The transition from Altair to Ezio in that cutscene when they finally meet will always be one of my all time favorite moments in gaming, period. That rotating panning shot through centuries of time from one master to another was just art in its purest form and even watching it again today still sends shivers right through me. One of the most amazing moments in the entire series. Up until that point the transitions between the two characters were a sudden switch, triggered by Ezio looking at a Masyaf key. That was the only transition between the two characters in the entire game that was totally seamless.

To be honest, they could have developed him slower. The story of AC 3 was way to rushed, they tried to put way too many things into one game. Haytham origins, the birth of Connor, the upbringing of Connor, the training of Connor, the actual story, and even some insights into the end of Connor. They should have turned it into at least a two parter. The reason why they could flesh Ezio out so much is because they had 3 games to work with. The first is his initiation into the Creed, the second is his work in the Creed and finally as a leader of the Creed. With Connor, they basically put all 3 in one game.
I feel like AC 3 was an experiment. This was the first game that had actual side story quests, with the whole Homestead building, my favourite part of the game. This was the first time they experimented with firearms as actual weapons. I know they had a "gun" in Brotherhood, but that was just a tool. This was the first time they introduced crafting, ship combat into the game. They tried out a bunch of things and it hurt the game very much.

Kassandra's was so tragic. Imagine living your life as an immortal and seeing your loved ones die one after the other until you are truly all alone in life. She lived so so long from when her loved one's left her. Living such a lonely life missing those you cared for in your life. I wouldn't wish that in anybody. I'm sure that she wanted to die badly sooo many times but she had the responsibility that Pythagoras gave her. The mission with her and Eivor in Valhalla just broke me. She's been through so much heartbreak. I'm sure she awaited death to finally be with her loved ones and not be in pain anymore. Not only that, but she lived through so much in history. It would be so traumatizing.

I've always preferred Desmond over Layla as the modern day protag.

For Haythem's death, I believe that he let Conner kill him. Haythem was more than strong enough to strangle Conner with just one hand. But he instead let go of Conner's left arm to use both of his hands which in turn let Conner use his hidden blade in his left hand to kill him. While Haythem was very dedicated to the cause of the Templars in his own way, there was still just enough conflict in him to at least give his son a chance to live even if it meant he would be killed by his own son.

Spoilers - After destroying the order of the ancients and setting up the brotherhood with the help of Hytham, she goes on multiple adventures with final one being in Paris around the year 886, she returns and settles back in Ravensthorpe taking care of the clan. After an extended period of time, she decides to leave the life behind in search of a purpose, as she finds the life as a Viking and an Assassin meaningless, so she says her goodbyes to all friends, including King Aelfred who creates the templars with the help of Eivor. Then she finally sets sail to Vinland, as she encounters the apple there, to seek peace from the Odin sage inside her and learn from it, instead of fighting it. We know this place is Concord, Massachusetts. It is presumed to be death from natural causes because she gave up the life of violence in search of wisdom and knowledge. This also sets up Assassin's Creed 3's plot as she helps out ancestors of Connor.

    Bayek's and Aya's story probably:
They had an extremely good run and were probably feared as ghosts amongs the "templars", since none of them even knew they existed (they would make terrible assassins, if so). So I think they both lived the rest of their lives as assassin mentors, maybe met new loved ones and died of old age.
Arno: As we know Arno wanted to leave France with a ship, as he talked bout it in the Dead Kings DLC. Not sure where he went, but maybe somewhere, where the assassins are minimum active since he was cast out of the brotherhood. Maybe started his own kind of little business, retired and died of old age, to
    Eivor:
Eivor never really had interest into becoming an assassin, so after the events of Valhalla he finished the things in England that were left, after all the missions were done. Then he must've sailed to America (Vinland) where he maybe met a Native American women, fell in love and died of old age as a retired viking and ally of the assassins.
My personal theory that would be the most logical endings for them.

Hytham was a proper villain with class with goal and purpose in mind, only if he showed Connor what Shay Cormac saw, Connor would've joined him but still Hytham was way too evil with his ways and in later series I think series gets a little bit contradicting since if creed of assassin's was really trying to destroy humanity why would sacrifice of Desmond miles save the whole earh? I think it's just some assasin's like Shay's friend who were idiots who didn't know the systems whole power and without studying anything about these artifacts like Apple itself they indirectly caused accidents but that didn't mean whole creed was bad referring to the whole earthquake thing.

Not played it in many years now, but I swear I recall Bayek's fate was given to us at some point in the Ezio timeline. I remember one of the games (AC2?) had statues of notable assassins and some information about their life and death. Maybe Im mis-remembering the details though, maybe it didnt give that information on him, but I def recall those statues beneath a house/HQ in one of the Ezio games.

They made one of the statues turn out to be Bayek's wife Aya (Amunet), but Bayek himself was not one of them.

Every death is bittersweet somehow, as you dive with every character and play their stories… I’ve played all of them, met AC franchise through Altaïr and Ezio they’re my fav but Kassandra from AC Odyssey her live/death was the most sad, centuries leaving loves ones behind, force to hide in the shadows, meeting people again for what? to leave them behind because of her great burden… In the Arc of Isle of Skye, AC Valhalla you can see how much of a burden Kassandra is carrying… sh*t my eyes.

In one side I guess that hunted Shay was necesary in the other Shay should have been still hunting them.
However, Shay wasn't evil and Connor was better dying old.
Im wondering how Code Hexe may get involved in all of this and if the Ankh did resurrected that, well... Him. Which when keeping in mind the power of the Hermes' staff it now is not a nonsense.

@@Prof.zoom007 Well, it can't be the Roman Holy Empire since it's supposed to be set in the Century XVI where Spain was the giant Empire then. Their conquerors, the incans and the Aztecs can fit there as well, also the colonies. (Maybe as dlc)
If they don't use this location, it would be a lost chance.
Anyway it was mentioned that the ' brothers of the Cross' were hunting witches in Germany and keeping a resurrection relic with them.

So, we know avaline's mother was a slave, and avaline fought for freedom. So the only other thing we know about was the DLC that was with avaline and Connor. There's an old rumor that after the events of AC 3 avaline and Connor actually had their daughter. But there's no actual information on what actually happened to avaline, or if the rumors were true that avaline had Connors daughter. There was also a rumor that it was Arno and Connor who hunted down and killed shay. Unity and AC 3 are in the very close years between the french and american revolutionary wars. The letter you get from Achilles after he passes way actually explains this. I think it was suppost to be a DLC. In unity's helix rift missions. You were only ever able to play that one. There was one with Connor, "Washington and the wolf" unless that was a story that was not present in AC3.

    When you realized...
Kassandra probably slept with several men in her lifetime which is why some of the protagonists even have eagle vision.
Living 2000+ years could get lonely for her...
There's no evidence to suggest that she did...
But considering how she has lots of chances she can romance other characters, it isn't out of the question.
Edit: to add to this theory is Subject 16, or Clay Kaczmarek, one of Ezio's descendants. His ancestor is possibly the result of Ezio's womanizing, via an illegitimate child.
