I had something like this happen to me. I am a gay man and I was 23years old, I was working as a waiter and I had 2 customers and they were very nice at first and then they asked me if I was single and I said no I have a boyfriend. And the look of disgust on their face sent shivers down my spine and they were extremely rude to me the rest of the time and were mocking the way I spoke etc. and I brought them their bill and when I went to grab it and they had already left. And I opened the book the bill was in and there was a note in their that they left with the money and it had homophobic slurs and it said the only tip you will be getting is from your boyfriend. And I had never had something like this happen to me and I was at the table reading it I started to tear up and the table next to where I was saw this and called me over and they said did they leave you a note, we saw them writing something and I said yes and started to cry and the husband got up and hugged me and the other customers that were in my section asked what was going on and the wife explained and said that table had been so rude to me and they wanted to say something but were nervous that would have made it worse. Which I understand and about 10 minutes I went to that table gave them their bill and when I came back they left me a $100 tip on the receipt slip, and then their was. $150 in cash and they left a note saying that every customer in my section pitched in and they all agreed I was an amazing waiter, very polite, respectful, and they very much enjoyed me. I was totally blown away. And every table that chipped in for the cash also left me another tip with their bills as well. I was so touched and it really made my day.
I'm sorry. People piss me off. Homophones pretend like everyone is on an equal playing field and that we don't need pride or advocacy anymore but they couldn't be more far from the truth. I've had my fair share of homophobia and it really messed with my health

Your comment is edited and I still have no idea what you're trying to say. In America, servers survive on tips. The common practice is to tip about 20-25%. The point of this show is to see what people would do if they are put into certain situations. What is or is not make believe does no matter. What you think is or is not real does not matter. This waitress was receiving hate, and her income was being threatened. People take their own lives over this when everyone around them expresses hate for something they cannot change. This is a serious matter and one the world needs to become more aware of.

This one actually made me tear up... I once had an older (creepy) approach me and ask, and I quote, "*HOW MANY* boyfriends do you have?" to which I responded that no, I have a wife. He took literal steps backward and started going off about how vile, disgusting, etc., I am, going to hell, and literally ran out of the store while yelling all that at me over his shoulder. Every single person who witnessed it rallied around me. There wasn't time for anyone to intervene and I know how to stand up for myself and quite vocally told him to eff off, but having everyone making sure I was okay afterwards was incredibly meaningful. Even if somebody DOES stand up for themselves, your support still makes a difference!

People’s private lives don’t have anything to do with customer service. If you’re going to apply that kind of thinking then you’re going to have to ask every person who provides you with a service what their personal beliefs are and if you disagree with any one thing then you won’t receive that service. You will end up having zero services because everyone will do something that you disagree with. So it’s better to just focus on the service that is being provided and tip based on the service you received not on whether you agree with the personal choices of the person serving you.

I’m a Christian woman and a bisexual. One of my closet friends are non-binary and they are amazing! My cousin is transgender and he deserves nothing but to be himself and kindness. It hurts my heart to see things like this because this is what gives us Christians a bad reputation. God loves everyone, not just straight people. I’m disgusted that some people feel entitled to call themselves a follower of Jesus when they’re just hypocritical Karens. God made everyone in his image and no one isn’t who they should be. We have no right to judge people to their face like that. The only judge that matters is God, and he will side with gays, lesbian, trans, non binary.
