A Justice League game would've been way more fun. This is the problem with WB seeing Suicide Squad get popular in 2016 and pushing for this concept. Times change a lot in 8 years of development.
@@Omar-Asim Suicide Squad didn't do well critically but it made a ton of money back in 2016. WB were putting them in everything testing out their popularity for a few years prior. Arrow, the Assault on Arkham movie (which this game ignores) etc. They were pushing the Squad and Harley as their big name characters for a while. That's in large part why I think they gave this project from WB Montreal to Rocksteady. WB Montreal couldn't get it to work and it doesn't look like Rocksteady have had much more success.
Or teen titans games theu did Batman dirty also this team awkwardly built they have no main power hitters only 3 specialist an 1 mid thanker for team set up in storiesu want minimum 1 power hitter a mid tank or else the teams too weak for situations
I think the most insulting part of this is not just how Batman dies. It's the fact that everything we have experienced as players (Origins, Asylum, City and Knight), the only way to stop Batman was a bunch of bullets and his boss fight is just a reskin of Ra's al Ghul fight from Arkham City and never taking advantage from his utility belt.

With nightmare Batman boss fight, all he does is stand there and take all the bullets and not dodge them or anything. That just would not happen. Imagine the media's and feminists reactions if Wonder Woman was humiliated, stripped to her underwear, executed and then her corpse pissed on.
She was the only one who wasn't controlled by Brainiac so she obviously didn't have to be ridiculously killed by the SS so... yeah? Harley couldn't show more respect to Batman for setting her free from the Joker, and believing in her that she can still be a good person. Could’ve made this a Crime Syndicate or even a Justice Lords (to harken back to the Arkhamverse having its roots in DCAU with Paul Dini) thing instead of the JL of the Arkhamverse, kinda like what Lego did for DC Super Villains, but alas.
WB has a problem if they wanted to make us believe that a Batman that defeated Lady Shiva, Deathstroke, "fake Deadshot" (which we all know he never was meant to be a faker, but decisions were made to resemble more the 2016 movie), an intelligent Bane, Killer Croc, Copperhead and Firefly in just one night in his first years; who fought Joker and the League of Assassins so many times; who had to face TITAN-infected people, who has defeated the TYGER guards which were brainwahed and trained by Strange to kill Batman and doubled it by obliterated a whole frigging militia leaded by Jason Todd himself and specifically prepared to be able to fight and eventually kill him while at the same time facing some of the biggest criminals in Gotham; and judging by the introductory cutscene was able to eliminate Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin together; would not only be killed by these members of the Suicide Squad instead of one of the most powerful supers in that immense roster, but also would give the fight this game makes us have. Yeah, he is stablished to use the fear toxin to enhance his fear tactics, no problem with that, but... where are his physical combat skills? And his varied tools? Where is the OP Batman we've been controlling in four games? And what makes this waste of potential worse is that because of being brainwashed by Brainiac, WB had one of the most powerful versions of Batman in all of his media and took out his no killing rule! This had to feel like we're overwhelmed and tense because we would be in such disadvantage! And it's not because i think harder=funnier/better, but c'mon, it's hard to imagine how the Batman legend was alive after Arkham Knight if the only thing he does to fight crime is... that.

But, due to this Deadshot being black to resemble Will Smith's character in the 2016 movie and WB deciding this game is part of the Arkhamverse, they stablished that the Deadshot we faced before wasn't the real Floyd Lawton, but this new version. He wasn't in Origins and City because he was "out of town" and when he returned and discovered that there was a dude impersonating him, he killed him... And not only WB said that in outside sources, but it was referenced in this game (check the Batman museum section this channel has uploaded).
After watching some gameplay and story cutscenes, I feel Batman should have replaced Wonder Woman. In Arkhamverse, Batman seems like the only League member not brainwashed by Brainiac. Like If Batman was the one who sacrificed himself to save the squad from Superman or Wonder Woman, it would be more heroic and more respectful, don't you think?
@@psmgames5861 Yes, it could've been a viable alternative to end Arkhamverse Batman and a nice goodbye to Kevin Conroy. However, I don't think the real main issue (at least for me) is that Brainiac controlled Batman, it could be a sign of how the death of The Joker and the events of Arkham Knight finally broke him (and probably because DC wanted to try something different from the "Batman always saves the day if Justice League went rogue" trope). What disappointed me is: - How little fear toxin is affecting the Squad (heck, we SAW how powerful Scarecrow's gas became in Arkham Knight, and Deadshot just brushes off like nothing by saying "this is all a trick"). - Everyone has the same visions of the Batman statues that was used in the ending of Arkham Knight (which I will admit it was a nice homage, but it was burnt from overusing it) and hearing someone beloved to them instead of showing the actual biggest fears (what the toxin was supposed to do) of each member of the Squad. - That WB used the Scarecrow bossfight from the AK DLCs to model the fight against Batman instead of having the player face the beautiful freeflow combat that was perfected in Arkham Knight and was what made the Arkham games so enjoyable to play. And this becomes more annoying because they were able to make the player face the predator tactics from Batman in the museum section.

Batman's face literally changes in every Arkham game. You can see for yourself. If anything, Bruce's face in this game looks like a more natural version of the Arkham Knight Batman face.

This game should never have been made. It makes absolutely no sense for 4 clowns to take down gods. This game should be considered as a collective dream sequence made by the Black Mercy. A speedster faster than light that could rip out their hearts in a milisecond. An intergalactic cop wielding the most poerful weapon in the universe, limited only by his own creativity. A bilionaire with way too much anger, time and money who's, in essence, a ninja, the most deadly ninja in the world. An alien who, by all means, could easily be worshiped as god, and is just as powerful as a god. Now tell me: how could 4 lunatics, no matter how advanced their tech is, take down a team of gods?

Almost 10 years wait and development to recycle flash as the final boss. Very likely that all the DLC Braniac bosses are going to recycle the JL fights.

As a fan of Rocksteady's Arkham Universe, what they did to Batman is unforgivable. If the developers were gonna do this to Batman they should've made this game set in it's own universe not connected to the Arkham Universe. This game is using the multiverse concept for its live service there could've been a cool cameo in future seasons where the squad runs into Arkham Batman.
This game would have been a lot better if it hadn't actually been the Justice League - imagine if the twist of this game, maybe a third of the way through, was that the League hadn't actually been corrupted or turned evil, but instead had been surreptitiously replaced by the Crime Syndicate from Earth 3, having teamed up with Brainiac to conquer new worlds. That way, they could have done all these boss battles and squad moments, but without arbitrarily killing off the actual Justice League for shock value.
Kinda like in the forever evil comic storyline. The crime syndicate there took out the jl and every other hero and the villains with some help from batman had to save the day.

Well I once read a fan theory that said that the entire arkham verse was never real, that bruce was a patient at arkham asylum after his parent's death and that the arkham verse was only in his head so my head canon for this is that at this point bruce recovered from the trauma and was sent out of arkham in other words the death of the batman character means that he overcame this trauma (and also since he isn't batman without the trauma that makes sense)
If there was one thing this game did great was the squad. They sound like the group of bickering baddies I love. They have a lot of chemistry with eachother that is a highlight amongst the *other stuff* (This also the first time I've seen Arkham vids ever take damage)

Absolutely love Debra Wilson, especially as Cere Junda, but I feel like she's not a right fit for Amanda Waller. Isn't the whole point that she's a plus-sized, black woman who under many circumstances would be marginalised, but is one of the most ominous characters with immense political power in the DC universe? If she was just voicing her I wouldn't complain but they modeled the character after her.

I hope they develop a game where you play as Azrael from the Arkham games and it’s super dark and gritty. Like it could start right as he gets into the Order and when he leaves Gotham to fight the order for “what they did” to him.

She was the only one who wasn't controlled by Brainiac so she obviously didn't have to be ridiculously killed by the SS so... yeah? I don't like this game as much as the next guy, but I don't see why this bother people so much. There's also no sense in Superman killing her with a laser beam after being completely infected by kryptonite, why don't you comment on that instead of reinforcing how male gamers can't stand a woman saving the day?

WB has a problem if they wanted to make us believe that a Batman that defeated Lady Shiva, Deathstroke, "fake Deadshot" (which we all know he never was meant to be a faker, but decisions were made to resemble more the 2016 movie), an intelligent Bane, Killer Croc, Copperhead and Firefly in just one night in his first years; who fought Joker and the League of Assassins so many times; who had to face TITAN-infected people, who has defeated the TYGER guards which were brainwahed and trained by Strange to kill Batman and doubled it by obliterated a whole frigging militia leaded by Jason Todd himself and specifically prepared to be able to fight and eventually kill him while at the same time facing some of the biggest criminals in Gotham; and judging by the introductory cutscene was able to eliminate Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin together; would not only be killed by these members of the Suicide Squad instead of one of the most powerful supers in that immense roster, but also would give the fight this game makes us have. Yeah, he is stablished to use the fear toxin to enhance his fear tactics, no problem with that, but... where are his physical combat skills? And his varied tools? Where is the OP Batman we've been controlling in four games? And what makes this waste of potential worse is that because of being brainwashed by Brainiac, WB had one of the most powerful versions of Batman in all of his media and took out his no killing rule! This had to feel like we're overwhelmed and tense because we would be in such disadvantage! And it's not because i think harder=funnier/better, but c'mon, it's hard to imagine how the Batman legend was alive after Arkham Knight if the only thing he does to fight crime is... that.

But, due to this Deadshot being black to resemble Will Smith's character in the 2016 movie and WB deciding this game is part of the Arkhamverse, they stablished that the Deadshot we faced before wasn't the real Floyd Lawton, but this new version. He wasn't in Origins and City because he was "out of town" and when he returned and discovered that there was a dude impersonating him, he killed him... And not only WB said that in outside sources, but it was referenced in this game (check the Batman museum section this channel has uploaded).
After watching some gameplay and story cutscenes, I feel Batman should have replaced Wonder Woman. In Arkhamverse, Batman seems like the only League member not brainwashed by Brainiac. Like If Batman was the one who sacrificed himself to save the squad from Superman or Wonder Woman, it would be more heroic and more respectful, don't you think?
@@psmgames5861 Yes, it could've been a viable alternative to end Arkhamverse Batman and a nice goodbye to Kevin Conroy. However, I don't think the real main issue (at least for me) is that Brainiac controlled Batman, it could be a sign of how the death of The Joker and the events of Arkham Knight finally broke him (and probably because DC wanted to try something different from the "Batman always saves the day if Justice League went rogue" trope). What disappointed me is:
- How little fear toxin is affecting the Squad (heck, we SAW how powerful Scarecrow's gas became in Arkham Knight, and Deadshot just brushes off like nothing by saying "this is all a trick").
- Everyone has the same visions of the Batman statues that was used in the ending of Arkham Knight (which I will admit it was a nice homage, but it was burnt from overusing it) and hearing someone beloved to them instead of showing the actual biggest fears (what the toxin was supposed to do) of each member of the Squad.
- That WB used the Scarecrow bossfight from the AK DLCs to model the fight against Batman instead of having the player face the beautiful freeflow combat that was perfected in Arkham Knight and was what made the Arkham games so enjoyable to play. And this becomes more annoying because they were able to make the player face the predator tactics from Batman in the museum section.

Theres so much they should have done with Batman but at the least they could have put another line after he gets shot. Something apologizing to the bat family or gotham would be my pick but literally anything else would have been better
As a fan of Rocksteady's Arkham Universe, what they did to Batman is unforgivable. If the developers were gonna do this to Batman they should've made this game set in it's own universe not connected to the Arkham Universe. This game is using the multiverse concept for its live service there could've been a cool cameo in future seasons where the squad runs into Arkham Batman.
This game would have been a lot better if it hadn't actually been the Justice League - imagine if the twist of this game, maybe a third of the way through, was that the League hadn't actually been corrupted or turned evil, but instead had been surreptitiously replaced by the Crime Syndicate from Earth 3, having teamed up with Brainiac to conquer new worlds.
That way, they could have done all these boss battles and squad moments, but without arbitrarily killing off the actual Justice League for shock value.
Kinda like in the forever evil comic storyline. The crime syndicate there took out the jl and every other hero and the villains with some help from batman had to save the day.

Well I once read a fan theory that said that the entire arkham verse was never real, that bruce was a patient at arkham asylum after his parent's death and that the arkham verse was only in his head so my head canon for this is that at this point bruce recovered from the trauma and was sent out of arkham in other words the death of the batman character means that he overcame this trauma (and also since he isn't batman without the trauma that makes sense)
If there was one thing this game did great was the squad. They sound like the group of bickering baddies I love. They have a lot of chemistry with eachother that is a highlight amongst the *other stuff*
