The most impressive part is that you guys found a spot in the (I assume) general Ottawa area to actually shoot 1000 yards! Lol
I play around a bit in Northern Ontario up at the cabin the best places I've found are the secluded lakes down logging trails easy to find 800 to 1,000 yd. Got to bring a canoe or duck boat to set up but it's really safe cuz there's typically only 1 trail leading to the landings on the Lakes I use so there's no chance of someone being out there without me knowing.

I do a similar exercise with my 22-250 varmint rifles at 500 yards by using a 1 liter bottle. It's not as easy as many would think. Wind is big factor.

Ha! That’s funny, “pop” is definitely the more common term in canada, I thought “soda” was american but I guess that’s not quite right!
As soon as I moved to the States, I switched to soda.
Ive done that with 4 moa correction for wind . 6.5-284 at 1020 yards.

We were all shooting 6.5 creedmoor, except Thomas who was shooting 6.5x47
I just have to figure out how to raise my aim by 1,200.7” to get there. Not kidding!

Why do ELD-M's suck? What is preferred SMK? Berger VLD? Brad seemed to be badmouthing the Scenars too.
They don’t suck, he just couldn’t hit it with his loads made up with ELDMs, and then made the hit with a BTHP
ELDMs are actually great, I was using some old left overs from a few loads and just happened to connect with a BTHP after missing with a few ELDMs lol. All in good fun.
I have had really good luck with the 139gr Scenars. I was surprised at how much more wind I had to hold at similar velocities to the others. I suspect the lower BC of the Scenars had something to do with it
@@Brad_OGrady I guess as long as you can calculate your windage consistency is all that matters. My guns like Sierra, but I am shooting 300 yards max. Blitz King for my .22-250 and Game King for my .30-06.
After first shot with 0.8 and hit to the left why next round you moved to 0.9?
I couldn’t see any splash after the shot and just before setting up for the video we were holding 1.2-1.4 to get hits out there

There's not that much damage being done on "dem dire" bottles? Stainless steel is flexible, so there's a lot less pressure around the bullet. Here's a simple rule of thumb for all guns, "If it aint black, attack" ..
