadly.
As he laments about his precious house….he was “always gonna keep it”…oh my god, what did he think Dan wanted forever? This is STUNNING. And in the worst way possible
I can’t wait to hear Janice reaction when she’s told she has to move out of Charlie’s house. That’s the only reason why she’s taking his phone calls probably. Free rent.
At least she got rid of the 2 cases of sex toys like he asked her to do. So his parents wouldn't see them when they came over to check the house. He likes underage girls in other countries and see toys etc etc.
It’s ironic that he’s complaining of feeling trapped in a concrete box while the rest of the world moves on. Considering Dan Markel is trapped in a box while the rest of the world moves on.

@TEpScin If my "innocent" brother were locked away in jail and just found guilty for a "crime he didn't commit " no legal reason would stop me from saying hello and asking how he was doing. But, my brother wouldn't hire someone to k*ll my children's father... so there's that.

You don't think l had a non-kosher wedding by accident. Oh you and mom are so stupid. Loud laughter from windi. This is my made up version. Glo
😅and how many times have we heard " use your common sense, folks" or, "holy sht"
So during the call Donna tells Charlie Wendi is there, but can’t talk to CA because she’s waiting for a call to give her permission..
Then Charlie goes off on Wendi’s drive to the CS…
This man is getting closer to the edge. If Wendi steps one foot out of line, Charlie can end her life as she perceives it.
I wanna hear the call when Charlie finds out Mom is arrested!!
Its funny Charlie thinks its adorable how Roman repeats what he hears but when Lincoln and Ben repeat that grandma says Dan is taking her sunshines away that is not believable
💯
Gigi you have me hooked on these
😭😭😭 I haven't slept in days lol
Some of us have jobs 🤣
Amazes me that they brag up Rashbaum like he’s a saint. No anger at him for saying they had it in the bag, going home, ecstatic with trial testimony. But yet in an interview he said he was not surprised at the verdict. So obviously he was lying to them but yet they have zero blame or dislike for him. Even though he collected a ton more for his work than a prosecutor is paid. They still worship him
Was very disappointed STS didn’t follow up and as Dan why he wasn’t surprised. It was a poor interview: wasn’t listening or reacting to responses.
@@OldPuebloHops. I think he wasn’t surprised because of how short the verdict was achieved. They don’t get that most jurists make up their mind before closing arguments. The longer ones mean that there’s a hold out or several of them disagree
@OldPuebloHops
I agree the interview stank. How could they not ask him why he didn't bother to go over Katie's "extortion plot" with her?! It's like Dan was ADVERTISING he didn't believe a word of his own defense theory, and they just let that slide...
He pictured himself walking free from court into his backyard and seeing his DOG!!!! NOT HIS SON BUT HIS DOG!!! Donna and Harvey dont even realise what they've raised! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! IT'S ALL ME ME ME ME
I didn’t catch that…WHAT a great point 👍
Right, that tells us all we need to know . He’s an absentee father. I bet he’s more involved now than he ever was. He talks about seeing and walking the dog then mentions 4 other ppl or things and then his son.
And yet he’s leaving the poor dog with that awful Janice person (the housekeeper/girlfriend) 😢
That poor dog will end up at a shelter.
For sure!!!
Charlie believed Rausbaum. Perfect results.
The boys will break free cause all if them will be in jail begging for money to make calls. Hahahaha
Don’t you know? The entire case rested on Wendi’s book 😂
@@delia5158Wendi with two kids will never take the blame ‼️
100%. He is blaming her and Donna in a way that isn't calling them out directly. He should have rolled over and sung like a canary.
He's waiting for Donna to slip her lip again. Convenient Wendi was in the next room.
Oh please. Bump happens. Donna tells Charlie, after he begs her to tell him who it has to do with, “uhhh probably the two of us.”
Yep.
But it's not their hand in the cookie jar 😉😉
Sounds like mom and brother are throwing Wendi under the bus.
Sucks Donna when it all comes back to bite you.. but just wait….SURPRISE!!!
I'M GLAD MY PARENTS BROUGHT ME UP RIGHT. I APPRECIATE EVERY BIT OF DISCIPLINE THEY GAVE ME. I'M ALSO GLAD THAT MY DAD RAN OUR HOME. HE WAS A REAL MAN. HE PASSED AWAY BACK IN 1980. MISS YOU DAD! THANK YOU!
Charlie will be rehashing the trial until the day he dies--
Cursing Tallahassee until his last breath ….
He will move on eventually this is how he processes things.
Wonder how June will feel about being referred to as, “Not the brightest,” by Charlie.
She’s bright enough to stay outta state prison though!
@@lindsayo9702😂
He already joked that if he’d had a kid with June the kid would be the only one in High School having to wear Velcro shoes!
June is a foreigner, not nice to classify her as stupid without more interaction.
She is no match for this ruthless family.
@@jenniferjanssen9876 June is a foreigner! She still has the brains of a turnip & is shallow, materialistic and amoral. Sweet though.
Donna doesn't know this yet in this jail house call. But she's gonna know chief Mack very soon.😂
Accept it!
Charle talks like he was auditioning for a play and felt he nailed the lead role. Zero self awareness 🤦♂️
I love the mom tattoo on Charlie’s neck on the thumb nail!!! It’s so true!! It’s like Donna has created a cult with her children! Rob escaped!!!!
I will never not be in awe of this case. Never. Just mind blowing how entitled these people are. Took someone’s life and no remorse for it. No thoughts for his own rights. So much evidence against him, yet he thought anyone would buy his ludicrous defence?.
This family is so wreckless and self-defeating. They had the world at their fingertips but they foolishly squandered it all.
If I was innocent:
1) I would have immediately gone to the cops after Donna was approached on the street. At one point, Charlie mentions if it's the IRS. 🤔
2) And that would have made useless and unnecessary ... all those suspicious-sounding
conversations (revealed in the wiretaps).
--> Innocent people usually don't act like that.
Additionally, I've not heard one but of sorrow uttered for Dan or his family, or heard Charlie adamantly state "I'm innocent!"
If I was Charlie and being extorted on July 18 2014, I'd go to the police.
Next time Dan visits Charlie in prison he’s going to have only 9 words for him: Stay off the phone and keep your mouth shut.
Folks like him never listen. I knew someone that kept talking, adding 3 more felony charges to their misdemeanor charge. It's like they freak out and just can't shut up sadly.
Hahaha, 😠
As he laments about his precious house….he was “always gonna keep it”…oh my god, what did he think Dan wanted forever? This is STUNNING. And in the worst way possible
Wow! I’ve NEVER heard someone repeat themselves as this guy! I guess when you’re in prison for life…
I can’t wait to hear Janice reaction when she’s told she has to move out of Charlie’s house. That’s the only reason why she’s taking his phone calls probably. Free rent.
Agree. Wait till she hears she has three weeks. That dog will wind up on Harvey’s doorstep.
I wonder what will happen with that situation now that Donna has been arrested. I wonder if Harvey will make her move...
I doubt she will continue calling him "honey and sweetie" or accepting his calls for that matter..
@@nurseratched1208At first i read it wrong i thought you said heaven's step! so i thought "dang, that escalated quickly!" 😂😂🤣🤣🤣
He keeps talking about Wendi showing up at the crime scene. He’s harboring a lot of resentment towards her. He keeps taking about it.
