Fun fact. Tobias came up with the main riff when he was out swinging his kids on the local playground. He just mumbled the rhythm in to his cellphone to remember it and continued to play with the kids.

That’s dope, Tobias is the man. Jerry Cantrell of AIC has done similar, he said when he’d think of a riff but was busy he’d just pull out his phone and record himself doing the melody and then go back to what he was doing and then play the recording back to himself when he was writing music. That’s how he created the killer riff to their song “stone”
Sounds like he came up with it by playing Metallica's "and justice for all" on half speed. 😅 get strong vibes, but good after all ❤

As a musician myself Ghost is one of the most fun bands to play and sing. Their music is absolutely beautiful, from their slow jams to their harder stuff. And the music videos are full of lore and flair. They are the best rock band in the world right now. I will be seeing them for the 3rd time next month and I can't wait

One of my favorite reasons for watching you is always how your body/facial expressions matches the song, especially about half way through with the switch up! Your analysis on these sorts of themes/videos really do hit it on the head too, like with the 80s rock scare talk!

If you end up doing "He Is" just know that the later part of the song was inspired by Tobias' big brother who he lost right as Ghost was blowing up. He has said it was like some horrible deal. He became famous but lost his brother, the person who inspired a lot of his love for music.
I don't know many of their songs, but I have seen them LIVE, at VOODOO FEST, when TOOL headlined, and the only song I remember was SQUARE HAMMER, and they put on a GREAT CONCERT/ SHOW, I was impressed

I’ve been suggesting Ghost and this song for so long now. Glad you finally made it happen. Ghost are one of the few that can make such a dark and doomy song like this so beautiful at the same time. If you want another catchy Ghost song with a great story and video, Dance Macbre or Call Me Little Sunshine should be next

Cirice means in Olde English, Church. I believe that Tobias Forge is a fan of either original or remake, Carrie, who uses telekinesis in either to defend from or hurt her enemies because that little girl keeping audience from leaving with her mind and hands.....awesome video

Cirice (pr. sir-ees) is an old English (West Germanic) girls name which roughly translates to "Church". In the song it means she is his temple of worship, but you have to ask yourself... exactly WHO is being worshiped within her? 😈😈 but it is really more about seeing people for who they are and accepting them as they are, born of natural sin and everything. Nothing to confess or repent for. Also, I really enjoyed dancing Aileen. 😁 My favorite Ghost video is Dance Macabre.
"Rats", "Square Hammer", and "Call Me Little Sunshine" are fantastic songs from them I bet you'd love. Thanks for coming back for another listen to Ghost. 😊

This song means a lot to the fans, for the reasons that you picked out so observantly (sense of alienation, otherness that 'he' can resolve)! The middle section, where he reaches out to the girl, is replicated live, when he chooses someone from the audience then and sings to them. He used to be able to hold their hand as in the video, but no longer (stages are too large!). This is called being 'Ciriced'.
As for further suggestions, the beautiful but heavily ironic *He Is,* as suggested, the extremely catchy *Square Hammer,* *Call Me Little Sunshine,* *Spillways,* *Griftwood* (no official video for that but you can get it in YT... And a much overlooked but very catchy song, *Witch Image,* which actually has a video made by fans. So many! For the evil and satanic, *Year Zero,* especially live versions. Also the bitter *Faith* (it's about the legal events of 2016) from a Pale Tour Named Death - a studio version set to live footage, but very effective.
For the pure ballad, see the moving *Life Eternal,* which has been used at both weddings _and_ funerals..! The video set to fan footage in Mexico (Palacio de los Deportes) is wonderful, when Copia is promoted at the end to Papa IV, following a heartfelt filmed tribute to the fans going to the gig, which was actually the last before Covid shutdown.
