There's a great deal of supporting evidence indicating that partials are just as effective as full ROM. Approaching failure then completing more partials is a great way to get into hypertrophy.
This is true, but only if you are actually stretching the muscle under load. That's why Full ROM is a good guideline, but then attempting STRECHED partials afterwards is certainly not a bad idea when full ROM failure is reached. The problem here is that Sam doesn't stretch out the muscle being trained entirely. He kinda of just throws the weight around within the middle ROM of the movement, never fully contracting(not a horrible thing), or extending(definitely leaving gains on the table).
@@jazzy_burrito generally agree with that. I would quibble applying it broadly since growth is highly dependent on individual genetic responses. I don't believe the Rich never tried to stop himself, i'm confident to stating that Rich stayed away from the gnarly stuff at a later date in his life so Sam being younger and braver "bravery and stupidity are brothers btw" I don't see Sam shying away from the gnarly stuff since for him he's confident his youth will protect him for awhile but that wont be the case all the time and he's gonna slip somewhere and thats simple probability guessing so its inevitable unless he stops and that's a big IF.

Also, do you think Sam makes videos so that people DON'T watch them?
So hard to ponder what goes on in your noggin, sir.
Sam Sulek works the hardest. I have nothing but respect for him.
And his pharmacist.
The loss of range of motion during fatigue is Sam's patented move. I don't know about the science but I will say I noticed a substantial jump in feeling of tension, growth, and muscle pump doing these last few half reps at the end instead of just stopping. For what it's worth it felt fantastic compared to standard set
That’s the pump but not doing full range can limit sets in the future as you get older since flexibility of muscles is very important when you age 😊
I’d rather have full range of motion then be bulky with no actual strength.
Are the last few reps particularly painful, does getting them done feel like it reduces stress? (Not physical stress, but brain stress.)
have you tried just doing full range motion for all your reps and you notice more of a difference when you go I cant get this last 2 reps take 2 sec to rest and do the full range of motion hate to break it to you its your mindset if you don't think you can do the last 2 reps then you're just using that excess instead of working harder wow congrats bro

To be frank, I think this is the easiest way to fool yourself with “holy math”.
Jeff’s idea is good in terms of content creation, but it is really a futile exercise, most likely inaccurate in terms of results and input data. Let’s not even take into account the short time span he based the research on.
Finally, whatever the conclusion is, other than a nice pie chart, it is totally irrelevant if you don’t gear up.

I myself ran a case study on Sam Sulek n the common denominator for his gains besides his hard work was the juice he is on. Keep up the hard work Sam.
I view these things really as guidelines for beginners and then as you lift more experimenting with your own individual biological responses is great. Works for him but maybe not others. 🤷♂️
Whatever prolongs time under tension..
No shit his recovery is fine dude is pumping so much gear that it’d kill a horse
Sam is literally training himself to be a short-stranded hulk of a human being in heart failure.
He's a humble treasure, he's an inspiringly hard worker, and he's building a body with only one purpose; being massive at any cost. And it'll cost him a lot.
The next rich? Hope not, but it seems like a similar trajectory
And his name is.. JACK HANMA!
Agreed because of the PED's. But at least he does cardio alot.
People said this about Arnold
Right now it's a passion for him but there's a big difference between Sam and Rich and that's how potent the PEDs that are available right now and that's gonna be either kill him earlier or later depends on if the drug companies actually give a crap for keeping their customers safe or give a crap to delivering GAINZ to their customers.
