      @@zefsagala8327 Very low heat for about 5-10 mins. You don't want to damage the milk. Fresh turmeric is better

    My mom says this really does help her sleep MUCH better. Also, turmeric is an excellent cancer buster.

    Incredible drink, I made it on a whim late one night recently when I had a chesty cold and coughing up phlegm, I was back to sleep in minutes feeling much easier.

    Tip: Honey should be added AFTER you pour the hot milk in a glass as boiling it makes the honey taste funny. Honey isn’t meant to be boiled 😊

      Also, when honey is subjected to heat above 161 degrees, the natural nutrients in the honey are eradicated...

      The entire mixture is only to be heated, but without boiling.

      Yes.. I’ve heard that when honey is boiled, it can be poisonous too..

      ​@@Would_You_Rather5 There isn't scientific evidence that boiling or cooked makes honey poisonous, and no poisonous substance has been found in boiled honey. It could make it a little less nutritious. But it is an ayurvedic belief that cooking honey makes it toxic. I don't ascribe to ayurveda but I understand some people do, just wanted to give some information on this topic for anyone wondering because I got curious seeing your comment 😅

    This is great! Going to make some with oat milk as I have a family history of Cancer and need to avoid the estrogen and IGF-1 in dairy. Thanks for sharing

      @@michaelcambridge1542i make this nearly every night and it’s always great! Tastes great and helps me drop off to sleep. I also think it helps with my restless leg syndrome, and cramps.

    I made it because my 88 yr old nana woke up in the middle of the night with heartburn and I used Lactose Free milk, I added 1tsp Turmeric, 1tsp cinnamon, chamomile, vanilla, maple syrup for taste and midway through the cup she started falling asleep again and she said she felt better with no more heartburn. Usually it takes a long time for any medicine to work but this worked fast🔥🔥🔥

      You can also mix in a 1/4 tsp of baking soda and water for heartburn. Get's rid of it instantly.

      1/2 Teaspoon of Turmeric is enough. That's more than 2 grams. Cinnamon and pepper can give you heartburn. Try almond milk and just a dash of fresh ground pepper and 1/2 teaspoon of honey.

    If you can’t take milk of any kind, water will work just as well. I am prediabetic and have to watch my sugar, so I use Stevia. Works very nicely.

      Stevia is very harmful . Use date sugar or date syrup.

      Turmeric needs to be eaten with fat to be effective so try almond milk instead of water.

      Around 60°C, when it's still comfortable to drink without burning your mouth

    You could add coconut oil too this concoction to get the full anti-inflammatory benefit it has to offer, and this should by no means to be boiled; at best to simmer ❤😘

    My eyebrow threader just told me about tumeric milk to help my skin from the inside. I drink a lot of water and I've cut back on my sugar quite a bit, but I keep breaking out. My dermatologist has ordered topicals for me but I do want to try something that will work on the inside as well 😊

      Mt teenager made her own skin mix using turmeric coconut oil. It's working for her and it's clearing any dark spots.

    A full teaspoon of ginger root powder? That's a lot, especially if you use a strong ginger root powder like I do. Ginger root before bedtime can actually keep you up because it's a mild stimulant. Otherwise, this looks like one of the better Golden Milk recipes and the one I'll try to make my first cup of Golden Milk.

    I have a silly question 😳 this milk turned out yellow and delicious, but I noticed that the spices settled down at the bottom of my cup. Am I supposed to drink that too to get the health benefits or the liquid is enough? Thank you!

      Thanks for the feedback. NO, your question is not silly. You can drink the settled bits if you want. I swirl it into the last bit of the milk and drink.

      You can but you won't get all the health benefits from it. Tumeric absorbs into your system best when combined with black pepper. You only need a pinch of it and will hardly notice it.

    You need to add some fat in that milk , use ghee or little bit of olive oil will do.
    Turmeric needs fat content to be Fully absorbed by the body.
    Adlnd ad the honey after preparing the milk in the last step.
