I have made my first one. I added a tab and lobster claw for keys or perhaps a strap, and I lined it with RFID fabric for credit card theft protection. It is a very light layer and makes no difference in bulk or thickness of the wallet. Thank you for your clear instructions.
Thank you Debbie for this tutorial. I always look forward to your videos. Clear instructions makes it so easy to follow. Definitely going to make this.
Thank you for this video. I've been looking for a wallet to make and this is just the video I'm going to use. Your videos are so easy to follow. The way you instruct and your soft sweet voice keeps me calm when trying to sew something new. Thank you so much for making this video available to beginners like myself.
Thank you so much Debbie for the tutorials. Love following you and you are such an inspiration. I will definitely have a go at this wallet. I am so busy making bags for Christmas. I am following your example and using drawstring bags instead of paper. The overall look is so much nicer than wrapped in the Christmas paper. Better for the environment too. Lots of work but worth it.
I love your videos! So far this week I’ve made a phone pouch, cross body bag and a messenger bag. I was so pleased with how they turned out I’m going to have a go at the wallet today. I think it would make the perfect gift for Grandma for Mother’s Day next weekend. Thank you so much for sharing all your wonderful ideas and expertise 😊
Thanks Debbie, another little masterclass. I've just made this wallet as a present for my friend and I am so so pleased how it's turned out. A video I would love to see is your sewing machine bag from your book. I made this and struggled a bit so would love to see a step by step a video.
Hi Debbie and everyone. If you leave a wider opening for turning and finish the edges without sewing the opening closed you could have a secret pocket for keeping things like your passport and boarding pass, etc. or whatever you want to take, but, keep a little more secret and secure.
Great wallet. Thank you. I sometimes have a longer zipper than needed. Leave the pull tab outside of the item, then cut after it’s on. I like the glue idea….does it gum up your needle?
I just recently found your channel and I love it!!! Your tutorials are fabulous and so easy to follow. In this video there is a bag behind you with sewing machines on itt. I think it is fabulous. Do you have a tutorial for that bag? Also, do you carry that fabric in your shop? Thank you so much. Take care ❤️
Hi Debbie…could or would you use basal foam and quilt before cutting out the outside and zip pocket or would it be too thick? Thank you and I LOVE your channel and have made several of your projects❣️❣️
Thank you. Like the way you take us thru the project step by step. Am from India. Could you please tell me the name of the fabric glue and is it available in A.azon?
I plan to make the bowling ball bag as a Christmas gift. Now I can include a matching wallet. It's very interesting that the friend I will be making this for, told me yesterday how disappointed she was because her favorite thrift store didn't have a bag she could buy the other day. She said the prices were as high as brand new bags. I didn't tell her that I already planned a new purse for her. The only reason I had not started yet is because I know she buys a new purse at least once a month. So I hesitated making her something she might only use a few weeks. I will make a few changes, so she can wash it to keep using for a longer time without having to iron it. Having a matching wallet will make it perfect, even if she does buy another purse before receiving this.
Very well explained. I have been looking for a wallet that I would feel confident making and I think I could do this one. Have you done any of these in Cork or vinyl because I'm thinking I would like to make it out of cork.
I love this pattern! Would this pattern really work with cork? Wouldn't it be too bulky to turn right side out at the finish? Thank you. This was a great video, you teach very clearly.
I've been looking for a wallet to sew up for a long time now . This one i like a lot , but measurements are not given for the fabric to start with ? I also cant see anywhere to open a description box ... LOVE your tutorials Debbie
I’ve seen other wallet videos where the card slots are stitched at the top folds. Is this done to stiffen the slots. You just folded, ironed and stitched them in the middle and on the sides. What is correct method?
Do you have the measurements for this wallet, or am I just not seeing it. Thanks for all your amazing videos.I have made tons of stuff watching you. Tammy
Thank you for a great tutorial on making the wallet and an an inspiration to many people including myself. Can I ask what size magnetic snaps did you use please.
Love this wallet, thank you! If you wanted to give it more body, do you think Bosal or Soft & Stable would work in the outer fabric areas, or would it be too bulky?
I ‘d like to make you wallet, can’t find the fusible fleece you suggested, is it a medium weight? Or what else would you suggest, thanks for sharing your video
I'm working my way through your projects.... What make is your large ruler with the measurements and angles on? I've been trying to find something like this. Thanks
Hi Debbie. I have been FB messaging you with a query from a pattern in your new pbk on Tote Bags, but the only response I get is a bot asking me to tell it more. And more. And more. I just want my query answering. Is there any way you can help, please?
Brilliant Debbie.
Debbie... you are so good in your tutorials. Many thanks. Been watching for years but always learning. Big bravo to you.
Hi Debbie...... I'm loving this wallet....looking forward to making this next....thanks for sharing
Thank you very beautiful great description on how to make😊😊😊

Wow 🤩 nice 👍 wallet and thanks 🙏 for teaching your so helpful now I can make this for my families Christmas gifts 🎁😆
This is such a good idea lovely for little gifts
Love this pattern. I made it with Harris wool and it was a real challenge due to the thickness but I managed. Will do these again! Thank you Debbie!
You and your big scissors Debbie! I don't know how you do it. My stuff would be cut in half using those for snipping. Love it 🥰
Oh wow....I just noticed the big scissors.....it would definitely be a disaster for me...lol
It's going to be fun to pick out the fabric for this wallet
Thank you Debbie for this tutorial. I always look forward to your videos. Clear instructions makes it so easy to follow. Definitely going to make this.
I've made two now, one as per your sizes and one I adapted to be slightly smaller. Many thanks Debbie x
Happy to make my next Debbies project!! Blessings dear 👍👍🇵🇪
Thank you Debbie for this amazing Project!❤

Just made one, thank you very much Debbie, you are the best 😘
Thank you Debbie, this is so easy to follow I can’t go wrong 😊, thank you 🙏
I'm thinking of using Cork. I think it maybe harder to sew the bulky bits. I'll use a hump. Hopefully that will work.
Beautiful 😍 love ❤️ it .
Thank you can't wait to make it!
Lovely wallet. Thank you for the tutorial. 😊👍💕
Great pattern and lots of options to enhance. Thank you ❤
Great teaching and is easy to follow
Love this wallet, I made it in cork and am going to try make one a bit smallerXX

I just made one❣️. It was so easy to follow. Thank you! I’m pleased with the way it came out, so I’m keeping it for myself 😂

Love her teaching without just showing with the music.

Now that IS a clever idea 💡
Yes very good addition… will try that too. Xx
Great wallet. Thank you. I sometimes have a longer zipper than needed. Leave the pull tab outside of the item, then cut after it’s on. I like the glue idea….does it gum up your needle?
This is awesome. I’ve been looking for a travel wallet that offered holding areas, but doesn’t add much weight. Thanks so much.
Hello, je découvre votre chaine et vous remercie pour ce tuto

What a nice friend you are!
Are we using a 1/4 inch seam? Love all your videos.
Very well explained. I have been looking for a wallet that I would feel confident making and I think I could do this one. Have you done any of these in Cork or vinyl because I'm thinking I would like to make it out of cork.
I haven’t, but that would work very well!
If you use leather, do you need to put interfacing on the lining?
I love this pattern! Would this pattern really work with cork? Wouldn't it be too bulky to turn right side out at the finish? Thank you. This was a great video, you teach very clearly.
Cork is actually quite a fine fabric, it would work well with this project… glad you liked it!
I've been looking for a wallet to sew up for a long time now . This one i like a lot , but measurements are not given for the fabric to start with ? I also cant see anywhere to open a description box ... LOVE your tutorials Debbie
ahhh ok, found it YAY !!! what can be used instead of a magnet snap ? I don't have the tool . Maybe a Velcro strip ?
Hi Debbie could you please make this wallet with a zipper right around instead of a snapper. I would love to make one.
Would you suggest adding a strap to the wallet - to able to use when your shopping instead of bigger purse/wallet.
Good idea!
Tammy
I’ve got the measurements of the main pieces, but what’s the size of the pocket, ie how deep please ❤
Where do I get the fabric measurements? Please and thanks
It’s in the description, hit the “more”button
Thank you for a great tutorial on making the wallet and an an inspiration to many people including myself. Can I ask what size magnetic snaps did you use please.
These were 14mm, glad you like it!
😊
Love this wallet, thank you! If you wanted to give it more body, do you think Bosal or Soft & Stable would work in the outer fabric areas, or would it be too bulky?
I think that would be too bulky, maybe a firm stabiliser like Decovil would work..
I ‘d like to make you wallet, can’t find the fusible fleece you suggested, is it a medium weight? Or what else would you suggest, thanks for sharing your video
Do we use a 1/4 inch seam to sew all pieces together
@@debbiebechelli4225 how about the fusible fleece? What is comparable to what you used?
I'm working my way through your projects....
What make is your large ruler with the measurements and angles on? I've been trying to find something like this.
Thanks
That’s an Olfa.,,…
If I make this in cork Debbie, would I need to add fusible fleece to i t ?
I think cork would be fine without fleece..
@@debbieshore many thanks x 😊
Debbie l cannot find the measurements below your video. Where do l click on to find your measurements. Thank you Ann from Mississippi
Can this be made in cork?
🥰🦋🌈🦋🥰
At what point did you use the fleece ?
Hi Debbie. I have been FB messaging you with a query from a pattern in your new pbk on Tote Bags, but the only response I get is a bot asking me to tell it more. And more. And more. I just want my query answering. Is there any way you can help, please?
Could you email enquiries@debbieshoresewing.com please
So your zipper was 7 inches in the video, so how come it says 10 inches in your box below?
Where do you find the measurements and method
Cutting instructions are on the description box under the video…
