Welcome to the 1st episode of the Texas Plinking 1 MOA At 1,000 Yards Challenge. A new monthly video series where I let 5 fans come out with their equipment and attempt to shoot a 10" gong at 1,000 yards in under 10 shots. If the connect on their 1st (cold bore) shot they get a gold coin, if they connect within 5 they get a silver coin, and bronze if they connect within 10. If they accomplish the tasks, the get just one attempt at the 5" (1/2 MOA) target. New episodes go live on the 1st Monday of every month! If you think you're up for the challenge, send me an email at texasplinking1k(@)gmail.com and tell me a bit about yourself, your rifle setup, and experience. This new video series was not only made to entertain us long range shooters, but to inspire y'all to get into the world of long range shooting if you haven't already. It's certainly a ton of fun and just about the best community out there!

You should consider changing the rule for the 5" to allow them to use the remaining rounds from the original 10. So if they hit the 10" in 8, they have 2 shots at the 5". Just a thought.

Love how this video came together! Had a blast getting to be a part of this inaugural shoot…. It’s going to be really awesome to see where you’re at with this series a year from now!

Greg's rifle seemed to print the tightest group, unfortunately he never corrected for wind. I think the 300 WM bucked the wind the best with that heavy 190gr bullet. Good job Zach, I just recently found your channel, keep up the great content.

That third dude who got it in 3 was impressive with his adjustments. The other guys were steady shooters, but they weren't watching their misses.

I kept screaming for the guy that missed to dial up a click! I guess he didn't hear me.

I love how the third guy walked in his shot perfectly, first shot up right, second center left next on target. He has control

I could watch this all day. My father was on the marine shooting team in the late 50s so i was born with a 03 in my hands. There is nothing more soothing than long range shooting.
