I got the Secret Labs 2021 Titan during the Black Friday special. It’s really great. 4D arm rests, adjustable lumbar and magnetic head rest pillow. However, even the sale price was $450.
FYI hes 5'9 and look how uncomfortable it looks when he sits back, his elbows are pressed up against him lol, i bought a downix chair and this is the review i left them.......... i do not recommend The chair is EXTREMELY noisy. It squeaks and creeks with every movement. The armrests are cheaply made and could easily snap off, The metal bars on the side of the seat dig into my thigh, The back support cushion is not comfortable, The headrest isnt big enough to even reach my head unless i sit all the way back, the lock doesnt work, If i lean all the way back with the footrest out it feels like the chair is going to snap in half and the footrest is WAY too short, so footrest is useless. This chair is built for a child not an adult. For $250 i would expect adjustable armrests. Not impressed at all with a low quality chair with a price tag of $250.
The secret lab chair is good quality for sure but it is FAR from comfortable! That seat is way too STIFF. I have a 200 dollar emerge chair I bought from staples and it’s night and day difference in comfort. Idk how people are saying the secret lab chair is “comfortable” that shit is beyond me
Man i agree with this, I am in the process of returning my secret labs chair and just ordered the dowinx in this video because a friend recomended it. Which emerge chair did you buy? I was just at staples trying them.
I bought a GTRacing chair which looks very comparable to the Downix. I caught a good deal and it was well under $200 delivered. It is cloth and feels nice. The arms don't look as solid as the Secret Labs. In general I imagine the Secret Labs is of better construction, costs twice as much. will it last twice as long? Does it feel that much better? It might be worth it if you spend enough time in that chair.
I love that the armrests move with the decline in the dowinx. Just got the chair a week ago and love it. Took a nap testing out the recline with the leg rest out, guess I was tired...lol.
@@tomasgomez1906 OMG has it been a year?! I still love it! My only complaint is that the arm rests flatten. The cushions aren't the best but there are things you can buy that can go over them I suppose. I have learned not to rest on them as much as I do my desk. Which is the Secret Labs sit/stand desk. This thing is amazing and will never buy another desk again. Maybe in a couple of years I will get a Secret Labs chair but for now the Dowinx is still rocking!
In my experience, the only problem I have with the Dowinx is the armrests, they are way too high for working. 4D arm rests would have made this chair so much better.
I was looking at the back height specs and saw the numbers given by downix were almost the same as secret labs titan xl. I did some digging and saw a picture that looked like downix was measuring their hight from the bottom (under to foot rest) to the top of the chair, instead of from the seat! You just confirmed this, so as a tall person thank you! It seems a bit scummy of Downix's marketing team to do that.
Ive had the Downix for a couple of years and I truly hate the chair. The armrest faux material are cracked and broken. The butt cushion has really gotten worn and I can feel the support brace when I sit down. I DO NOT recommend the Downix chair. I am looking the get the SecretLabs chair. I hope this helps.
I have the same secret labs chair as you and am torn between getting the downix for my wife or not. She is just getting into gaming told her I would buy her first chair but don't wanna cheap out on it with some pleather one. Is your downix still working well for you for the price it stands?
absolutely torn between these two chairs- I find the dowinx chair's vibrating function interesting because I have a chronic illness and that pillow would be very useful for when my back hurts. However, I agree fabric > faux leather, and the build of the secret lab chair seems more solid. If only the dowinx pillow was sold seperately, I would buy that and the secret lab chair. There is an “S” model of that Dowinx chair with 4D fully adjustable armrests now and is the same price as the version with the curved fixed armrests that is in this vid. I just bought one
@@slxnova8106 I like it.. had it for quite a few months now and sitting in it at least 10hrs a day.. squeaks a bit, but it’s prolly time for me to tighten screws again, and it doesn’t really bother me personally. I also got my gf plus my sister a non- S model with the fixed armrests, and I feel like the cushion of mine with the 4D armrests sits better. Maybe there is something different with the frame under the ass part between the 2, but idk.

I agree. I currently have one and it's horrible. At first it felt ok, but after 4-5 months, forget about it.
