Hey guys!!! FINALLY hitting some Triumph, it’s been a long time coming!!! What should we check out next by them?! See you guys this Sunday for the Live PO Box opening, 5pm EST!! Cheers all!!! 🙌🏻🔥
Do Allman Bros Statesboro Blues you will not regret it. (It has the best slide guitar part ever.)
rock'roll machine-Triumph's best guitar and drum work
hey sorry for the accidental spam messages on patreon i think my internett must of lagged when i sent it and it sent multiple :( but this is a decent song i think this is the first time ive ever heard this song too definetly a good song
I think you gotta go with FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT. That's another banger for sure 🔥
Follow your heart is also a sick track by them !
1979 Lay it on the Line rocks!!! Ric Emmitt has serious pipes!!! And he can play that guitar 🎸🤟
Next?
1) Magic Power!!! (Biggest hit and sooo good)
2) Fight the good fight (kicks ass!!!!!!!)
3) Rock and roll machine (drummer singing - very Deep Purple/Zep/VH-ish) 💪🤟
Rock and roll machine is the 10 minute guitar solo for the live performances. Gotta watch a good live version of that song! Studio cut is great but...
Fight the good fight!
Absolutely the next two you should give a listen.
All great points!
Those are the three.
I haven’t seen “Fight The Good Fight “ in the comments yet one if their best as well
I've requested it a few times.
We used to say Lay it on the Line was Fight the Good Fight part 2 , so you got some content covered..😝
Ooh that’s a good one to cover too.
I have multiple times
LOVE that song. That song and Magic Power are my two favs by Triumph. Also "Fool For Your Love"
"I don't ask for much, the truth will do just fine" one of my favorite lyrics of all time and words to live by.
100%agree.
April Wine is an Canadian Band that had a huge stretch of hits in the 70's into the early 80's. They had hits like, I like to Rock and Looks like a lady and and many more. This could add to a Canadian Music Revival!!
Brian Inman could throw some Harlequin in their as well. 80s Canadian music really rocked
Sign of the Gypsy Queen.
Mel Guzik Totally agree!
Another great 🇨🇦 band from around those years: Streetheart. Hollywood, Snow White, their cover of Tin Soldier, Action, among quite a few others, are all great!
We had our own private collection of fantastic bands that *ROCKED!*
Play Night Of The Gypsy Queen by april wine and that will be the end of that.
She's a Roller and One More Time
As a proud Canadian I love this band and have seen them 3 times in the late 70's early 80's. Rick Emmet is a guitar virtuoso and also has a great voice. I love this song and the many other hits they had. Always great uplifting lyrics and musicality. Canada has dozens of fantastic bands you should check out. The great white north has so many great bands that are overlooked!!!
Max Webster...
Another Canadian band. April wine. “I like to Rock” 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
And Sign of the Gypsy Queen.
Helix Rock on
Some like it hot babe
My favorite song from them is Oowatanite. But they have alot of hits , bad side of the moon is another one not listed here.
‘’I Like to Rock’’ - that bass intro... shit man. Shit..... 🤘🏻
Oh dudes! Triumph is like Lay's potato chips...one is NEVER enough! SO many great songs. Rik Emmett is a great singer/songwriter and a virtuoso-level guitar player. Listen to Magic Power, Hold On, Fight the Good Fight, Somebody's Out There (which is sung by their drummer, who is also a great vocalist)...you've started a beautiful musical journey with this band!
csbrown3 and don’t forget The blinding light show !,
I was OK with just one.
From Toronto. Absolutely! Great Canadian band.
You are correct about drummer Gil Moore- a stellar singer in his own right. What a voice! What a band to boast this kind of talent and precision.
"Magic Power"
"Ordinary Man"
"Fight the Good Fight"
This
@@litchfieldnh-whatsupnews9274 also spellbound
Agree 100% 3 best songs they did
theres follow your heart. killer song
Magic Power Live from the US Festival.
"They nuked the site from orbit!" - Ellen Ripley
As great and successful as they were, Triumph is still one of the most hugely underrated bands ever.
Absolutely one of my favorite bands from back in the day... Rick Emmet - such a talent!
Can't go wrong with Triumph. Rik Emmett is one of my favorite guitarists of all time.
Next Triumph song "Magic Power" and "Fight the Good Fight".
Hey guys another great Canadian band to react to - the Guess Who, songs like American woman, these eyes, no sugar tonite - you can't go wrong with these classics!
Great band!
Don't forget the classic "undun"!
Oh yes 100 percent!
Yes indeed
Great suggestion
"Magic Power" and "Hold On" are musts.
And "Lay it on the Line" live from Halifax.
True that!
Said it before, I'll say it again
FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT
The guitar solo in the studio version is one of the tastiest ever recorded by anyone.
"If they have more like this."
Is it possible there's a rabbit hole in your future, boys? Yes, I think so...;^)
LOVE Triumph! Saw them twice! They sound even better live.
Gotta get to:
Magic Power
FIGHT the Good Fight
Ordinary Man
There are sooo many!!
I was lucky enough to see Triumph 3 times. They opened for Rush back in the late 70's. Awesome stage show, lots of talent. Thanks for reminding me of all of this. Cheers!
I would include Hold On in that list
I forgot Never Surrender too! Good csll.
Triumph, April Wine. My teenage years!
...and Trooper. :) Raise a Little Hell.
Love April Wine!
I like to ROCK
Triumph was my first concert. They came with Ozzy and zz Top. Rick Emmett has an incredible voice.
Watching these 3 perform live is magic.....They can all sing and play like hell.Ric Emmett, lead singer and lead guitarist was u.f.b. With 16 albums, they got 18 gold and 9 platinum awards in U.S.and Canada....so these guys were no flash in the pan.
This song in an amazing Triumph! Other songs: "Magic Power", "Hold On", "Follow Your Heart", "A World of Fantasy", etc..
All four are excellent suggestions.
UFO - LIGHTS OUT, LOVE TO LOVE
All UFO are F'n Bangin!
Michael Schenker guitar god
100%
100%👍👍👍
If your recommending UFO the "Only You Can Rock Me" needs to be first.
Rock Bottom is a must listen
Rik Emmett Is a great singer and guitar player, seen him live before, Great!
One of the few bands who are even better live than studio. If you liked this version watch their 1983 live performance at the US Festival. Mind-blowing.
Omg. No one does reactions on Triumph. They are my most favorite band from the 80’s!! Thank you!!!
Woo! I literally jumped onto this 22 seconds after posted. GREAT band! Two lead singers although all the radio hits are sung by Rik Emmett (like Lay It On The Line). Magic Power, Fight The Good Fight, Hot Time In The City Tonight or with Gil Moore singing (and drumming): Allied Forces, Rock & Roll Machine, I Live For the Weekend are great ones to try. Hold On is their only top 40 hit.
Somebody's Out There went to #27. Hold On made it to #38. Both are great, but I like Hold On better.
April Wine = ‘’I Like to Rock”. Very understated. Definitely a closet classic. From Nova Scotia too. Video was filmed in the same studio RUSH recorded in... 🤘🏻
Canada’s Southern Rock Band!😀😀😀
Yeah, April Wine is a sorely underrated band. My favorites are :
Sign of the Gypsy Queen
Roller
Just Between You And Me
If You See Kay -- :D
That song is cool in that it "samples", if you will, riffs from The Stones' Satisfaction and The Beatles' Day Tripper.
Yeah - April Wine. Bad side of the Moon - Andy should like the song's prominent bass line. And Weeping Willow - Alex would appreciate it for it's Christopher Walken Approved use of percussion.
Victim for your love (from Stand Back)
Speaking of Canadian bands, you guys gotta do some BTO. Roll On Down The Highway, Sledgehammer, Not Fragile, Four Wheel Drive.
BTO Canadian? Then good choice
Bto a great band indeed,a fav
GOT to do "Let It Ride"
Yep those are great picks, and their first album also kicks ass
I believe when the guess who broke up two of the members formed bto. Bauckman, Turner, overdrive
Rik Emmett, singer on that song and guitarist, really has a high voice and a strong high voice. And you are right that is his chest voice not a head voice hitting that high!! Even now in his 60s he really can still hit most of the high notes which is amazing as many singers lose the ability to hit high notes unless their natural singing voice is that high. Check him out live at Daryl's House from around 2015 singing the Triumph classic Magic Power! Well worth it. Gives me goosebumps watching it!
If you like Triumph, try Never Surrender off the album of the same name. A World of Fantasy off the same album was a top single at the time and well worth a hear too. I also love Battle Cry off the same album! You might say Never Surrender is one of my favorite albums by them! :)
As always love to hear your reactions and keep it up!
Rick is definitely one of the most underrated rock n' roll singers
The most positive band ever. You guys definitely need to explore more.
Gotta do more from these guys, Triumph rocks man. Gotta do "Magic Power" next.
Oh yes, Magic Power has always been a fave... and diving into a great Canadian group is recommended during this current heat wave!
One of my favorite shows of all time. Triumph and April Wine 1978. Only bangers from this Canadian power trio!
Weeping widow
April Wine... college jams
Yeah A&A definitely need to check out April Wine!
Excellent. There was a period during early 80’s when Triumph was the biggest band on the planet. Listen to Fight the Good Fight, live at US festival and The Blinding Light Show. Rik Emmet is one of the most underrated guitarist ever. Great on vocals. I really love this band
Blinding Light Show was awesome live! The arena starts out dark until that line and then light just exploded everywhere....well...it was blinding!
they sure were the biggest rock concert draw for a few years in the early 80's, and all word of mouth too !!
@@SirManfly Yes, they were a very big draw...saw them 3 times...rock on Doug!!!!!
@@nannettedean7686 me twice as well 👍
I can actually remember debating with my friends who was better, Rush or Triumpjh. Hard to believe now, as I'm a huge Rush fan, but there was a time back in the day, when there was a serious debate about it! Great live band!
Criminally underrated band. Hell of a power trio. Glad you guys got around to reacting to them!
I don't go very deep into these guys but their hits are absolutely epic perfection. They've been called "Rush's prettier cousin."
Ha the peeps I hung around with called them the poor man's RUSH. But nothing poor about their music IMO!
With good reason too -- not necessarily any better or worse than Rush, but much easier to "get into" especially with the hits. Even Rush's best known songs / biggest hits still feature a lot of dynamic changes, multiple time signatures, etc. Triumph are much more straight-ahead pop-rock/arena rock with just a hint of that prog goodness in there. I love them both though, and actually one of their "most Rush-like" songs at least among the hits is my favourite song they do ("Hold On").
"Alex, I'll take Rock Legends for $1,000". "The answer is,,,",This Canadian Power Trio had a Lead singer who was also their Guitarist, and had extremely pretty hair." "Who is Triumph ."Correct".
Not by me.
Rush's less talented, less interesting cousin. Rik Emmett is great, the rest of the band, meh.
Try "Follow Your Heart" for a taste of the drummer taking on the lead vocals.
Also, Never Surrender, Magic Power, Hold On, Fight the Good Fight, and of course, Say Goodbye. With Say Goodbye the song just before "Petite Etude" transitions well into the second song. Also good if you like acoustic guitar.
Rock and Roll Machine
"Follow Your Heart" is a great one that doesn't get the acclaim it deserves. One of my all-time favorite "pump you up" tunes!
Agreed....Gil has a great voice...needs to be heard for sure
This is the song that introduced Triumph to the States. Great place to begin. They went on to have even bigger success with songs like 'Magic Power' and 'Fight The Good Fight'. Thanks guys, great way to start the week.
They should watch the Triumph US Festival live footage. Awesome band!
I saw these guys on March 18,1983 in Chicago. It was a Friday. One of the best live acts I have seen. I was 19 years old.
I am still going to campaign for GREEN EYED LADY by SUGARLOAF. There is just something about that song. So atmospheric.
Pat Travers does a cool version of this song
Make sure to do the album version not radio one.
One of the first albums I bought, and I'd nearly forgotten about it!
@@stuartcruickshank6441 Thanks, I'll have to check that out and report back.
@methehappyone I have not heard that one. I will look into it.
Definitely do "Magic Power" by these guys next, beautiful epic rock jam!
Live version, if possible, as well. Although studio is terrific
👍🤙🤘
Definitely been in my top ten since '79. Must hear "Just A Game". ✓
Good call on Just A Game. Might be their best song.
Brings back sooooo many memories.Guys April wine "I like to rock" is a must next Canadian rocker tune as well as Aldo Nova "fantasy" even Loverboy "Working for the Weekend".
Someone mentioned April Wine: "Sign Of The Gypsy Queen" or "I Like To Rock". Check out Head East "Never Been Any Reason", or Nazareth "Hair Of The Dog", or Foghat "I Just Want To Make Love To You".
For some more southern rock flair:
Molly Hatchet "Fall Of The Peacemakers" or "Flirtin With Disaster"
Ozark Mountain Dare Devils "If You Wanna Get To Heaven"
Marshall Tucker Band "Fire On The Mountain"
Yes, All!
Scott Hall Head East for sure!!! Love the entire album
I've suggested Head East a couple of times...hopefully they'll get to it soon
John Schlitt from HEADEAST is an incredible vocalist!
Check out another great Canadian band, "The Tragically Hip".
Not as flashy as some other bands from Canada, but definitely the best band to come out of Canada.
Chilliwack is another Canadian band. Their song "Fly at Night" springs to mind.
Do I have to turn in my passport, my touque, my Naniamo bars recipe and my Swiss Chalet card, if I admit Hip isn't in my top 5?
Rush, Guess Who, BTO, The Band, Rankin Family, Bare Naked Ladies, Jeff Healey Band, Blue Rodeo, Crash Test Dummies, Triumph, Arcade Fire, NY & Crazy Horse, April Wine, Great Big Sea, aren't all rock bands, but all get more play in my house/car.
Time and place I guess.
Chuck Fu Fabulous list. I was thinking of Chilliwack and Jeff Healy. Jeff was so truly talented. Saw him live in a bar killing it, mid 1990s. Sounded as good live. Amazing artist. And totally blind, ripping that guitar on his lap. Love the performance where he kept up with Stevie Ray Vaughan and Stevie smiling, loving it .
@@ms.chuckfu1088 I will fight to the death for your right to be wrong. :P
This song was a real rocker in their early years. There is no Triumph 'sound" however because each album goes in a new direction. In my opinion the "Allied Forces " album is their best so try "Magic Power" or "Fight the Good Fight" which I think is their greatest masterpiece and really kicks ass but is mature at the same time.
Morning Gents! This is a good tune. Had a roommate in college who LOVED Triumph. Got me into Rush, Triumph, and Zebra.
Zebra! forgot all about them.
Zebra is another rabbit hole
In 1983 I saw Queensryche and Zebra as rising stars in Seattle, loved Zebra a great 3 man band...oh ya and it cost 3.50 $...lol
Zebra now tours around doing shows with local symphony orchestras. They do their own stuff and an awesome Zeppelin set. Randy Jackson sounds like both Plant and Page in their prime. He does their songs better than they do. It's amazing.
They really need to check out “Who’s Behind the Door” by Zebra. Every time I listen to it I get completely lost in it. It never gets old.
Absolutely ROCKIN' band, too often overlooked. Thanks for your reaction.
🇨🇦😎lovin it from Toronto Canada........Triumph was a Canadian hard rock band formed in 1975 that was popular in the late 1970s and the 1980s, building on its reputation and success as a live band. Between its 16 albums and DVDs, it has received 18 gold and nine platinum awards in Canada and the United States.
I'm do Triumph's Magic Power next. It is a lyric heavy song but gives a good feel for their style.
Great choice for next song. Kind of the counterpoint of The Spirit of Radio.
More Canadian bands The Tragically Hip "Blow At High Dough" Matt Mays El Torpedo "Cocaine Cowgirl"
My favorite Triumph song is "Magic Power". I love it sooooooooo much ~ enjoyed it. Thnx Gents ♥ Ric Emmitt is an all-around amazing musician.
You guys are always about the ‘facts’, so I have to point out a fallacy: nobody who subscribes to your channel is ever going to angrily unsubscribe, because your opinions flow forth like awesome sauce, so there’s no reason to ever leave. Keep up the great work!
Rik Emmett is the Lead Vocalist and Lead Guitarist of Triumph, a virtuoso as a guitarist and an amazingly powerful singer as well. An interesting tidbit, I met the man about 15 years ago at a local venue here in Canada, got his autograph, and he's a lefty. A left handed guy who plays guitar right handed. thought that was interesting.
If you want to hear another great 3-piece band, give Zebra a listen. "Who's Behind the Door" or "Take Your Fingers From My Hair" are a good place to start. 🤟⚡🔥
Don't forget Tell Me What You Want.
@@johnfoster5295 And "Bears"!!
Try a Canadian 3 piece band goddo from Toronto Ontario
❤❤❤❤
@@johnfoster5295 "As I Said Before" "Time" "One More Chance". I coulda kept goin', but I just wanted to give them a starting point. I KNOW if I can get them to listen to ONE Zebra song, they'll keep coming back for more.::🤟⚡👂🎼
Hey guys! Another great reaction to a very underrated Canadian band!
"Magic Power" is the shit...also a couple of my favorites "Hold On", and "Fight the Good Fight"...Also from the Never Surrender album, "Never Surrender", When the lights go down", and "World of Fantasy"
Just loved Triumph!! Someone said one time they are like Canada’s version of Journey..pretty accurate!! They have that great 80’s sound!! The song “Hold On” is a banger and so is “Fight The Good Fight” and always my favorite... “MAGIC POWER” which was my JR/SR Prom theme in 1983”. Great band!! Would have loved to see a tour with them and Rush! Would have been a great tour!!
That’s a cool junior prom theme? Where was the prom? What year? That’s awesome
@@analogkid4957 Missouri in 1983! It was a blast!! Cool decorations, too!
@@juliebrockett3471 wow St. Louis? I saw them on the 1983 tour Never Surrender album in Long Island, NY. Best stage light show I ever saw in my life. That’s awesome your class picked that song. They must have been huge in your state or area back then?
@@analogkid4957 yes they were!! We were all listening to them at the time and thought that this song would be perfect for our JR/SR prom.. so we set it up! It was really great!
This was from 1979 ,,,, That 70s SOUND IN DEED
How have you not re-hit these guys again? You'll never see this on this old video but LIVE at Halifax or the US Festival '83 "Fight The Good Fight" will raise that A+ grade a notch.
“Magic Power” and “Fight the Good Fight” are two you should check out. Also from the same great era of rock from Canada, check out “I Like to Rock,” “Just Between You and Me,” and “Sign of the Gypsy Queen” by April Wine.
I like to rock came out in 1979 ,,
Best Triumph songs:
Fight The Good Fight
Magic Power
Never Surrender
Allied Forces (Gil the drummer singing!)
Blinding Light Show/Moonchild
"Time goes by" has always been my favorite Triumph song but it never was popular.
Excellent Song!
Agreed, was also one of my favorites
What you also need to know is that Rik Emmett is the lead vocalist and the lead guitarist, shredding as he sings.
Not sure if you've explored the Scorpions, but if not you should. Start with No One Like You or the The Zoo, IMO.
Scorps rock and kill! A must do band!
Still loving you
Loving you sunday morning and still loving you!
Oh....and Coast to Coast, Is there anybody there, In trance, Always somewhere and Send me an angel!
All good, gonna add "Rock You Like A Hurricane" on there
This song is an absolute banger and features some of the tastiest guitar licks of all time.
Singer reminds me of Tommy Shaw of Styx/Damn Yankees. Damn Yankee's is also a good band to react to as well. Damn Yankee's, High Enough.
There’s another 3 piece rock band out there- The Police , you’ve likely heard of them .
I wouldn’t do the studio stuff. Check some live jams for talent accentuation.
Synchronicity 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so glad that you guys finally got to do triumph. They are so underrated and have such powerful music. I agree hold on, magic powers and fight the good fight will blow your minds away. Listen to them
Hey guys, thanks for the Triumph! Since Rush is my all time favorite band period, I must suggest my 2nd favorite Canadian band April Wine! Man, check out "Roller" from '78.. fucking banger w triple lead trade-offs!
Tom Cookman Yes!
@@j1974f thanks man! Musician minds think alike, and hopefully Andy and Alex will give another very under-rated band a listen. Cheers!
For a Canadian band, listen to American Woman by the Guess Who.
Coney Hatch
The 14 minute live version of American Woman when they are old and fat is the one to go with.
Rik Emmett had some of the finest chops back in the days for a guitarist. He could sing pretty well too (as you’ve heard on this track).
Gil Moore (drummer) also had a pretty sick voice.
One of the best power trio ever.
He still does.
I don't think I heard Triumph before, but I agree, great chops!
Triumph, “Rock and Roll Machine”. There is a killer guitar solo in there as well. Doesn’t get better than this!
Great song, great album!
My first and favorite Triumph album
thanks guys.. for listening.. and playing some solid triumph... Rick. Emmett lead singer.. in his 60's can still sing up that high.... him doing magic power is another great song and follow your heart.. thanks guys...
Guys, this made my fucking night! These guys were so important to me growing up. Their music is so positive and uplifting. They don't get the respect they deserve.
OMG, you guys have been hitting my sweet spot lately. ELO, now Triumph! Rik Emmett, lead singer and guitarist...so underrated as both. Rik is amazing. I love Triumph so much, I have Magic Power tattoed on my leg...lol. You should definitely listen to that song next. Fight the Good Fight is an awesome song as well. After that, I'd look at the group April Wine, a very good transition from Triumph. Keep rockin, guys!
"Fight The Good Fight" or "Never Surrender" next !!!
Triumph-Fight The Good Fight -VS-
Thin Lizzy- Fighting My Way Back
Same theme, different aporoach
A&A should react and grade both individually, then compare.
... oh yes both of these songs. I almost forgot about 'Never Surrender'. Great tune.
Fight the good fight for the win!
You gotta do Rock 'n' Roll Machine, if you're doing Triumph!
Unusually, Ric Emmett was both the lead singer AND the lead guitarist. All that talent in one guy...
Triumph "Rocky Mountain Way" (cover), "Blinding Light Show" and "The City Pts 1-3" add "Hold On"
Shooting Star - "Last Chance"
You won't regret it. I'll keep pushing this one as it is one of the most powerful songs in rock! Have one of your buddies preview it for you if you need to. Absolute killer of a track!
Shooting Star if phenomenal. Saw them several times. They are out of KCMO. “Hang on for you life” is a stone cold banger.
Thanks so much for giving some love to Shooting Star! I've been trying to mention them too, but feel it's gonna be a long shot for them to listen to Last Chance. I agree, it's one of the best classic rock songs, which unfortunately a lot of people have never heard. What an awesome band that is so underrated and underappreciated. Thanks again!
@@tims7077 I gotta ask, any chance you are a drummer, Tim Scott out of Independence, Mo?
From KC and grew up on this. I still pull out Last Chance and blast the F out of it regularly. And I'm mostly a reggae head these days.
@@aFiliandsomejoe Unfortunately no. Sorry about that. Thanks again for starting this little thread for Shooting Star fans. As you and I know, they deserve to be listened to.
It's been a couple of weeks, so I'll plead once again: Minstrel In The Gallery - Jethro Tull. Amazing musicianship and you'll have a field day with the lyrics.
The best ever lyrics you will ever here in your life time is "Ordinary Man." My favorite Triumph song.
Awesome tune! One of my personal favorites as well.
Absolutely a classic
"Stranger in a Strange Land" was the one that lyrically knocked my socks off. For one example: "In the shadow of Danaclea's atomic sword..." so Reagan Era cold war accurate. I do give props to " Ordinary Man" Especially for "Watchdog of Justice... "

Other great Canadian bands - April Wine, The Stampeders, Talking Heads, The Guess Who, Bachman Turner Overdrive.
wow....the stampeders.........you're one of the very few that knows of them....shout out to you
Triumph ! - finally - these guys ripped it up back in the day, great INSPIRATIONAL Rock & Roll from Canada Eh ! RIc Emmett has a great voice, loved leotards and he played a double-neck on stage, what a combo !
"Hold On" , "Fight the Good Fight" , "Magic Power" , are all great, and 1 from the 80's - "Follow Your Heart"
MrD "Never Surrender" is another inspirational. I'm thinking they inspired the Red Hot Chili Peppers a bit? Give it a listen, you have a great ear for this. Later!! :)
This is on my Cruising list when I'm cruising down the highway!
TRIUMPH FOREVER!!
Ric Emmett has a great voice. Triumph put on one of the best shows I've ever seen! So happy you chose them today!!
They were great live. Blew Rush off the stage,
Rik plays a double neck during this song for the video and absolutely shreds it
Triumph has always been greatly underrated. Both the drummer and the guitar player have fantastic voices. They’re an amazing band to see live, as well.
"Rock and Roll Machine" and "Blinding Light Show" (live) should be high on the list of Triumph reactions. Follow up those with "Magic Power", "Fight the Good Fight", "World of Fantasy", "Never Surrender", "Hold On", "Spellbound", "Tears in the Rain", and the Rik Emmit solo masterpieces that are "Little Boy Blues" and "Midsummer's Daydream" (a sign of where he took his playing after leaving Triumph)

"Blue Collar"
@@gvbezoff absolutely one of my favorite songs of all time. I'm a night owl. And love jazz influenced rock. It speaks to me every time I hear it.
Yes, finally a BTO request.
You could also try Tom Cochrane, with or without Red Rider. Great song writer and rocker
Definitely Tom Cochrane. I would go with "Sinking Like a Sunset".
Love the sound of those drums. Very 70's.
Yes, Canada Rocks!!!!!
For somethig a little different, check out the Crash Test Dummies, The Superman Song. Very Canadian. Brad Roberts voice is awesome.
Max Webster was THE Canadian party band back in the 70's, if you can imagine the illegitimate love child of Rush and Frank Zappa, that's Max Webster! Love me some BTO, Saga, and Guess Who (American Woman) as well, in addition to Rush, Neil Young, and Triumph, of course 🍁 :)
Not rockers but two of the greatest singer songwriters, Lightfoot and Mitchell
I saw Max Webster as the lead off band for Rush on their Presto Tour in Phoenix.
not sure if it's from a solo career or not but Kim Mitchell's "Go for a Soda"...LOVE LOVE LOVE that song
More Triumph is called for... for sure! Magic Power (any version, recent one unplugged is awesome), and Fight the Good Fight live from 1987 are amazing!
April Wine: Sign Of The Gypsy Queen
Also, we need some more Skynyrd!!
21st century schizoid man also
oowatanite
April Wine
Sign of the Gypsy Queen, seriously would be in my top 20 list of songs to listen to if stuck on an island. 😂
This dude was one of the FEW singers I couldn't hang with on the high notes in my younger days. Absolutely incredible!
I remember when this first came out, still jam to it today. Triumph has made many albums and they are all a+. They rank in my opinion as one of the greatest bands ever. They don't make music this good anymore and its a shame.
