  • Hope everybody enjoyed “Leave My Kitten Alone”! I’m back for one more solo cover before my final video for 2023?
Here’s an underrated song off of The White Album. My theory is that this song replaced Not Guilty as one of George’s four songs on the album. It’s a damn fine one at that! I had messed around with it, and after some encouragement from ‪@sampopkin‬ (who did his own stellar version of it), I had a crack at it.
My vocals are little rough in spots, I’m aware, but I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out, especially for having learned and played it in the course of five days. I dropped the key down to F#m with a capo on the second fret. The original recording had a capo on 3. The song is haunting enough, but the slight key change makes it a bit spookier. This song is apparently about God, which I guess is pretty awesome. Always been a favorite of mine, always loved the arrangement. For the chaotic ending, I don’t have a Hammond organ, a wine bottle or a Leslie speaker. I tried doing feedback, but couldn’t get it how I wanted it, so I improvised an ending around an A chord.
    Guitar: 2020 Manuel & Patterson (www.abitaguita...) OOO-14
Amp: 2011/12 Fender Acoustasonic 30 DSP with built in chorus effect and plate reverb
Preamp: Boss AD-10 for compression, feedback reduction and EQ
The second and final collaboration in the works between myself, ‪@sampopkin‬ , ‪@davidmontis7259‬ and ‪@mendips09‬ will be ready for release . Expect to see those drop on the channel …
