I think about it all the time when people give money to streamers, go fund me, (just examples but u get the point) but not the needy or homeless. I love how Dennis is like 'this is great' and then Alex comes in and actually gives it a technical look at it and is like 'this is too narrow, and the sound experience is not worth it' 😂 I'm glad Alex took a look though, because I would have taken a look at it, but having someone closer to my size take a look, I now know I'd be uncomfortable because it's not wide enough for me :)

It's kind of ridiculous to pay 15k for a chair that's not adjustable in any meaningful way. It's just made for a rather small margin of "standard human", probably even Asian sizes?, and if you're even slightly taller oder wider you can do absolutely nothing against feeling uncomfortable. Not to talk about people as tall as Alex or taller, who ironically are much more prone to bad backs and would therefore need massages more often than small people.
@Nitidus Not disagreeing at all, I was initially hoping Dennis just hadn't thought about looking for it, so I wrote it off until that Alex said it and there was no mention then.
And yeah; we probably get bad backs me partially because we have to slouch do much to not feel out of place along everyone else ;)

@@mayankjariya7148Nah, it's just huge margins :D Some servos and controler units, basic android control app on a cheap tablet, cheap speaners, basic fake leather/etc.
Alex officially summed up any thoughts I would have on this chair. That is why he's amongst the best writers on the team.
He is also the only one that used the part of the chair that massages the arms...it's particularly bad that Colton said "where do my arms go?" But they never pointed out or used the part where your arms actually go and anyone could miss Alex having one arm in one side of the arm massage area.

@@dreamqore Nah, parts alone are probably over 1k, as these chairs are low-volume products, so there's no economy of scale to help.
Then there's assembly, the software, the manhours,..., I'd guess somewhere around 3k per chair in total.
Dennis is usually known for being pretty goofy in various LMG videos. This just might be the first time I've seen him in a video and he actually played it pretty straight - like a typical presenter from other websites. I'm pleasantly surprised to see this side of him. (This isn't to say I don't like the silly aspects of his personality, but it's nice seeing more to his personality than just that!)

There's a salon that my old lady likes that has Osaka massage chairs for the customers getting a manicure/pedicure. This is way newer than those, the owners said they got them from an airport that replaced them around a decade ago so they don't tilt, but they've been very pleased with the chairs and I've considered getting one for myself and the old lady.

My dad got a used massage chair like this a while back. I think maybe from the same company and obviously much older. Doesn't have that should massager part or the hood and has a wired remote. Can get pretty comfy, just a bit awkward getting the program set then settling in since you gotta put the remote away and stick your arms in the massage spots.

:( channel super fun was super fun. Purely speculation but I think the reason it wouldn't work so much today is because they've expanded quickly with a lot of new faces and the chemistry just isn't the same
They said on WAN that SuperFun took a lot of time and generated not much views, it was just not practical to continue.

I love massage chairs. My parents bought one and part of the shell was cracked when they received it. The company didn't want to pay to ship it back from Alaska so my parents got a full refund and were able to keep the chair. I'm not sure which brand they have but it's similar to the Osaki in ways. It doesn't have the hood or shoulder massager but it does have armor massagers. Holiday visits include a session or two in the chair each day.
I'm kind of surprised they didn't subtitle Dennis in this one! I've never had any trouble understanding him, but if anyone here had trouble with his speech in the past, has his pronunciation gotten better?

People seem to think if this type of device is uncomfortable it's not good. This can be incorrect. When judging comfort with anything designed to put your body in the correct orientation you have to take into account how out of whack your body may be. If your body is not aligned the way it should be these devices will not feel comfortable until you allow it to do it's job. This can take time. Unfortunately it's almost impossible to know if it the device that is truly uncomfortable or if it's your out of whack body until it's to late for a refund.

I would say Dannis finally got what he wanted for the work place, a Massage chair, those things are to expensive for a normal invidual to buy but extremely profitable for a company to buy for their rest room. Even if its 10% of the ppl using it. it still is a profit in the end.
Edit: I forgot to mention, it would be a lot better if they offered these massage chairs in monthly payments (for rent, e.g. Rent a chair for 12/24 months and turn it in or buy out. for both private and business customers. Imho, They would rake in the money even if its like stupid 15% extra of the orignal price, It would be extremely hard for a new company but these companies have been in buisness for a long time
They should have put a screen mirroring monitor in the drop down hood thing. So you can connect the phone to it and play videos or etc to it. Better than having to hold a phone in front of your face.
