I recommend adding a little bit of Fat in it for better absorption like Olive oil, coconut oil, or ghee. Turmeric is fat soluble. That means it dissolves in fat and not water. Enhance Absorption: The black pepper and fat (coconut oil or ghee) help enhance the absorption of curcumin, the active compound in turmeric, which has powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. Now, combining it with ground black pepper as well may help increase your body's ability to absorb turmeric's beneficial compounds. A substance in black pepper called piperine, when combined with curcumin, has been shown to increase bioavailability by 2000%.
@@AngeSeg22 If you're drinking it for pleasure you can do as you like. For example using condensed milk in it is super delicious! As a health drink, however, not so much. 😆 For optimum health benefits this is best made fresh every time and drunk warm to hot. The spices are activated with heat and are time sensitive. The longer you leave these types of things, the more the benefits evaporate. A few days in the fridge and you're basically just drinking flavoured water...
Nice calming video. No fuss, no heavy & loud music. Just plain and simple. What is the cute little metal object to the right in the thumbnail? It looks vintage. Would have liked to see you use it, just to see how it works.
Great video! And here’s my simple way to make a nutritious and stomach-friendly version while saving money: 1. Boil the milk three times on its own. 2. Remove the pot from the stove. 3. Add all ingredients and mix with a portable frother or mixer. 4. Include 1 teaspoon of ghee (clarified butter). This method helps preserve nutrients. The heat after cooking activates some compounds without damaging them. Ghee is a healthy fat that offers various benefits. 🥛
Thanks for the recipe, man. I’m feeling kinda sick and fatigued today and this drink is definitely helping. I already feel less nauseous and I’ve drank less than half of it
My opinion. Bring it close to boil, but don't boil it. Also, you need to have some form of fat. Add a nice teaspoon of coconut oil in the mix. If you can buy fresh tumeric and ginger better than powder.
A better way in my opinion is to bring the tumeric to a boil in water. I do this because I only use raw milk and dont want to kill the good stuff in the milk. You can warm the milk though. Add the water with the milk. You dont need much water.
@@landguardeagle22 Could you please elaborate on how you do so? After you've boiled the turmeric in water do you use a sieve then transfer it into the raw milk?
My understanding is that you can exacerbate the heathy impact of turmeric affects by adding pepper and cumin in addition to a teaspoon of full fat cream.
I am starting to put turmeric in my coffee. I also use Chinese 5 spice. Thing that make you go mmmmmmmm
I use Ceylon cinnamon it has good health benefits. It’s a little expensive but worth it.
Invented by "India"🇮🇳 and now a days it is using by all over world. Nice to see.😊❤❤
❤❤❤
India has the best Tumeric foods for health. My favorite is Tumeric rice.
@@jamescummings6703 I would have to agree with you on that 💯
I love golden milk 😊
@@np2679 it tasted so funny. Maybe some vanilla extract might help? You have to get determined to finish swallowing this muck.
I made it and loved it. Thank you 😊
Thanks for the recipe
For sure!

What a great comment, thank you…I will start adding ghee :)
Agreed! I add 1/2 tsp of coconut oil (homemade) and 1/8 tsp of black pepper. Aids in absorption and you don't notice it in the taste.
If you watched the video, you will see that he has already included black pepper.
Does anyone drink it cold …if I make and store in fridge. Would it have all the same benefits do you know ? Or best to drink warm?

Hi hw many TYMS can be taken in a day?
My understanding is that you can exacerbate the heathy impact of turmeric affects by adding pepper and cumin in addition to a teaspoon of full fat cream.
I believe that's the way to go too :)
I have a small cup of this each night before bed
Great idea--it's known for helping with sleep too so that's perfect :)
How did you grind, crush, cut, grate the ginger?
Use a garlic press...
In my opinion, maybe I'm wrong but I would not boil.I think is better raw and fresh to drink it.thank you !
You might be right, either way this tastes so good :)
I would like to try this recipe with camel milk.
I’ve made this with pistachio milk.
That sounds decadent beyond belief.
Lovely recipe, but when using teas/infusions etc. for health benefits you need to use a non metal pan. Ceramic or glass only!
Thanks so much for this, I didn’t know but will change to ceramic and glass from now on :)
I sweeten mine with monk fruit sweetener.
Just suggested this to my best friend with insomnia. But honestly seeing all these comments I might try this too. Can I use oatmilk?
Perfect! Yes, I actually use oat milk when I make this and it’s so creamy and delicious.
@@ICookAndPaint Yay! Thank you 😊
He used oat milk 😊
Can you use goat milk and some kaffir yogurt??
You can for sure :)
This was the regular in India before the Energy drinks culture.
Interesting but true! :)
Is ginger with milk is a good combination ?
Please guide..
I don’t see why not :)
I can’t stop drinking this, I have to buy milk more often now. ❤
Glad to hear it! And your body loves you for it too-cheers!
I usually have a cup of turmeric milk each day.
Can you also add nutmeg?
Yes definitely, it would be delicious :)
Can we add saffron
Yes for sure :)
Is it necessary to boil
Maybe not, but the turmeric will cook better and more ginger flavour will be released.
How about heart problems can we still drink it.
Good question, I am not a doctor so I cannot answer accurately but I think everything in this drink is heart healthy :)
Can i use almond milk instead
Definitely, it will work great :)
Bro it's from India🇮🇳i drink it many time you didn't even said this is an an Indian recipe🇮🇳
I didn’t know it originated in India but next time I will mention it for sure :)
Calm down lol

Calm down Sanjit.
Stop shitting on the beaches whilst you're at it😂
youre supposed to use saffron in golden milk
Kinda like Indian Chai ?
Very similar, yes :)
So many youtubers and influencers think they have invented something new.
Hi. Everytime I do this my milk curdles? Any idea why
Sorry to hear that. Is there a chance it came in contact with something acidic? That is my best guess.
@@ICookAndPaint fresh ginger?
@@davebutcher701 Not sure…I use fresh ginger with milk often (this recipe and masala chai) and it doesn’t curdle.

Where is the fat? In order to get the full benefits you need butter (not margarine), or olive oil you improve absortion.
I think you’re right, will try that for sure :)
Canadian.
I can always count on your videos for useful tips! If you’re into natural wellness, Planet Ayurveda’s teas are a game changer. Highly recommend them

Why strain out the ginger? Just chew it up...
Certainly right :)
What is it for
It’s a very healthy antioxidant drink that also helps you sleep.
Golden shower next?
Lmao why?
💀
Adding honey into a hot liquid negates the benefits.
That is true. Definitely better to add the honey after it’s cooled a bit.
Why would strain or ginger😂😂😂... add a lil bit spice
I Stopped drinking milk
Okay Dainne 😭
I use almond milk or coconut milk
Hey cutie pie, use real tumeric (its cheap); I like the idea of fat/water to extract the tums and ging
