  • I’ve been favoring my SG Standard lately.
Here’s my take on this song from the “Rubber Soul”. There are a ton of chords in this one, and honestly, it’s easy to see why The Beatles nailed it in only one take. I attempted more takes, but I kept missing chord changes or getting them wrong, so I said, “Forget it”, and used the first. As always, ‪@MichaelSokil‬ has an awesome one man band version of the song. Even though it’s a bit blursed, I’m using more of a “Revolver” setup to get a gnarly, nasty tone to emphasize the heaviness of the song.
Channeling anger through music is quite productive, if I do say so myself!
Guitar is my 2019 Gibson SG Standard ‘61 with Maestro Vibrola, amp is my Vox AC15C1-PL (nicknamed “Barney”) and effects are Aclam Pedals Dr Robert preamp/overdrive with the Mach Shau distortion boost and a Catalinbread Topanga Reverb.
