If he did it as a joke to see what he could get away with, he's not gonna succeed. Motherfucker is gonna have to divorce me to win that joke. Also, I'm polyamorous so he can date other people but it's not cool to abandon our designated time to be with someone else. In our relationship that would be cheating. (There are other agreed upon rules, too.) As far as confidence goes, I have an immense level of trust with my husband that I didn't have in previous relationships because of communication and self work we've both done. I've learned something: if people are gonna cheat, they're gonna cheat. That's a reflection on them, not me. It is shitty and fucked up, but I'm not living my life looking over my shoulder. That said, I don't judge others for struggling with jealousy or being hurt when they're cheated on. It's part of being human. I can be hurt too. In fact, I have body dysmorphia and it affects my confidence significantly. But my husband is not gonna beat me at a game of flirting-chicken. I'm too competitive.

I let it go because I figured maybe she was just being friendly, but then we noticed a heart and a phone number on the check. My husband and I went out to dinner with my parents and the waitress was so unbelievably attentive to him and no one else at the table and at the time we were pretty much still newly weds so there was a lot of hand holding, we were wearing our rings and were very clearly a couple but she kept coming over and sparking up a conversation with him and asking him every like 10 minutes if he needed anything else, blushing and giggling..
She didn’t look at me or my parents or ask us if we needed anything.. it was just the funniest thing and I mean my husband is an attractive man so I can’t blame her. It was just classic to watch even my parents were laughing at the situation!

@@fishsauce2221 You won't have a girlfriend for very long if you try to make her jealous. Plus, flirting with patrons slows down efficiency. A waitress's goal is to serve patrons as fast as possible. If I have 10-20 tables that need my attention while I'm taking my sweet time bantering with you, my boss is going to have a problem with me. So it's not a win-win.

I would have reacted negative on the 2nd disrespectful attempt and put a full stop on the 3rd, if they were mild. I worked as a waitress back in the day and I never heard of a waitress hitting on a customer sitting with a woman. For one thing, you've got a LOT of other stuff to do. And sitting with a customer? Not likely. But what I used to hate was men sitting with their wives hitting on me. I remember one guy who wasn't even a bit shy about it. Told me how pretty I was, how graceful, yadda yadda. Wife looked just miserable and embarrassed. So I proceeded to flirt shamelessly with her. Told her how great she looked (and she did, btw), lots of eye contact, little smile, touch the hand... This has happened to me from both sides, meaning i was hit on, and another time my boyfriends were hit on in front of me. When i was hit on i straight forward said this is my partner, and we are together having a date. When it was the other way bf said nothing to that affect....i did ask bf to say something after # request happened. And commented to waitress that her behavior is inappropriate and rude. That golden rule applies 100% of the time. I let both of them know i would not be paying for anything especially this treatment. Everytime i broke up due to the point that they did not say anything or take any action steps, period, the end. I have never been married and would like to believe as a married couple both of our responses would be on a united front, and much sooner action steps.
