- Make a gift even more special with this cute re-useable gift bag! You will need to leave a turning gap in the centre of the lining seam... sorry that was missed out!
Materials from www.debbieshoresewing.com
Materials:
1 piece of outer and 1 lining fabric each measuring 19” x 10” [48cm x 25cm]
1” x 1.5” [46cm x 4cm] strip of lining fabric
19” x 10” [48cm xx 25cm] fusible interfacing [Vlieseline H200]
20” [49cm] ribbon
3" circle template [I used a ribbon spool]
Fuse interfacing to the wrong side of the outer fabric
What a super handy little iron, I am constantly up and down to my ironing board.
Our Debbie…… you are SUPER CLEVER. Love this little bag and it’s definitely gone to the top of my Christmas sewing gift list. I’ve got a nice stash of fabric that’s almost ‘climbing by itself’ onto my sewing table😍😍😍😍😍😍!
Lovely little gift bag. Just completed my first one, first time I've done scalloped edges, not as scary as I thought. Thanks for all your wonderful ideas.
This is sssuper!!!
Thank you Debbie, I am definitely going to use this idea from now on. Just think of the money I will save on gift bags and the recipient can use this bag over again in which ever way they choose. Fantastic idea Love it,
Very beautiful and simple thank you 😊😊😊🇺🇸
Oh I like this one, I think my bags this year will have this shaped top. I'd best get cracking, time is flying. Thank you Debbie.
Hi Debbie
Debbie, that is so darn cute and you could use fabric appropriate for any occasion. Thank you so much, I really enjoy your channel! Can’t wait to start making some!
Great helpful video. Perfect for Christmas gift bags etc.. Many thanks for excellent video.
Debbie you did it again, just love it. I will definitely be making this for gift giving. Thank you my dear 😘
Thank you Debbie! I just made for my nieces. 🥰
Very cute idea for making gift bags
Thanks Debbie!
Gorgeous 😍 - another great tutorial. I'll be using that pattern for Christmas gifts bags. Thanks Debbie.
Such a sweet sewing project! Thank you for posting this video!
I love the bag!!!!
So cute, great for lots of different gifts inside
Hello Debby
Thanks this is beautiful appreciated greatly love your channel very informative will use as a school project thanks you are amazing great teaching from Nassau Bahamas
Will definitely make this, perhaps with my granddaughters.
Very cute bag. I didn't see the part where you left a "turning" spot in the lining. I thought there was some magic going to happen. 😁 I may try this for birthday presents for my granddaughters, the grandsons wouldn't appreciate it. 🤣 Thank you for the tutorial.
So cute! Looking forward to making this! 💕
Adorable idea 🌹
Thank you 💕 absolutely gorgeous
So pretty.
My friends loved these I made for their Christmas gifts... Will be making more for next year. Maybe slightly bigger.
I was just getting my fabrics together to make gift bags. Will definitely do some of these. You was right Debbie you have sold out of the fabric 😩
Hello Shirley
In my list of things to do!!!!
Very cute.
Hi Lucy
Wow that was fast Debbie!!
Hi Angela
Adorei! Lindinho demais!👏👏💐
Brilliant
Debbie where did you find the outer fabric for this project? its beautiful
Very sweet! Thanks for sharing.
Hi Debbie, could you make a tutorial on how to sew a small purse with zipper pocket inside and right around zipper to hold my glucometer, pen, lancets and testing strips. It must be able to open up. It must have elastic straps inside to hold my gluco pen, glucometer.
Really like this bag, the scallops really set it off!
Debbie Shore, if putting scallops in a garment, what type of interfacing would you use? I want to duplicate a play set with a pinafore mom made us when we were kids. Thank you 😊
I'd just use a lightweight fusible interfacing, make sure it's not heavier than your fabric...
@@debbieshore thank you for answering my question! It's truly appreciated. Love your videos.
i think that one of the measurement is wrong? 1" x 1.5 (46cm x 4cm) think it should be 13" ???
where do you leave a space for turning gap ? as it does not say in the video i presume in the lining at back seam ???
Apologies I don't know why that was missed! Yes, a turning gap in the centre of the lining seam...
🇫🇷🇫🇷👍👏💚 merci beaucoup
Can you tell me what brand of scissors do you recommend , yours looks nice and sharp , love your work
These are Korbond, not expensive but really good quality!
Such an adorable idea to make especially if you LOVE❤️ sewing. I was wondering if you or someone from your business could help me make mine. I have an object that measures 16” wide X 18” long by 7” high. I’m really struggling with how large I need to cut my fabric as I don’t want to waste supplies. Is this something you could help me with?
Thats a large gift! Try wrapping paper around it first to make a pattern before you cut...
@@debbieshore That’s a great idea Debbie! Yes it is very large. I did make a quite large one to put two of those cute bolster pillows I made from your channel and it was work and it had lots of fabric as you can imagine but it turned out adorable. The largest gift I wanted this for was a matching 2” X 60” bench pad . I decided to purchase a nice box for that one. Thank you so very much for getting back to me especially durning the hectic times of Christmas . You are such a sweet soul and I wish you and your loved ones a merry Christmas and a healthy new year❣️
Please recheck the measurement for the channel - it states 1”x1.5”. Is it meant to be 15”? Thank you. Just wanting to make sure before I get started cutting my fabric.
It's got to be 15" as 1.5" wouldn't be long enough. I've gone through the video again but Debbie doesn't make mention of the length.
Sorry, should’ve 21” x 1.5”
@@debbieshore 😄 thanks for clearing that up 👍💯
@@debbieshore sorry, I don't understand the measurements. In the video you said the channel strip won't quite meet together, but if it's to be 21" that's 2"wider than the bag, also you have 7 scallops at 3" wide, so should the fabric be 21"?
Will any interfacing do for this debbie?
I think a medium weight works best, fleece wouold work well too...
Debby. Where did you get your iron and board?
They’re on my website, www.debbieshoresewing.com
@@debbieshore Oh! The two things I want are out if stock. Gutted.🥰
I’m not seeing any measurements , can you please repost? Really cute!
Hi, go to SHOW MORE typed right under the video, or depending on your computer, click the little red down arrow on top right of your screen, this will open up the details, good luck !
The measurements say 19” x 10”. If you use 21.5” x 10, you’d get seven petals instead of six with a bit to trim off.
Thank you 😊
