Ghost is the greatest 80s metal/rock band of their time. Nobody comes close to their style or their range in genre. They are and will always be immortalized in music history...
Pro Tip: Don't expect to fit Ghost into a genre, they play every possible genre in rock, sometimes several on the same album. Anyway, it's fun when people expect Ghost to be [insert growly death metal vocals here] when they're very much the opposite... MOST OF THE TIME. There is a song that has some of that called Mummy Dust. Also, the singer/only member of the band Tobias Forge was also the singer/guitarist in Repugnant, a death metal band, so... he already knew to play with the imagery while delivering 70s & 80s style pop metal. As for recommendations: Kaisarion off the new one which has a touch of Rush in it. Mary On A Cross the LIVE from Atlanta 2022 version which has a bit of the Doors in it. Or the Faith from A Pale Tour Named Death video which is solid catchy metal stuff.

They've definitely changed their style from album to album. Not exactly more commercial sounding just singing about the devil in every conceivable sub genre of rock. Probably check out square hammer, rats, and my personal favourite absolution.
