What would you do when you think no one is watching? What Would You Do? (WWYD?) explores the varying answers with the help of hidden cameras capturing individuals who have been placed within seemingly everyday situation that quickly go ary. The individuals on this hidden camera show are forced to make tough calls when directly faced with situations of racism, violence, hate crimes, and other hot button cultural issues. Catch John Quinones reporting on these individuals as they make split-second decisions to intervene or mind their own business. WWYD? airs Friday nights at 9|8c on ABC.
What Would You Do? (WWYD) is a hidden camera show, hosted by ABC News correspondent John Quinones, in which unknowing bystanders are placed in uncomfortable, and often compromising real world scenarios in public. WWYD’s hidden cameras focus on the average person’s responses and reactions to these issues of social responsibility. Topics such as gay couples being affectionate in public, date rape, racism and racial profiling, interracial couples, abusive parents, drunk driving, and harassment of the homeless are touched upon in this series. What will you do? Would you choose to intervene in these situations? Watch and join the discussion.

The young man-eating alone-who grew up in a single family home-truly haunts me. The comment about there still being kindness in the world and his want for people to know that is heartwarming
His smile and happiness when saying “give the boys some cake!” Like he was back to being the boy needing help and getting that help too.

The man in the baseball cap who started crying broke my heart, you can tell he went through a lot when he was that age and this got to him. And that last blonde woman was an absolute angel. That’s one of the most generous gestures I’ve seen on this show.
We Southerners get put down a lot, but when push comes to shove, we help each other. Not surprised how these great Louisianans reacted at all!✌🏽

Lord still in the blessing business
I remember those days all too well. As a young boy, it was tough to sit in that mall food court with my single mom and four siblings, sharing just two plates of food meant for six. The embarrassment and insecurity weighed on me, just like in the video. But you know what? We were never alone in our struggles. Despite our financial hardships, we had an abundance of love for each other and support from our community and friends. It's those acts of kindness that made all the difference. Today, I stand here, humbled by life's journey. I'm grateful for the opportunity to be one of those good samaritans, to pay it forward, and to help others who may be experiencing what my family once did. It's a privilege to make a difference in someone else's life, just as others did for us. Let this video remind us all that our past challenges can shape us into compassionate individuals ready to uplift those in need. Let's be the change, the support, and the hope for others, just as we once received. Together, we can make this world a brighter place.
Amen...
I don’t usually cry at these videos but I cried here. This his so close to home it was so lovely seeing community, one another helping a person in need. We are all people. My mom was a single mom from when I was 12, we became homeless and many days she’d go without a meal to feed us. Yet she still helps others if they are short of some money or upset etc.

This whole segment had me crying. . . Bless all of them. Even the actors.
The mother set such an amazing example for her daughter, she should be so proud
This made me cry. I've been there before. My daughter wanted Olive Garden for her birthday. I just didn't have olive garden money. But I took her and figured I'd say I ate at work. I refused to not leave a decent tip. After ordering just water and her fettuccine. No protein. I could tell the waiter could tell I was worried about pricing. The waiter ended up bring out TWO plates off chicken fettuccine. I immediately told my daughter dont touch it baby, thats not our food. But the waiter said it was his mistake and he was sorry. Also he wouldn't charge me and I could keep it since it was already made. I about cried into my pasta. I went back after pay day and left him an extra $20 tip. Such a sweet kid.
Hot take. As the child in that situation. Just do something nice with her, buy the ingredients and make her a special olive garden meal, have her help. Kids are complicated but spending time with you is worth more than any materialistic gift(even if they dont realize it yet). And then when you do have the money you can go all out. (Of course i realize its already said an done but I think this is good for struggling parents to see. Disappointing your kid is hard but a necessary sacrifice. Just make sure you make it up to them when you can. Even if you just gotta start saving extra money to do something fun later. Of course not every situation is the same you might not be able to do anything else like cooking but as I said. Sometimes you kid has to be disappointed. Wait. Get the money for it. Like really get the money for it. Then do it.)
Also im not saying what you did was bad or anything you did what you thought was best as a parent and no one else can actually decide whats best. I guess what im saying is more of a suggestion? Idk the situation just reminds me of my mom and all the cool little things she did to distract me from everything. I didnt always get a blow out birthday party. We did something really tiny but still like a full celebration. Or we didnt do anything and did one really awesome thing later in the year.
So why wouldn't you just wait until pay day to take your kid out? Lol!
@@sonnyred6852 some people really do feel like they disappoint their kids alot and that kinda makes this complex where they want to do everything they want for them as soon as possible. Ot sucks for the kid too when they realize whats going on. Well thats assuming the kid takes on a more mature role and stops asking for things or tries to deny help all the time. I started sobbing 😭
@allahloves faryaalmakhdoom Those kids weren't just born. Many parents fall on hard times well after their kids are born, so just saying if their finances were bad they should've not had the babies is not only horribly wrong and insensitive but its also irrelevant to this "skit"
allahloves faryaalmakhdoom sounds like you’re mad because you have too many siblings
@allahloves faryaalmakhdoom you do realize people fall on hard times isn't their fault they get divorced or their partner leaves without a trace that they become widows that they get laid off they got sick and got fired because cant make it to work life happens.. nothing ever remains that same at any second life can shift and the unexpected happens
Am I the only one listening way closer in restaurants now? So many tears... beautiful ppl are still on earth!
John you always do something positive. I cried like a baby. Thank you
People: Feels great about helping others
John: Y U did that?
He triggers old wounds and this makes me sad
