My mom almost fell victim to one of these "payment error" scams. After hanging up the phone for her, I showed her the last scammer video to help her understand what was going on. Can't wait to show her this next part of the series. Thanks Mark!
My mom got caught by one too. She was upset and tired and on her cellphone, and ended up giving them her credit card information. Luckily she called me immediately afterwards and told me about it, because after she hung up with them she started getting suspicious. So we got her credit card cancelled and a new one issued, so they didn't get any money from her.

Yeah I don’t think people realize how terrible of a crime this is. A lot of these victims don’t really have this kind of money to spare. They’re being scammed out of food, rent, medicine. These are people who are vulnerable and they’re being scammed out of money they need to survive.

It's all fun and games but honestly the fact that they were able to shut down one of the call centers is probably the most satisfying part in this video.
It's too bad that they didn't have enough crews of people who were able to go to each building at the same time and hit them all at once? This way they couldn't warn each other because they all would be under attack at the same time.

Unfortunately my grandpa was one of the victims of the scammers. He hasn’t given up any money but the scammers are just abusing him now that he isn’t giving them any money. He had to change his wifi, cell phone, and is getting his bank hacked by them. These scumbags should be wiped from the internet. If you are able to somehow help him it would be greatly appreciated, he’s been fighting them for a month. Thanks, a fan.

If you pause at 15:45, their monthly target is 1.8 million. even if they had 100 workers, with a third of them works as closer that earned twice the amount ($15k instead of $7k), that's "only" about 1 million dollar in salary expense. Take another $500k for infrastructure expense and bribes to authority, the boss still walk home with $300k per month.

He was offered 9.000 rupees a month during his trial, rising to 10k after a few months. Bonuses however were very generous, for example 3 successful scams a month would double his salary (18k)

I just had one of these scammers try to trap me into one of their bs scams. Dude claimed to be from SSA (Social Security Administration) and was claiming I was scammed and needed to send money to fix the problem. I barely got past the “I am here to help you” part before I hung up faster then the Flash. You and everyone who are helping to get some revenge on these scammers are amazing and I fully support your cause, just be careful.

I've received calls from these scumbags here in Australia, and know someone who almost transferred money to these criminals. You've done fantastic work in harassing these people and getting them shut down.
I'm sad to think that it requires Mark & company to make law enforcement do their jobs by essentially embarrassing them by, quite frankly, being more effective and proactive than the authorities here in the US and India. Mark and his friends are great world citizens.
On top of all the corrupt bad eggs hampering investigations, there're also a lot of laws that prevent evidence being used in court or even prevent some investigators getting as close as they want to in the first place.

Unfortunately my grandpa was one of the victims of the scammers. He hasn’t given up any money but the scammers are just abusing him now that he isn’t giving them any money. He had to change his wifi, cell phone, and is getting his bank hacked by them. These scumbags should be wiped from the internet. If you are able to somehow help him it would be greatly appreciated, he’s been fighting them for a month. Thanks, a fan.

My mother got hit by this. They even got her to let them on her computer to "fix" their mistake. Her innocence breaks my heart. I do not know how to protect her, but I will share this with her and everyone else I know.
My mom is kinda the same. I call her every month or two and update her on any scams that i've had and tell her about ones i've seen online.

I am a bishop (pastor) in my congregation and I am working with 2 couples who have lost over 110,000 of their life savings and almost lost their marriages over scams. Way to go, Mark. Jim is the only of the 3 that actually protected the identity of the local people just trying to help stop the scammers. the people blurred in the office shots will have contracts put on their lives, and the 3rd channel forgot to blur reflections for the ex-scammer who got the physical items in the building.

He was offered 9.000 rupees a month during his trial, rising to 10k after a few months. Bonuses however were very generous, for example 3 successful scams a month would double his salary (18k)

I just had one of these scammers try to trap me into one of their bs scams. Dude claimed to be from SSA (Social Security Administration) and was claiming I was scammed and needed to send money to fix the problem. I barely got past the “I am here to help you” part before I hung up faster then the Flash. You and everyone who are helping to get some revenge on these scammers are amazing and I fully support your cause, just be careful.
