“What Would You Do?” (WWYD?) explores the varying answers with the help of hidden cameras capturing individuals who have been placed within seemingly everyday situation that quickly go ary. The individuals on this hidden camera show are forced to make tough calls when directly faced with situations of racism, violence, hate crimes, and other hot button cultural issues. Catch John Quinones reporting on these individuals as they make split-second decisions to intervene or mind their own business.
“What Would You Do?” airs Friday nights at 9|8c on ABC.
What Would You Do? (WWYD) is a hidden camera show, hosted by ABC News correspondent John Quinones, in which unknowing bystanders are placed in uncomfortable, and often compromising real world scenarios in public. WWYD’s hidden cameras focus on the average person’s responses and reactions to these issues of social responsibility. Topics such as gay couples being affectionate in public, date rape, racism and racial profiling, interracial couples, abusive parents, drunk driving, and harassment of the homeless are touched upon in this series.

I was in foster care for almost 2 years. Unfortunately this kind of thing happens on the daily and case workers look the other way because of the overwhelming need to foster homes in the USA. You think using these kids for cash is bad it is but the fact that some foster kids don’t get the support from the government it need leads them to walk around in old torn clothes shoes that don’t fit because the vouchers we get are not enough in today’s rising economy. The only hope foster kids have is being placed with a family member, being adopted and the less likely scenario politicians, taking notice.
@NYTXK9 Well what do you expect? When they’re running millions of people and they’re all multi millionaires often from wealthy families it’s hard for them to feel any actual sympathy for normal people.

I cried watching this. So many kids in the system that go through worse than this behind closed doors have no one to speak up for them and stop the abuse. I wish I was able to adopt kids. But there also are good people who adopt kids and give them an amazing life they wouldn’t have had.

My late wife used to foster children, before we met.
She would mostly take the emergency cases, the ones which has been through the worst abuse, and often for the short term. But some stayed with her for up to two years.
She would have about 10 kids at a time. Over the years, she had several hundred children who had been through her care.
She would always make sure that each child, after actual living expenses, had some money to spend themselves. This is something that she felt was very important for each child.
She never did it for the money.
One thing which always amazed me about her, was how good she was with children, they always loved her. It was such a beautiful thing to see her interact with children.
She used to get so upset about foster carers, who used foster children as a meal ticket.
If she had been in the scenario in the video, she would not have kept quiet.
John Quinones is the best. His calm energy and confidence is sure to calm even the angriest person down. He's the best!
It’s sad because these foster parents aren’t going make it obvious in public, so a lot of this will go completely un-noticed.

This made me think of when I was a child. My sister and I were put into a foster home that had several other children. We were given an allowance of $500 to buy new clothes for us because we had just been put into the system. The new Foster mother gave us a bunch of her children's old clothes and took her kids to buy new clothes, went out to dinner and a movie. They made my sister and me stay home and clean their house. True story. At least this kid got some fries, LOL

@@Anonymous-ld8qw Wow. I meant I HAD it even worse, I was with an abusive foster parent for 2 years and I was treated even worse than him, I am now not in foster care, the reason I have electronics. If you want a fucking life story I'll give you one asshole.

@@Anonymous-ld8qw She would beat me and my siblings up every single day, and I was so skinny I was told by everyone to go to the hospital because I might have an eating disorder, that kid would've been lucky to get that full plate of fries, heck I was even lucky I got a little bowl of just cauliflower for dinner. I had to make my lunch everyday and I was like 4-5!
