LOL thats great. I have a pushrod 4.0 and a manual trans. Its fun as far as stock rangers go, just exhaust, intake , a/c delete ,Taurus Efan conversion. It recently pissed of a 300c
Buy an old Miata and wedge that sucker in there! Just kidding but you know it would surprise a lot of people ahahahaha!!! You'd have to upgrade the tires of course, and maybe the drive train.
I used to own a 66 Ford Mustang Coupe back in High school. If I was to do it again I would use the New 5.0L Coyote engine along with the New ford 6R80 6-sp Auto trans with a custom paddle shift setup! Along with the IRS and a complete Interior from a wrecked 2015+ Interior!...God Bless!
So, the 2.3 liter in my s550 ecoboost just exploded not even 24 hrs ago. I want to swap it and go with this. Are there any known issues with installation?
new hood, k member, pcm, wire harness, change brake booster, tranny, rear end, brakes, exhaust, subframe connectors, coil overs and other unmentioned things. i bought a 2002gt and a 2000 lincoln navigator motor in good running condition. going to look for coyote intake for $500 or so that will probably bring it up to maybe 435 HP. only the dyno will tell. rear end needs a rebuild. it has 4.11's. a T6 tranny later if the price is right and the intech ever has a rebuild. but for now the 3650 with short throw is alright. i gave a friend my v6. he picked up a rusty new edge GT that runs well to swap in for a daily driver. its going to be a guinea pig for a first time install of a targa top. lots of work doing that swap. but its fun at least.
I'm a import *Nissan* guy but I have to give the coyote props. it's on the right track dohc is they way to go but they should have went with variable cam lift not just variable timing who wouldn't want bigger cams up top and smaller ones down low for more response and better mpg emissions. high revving broad power-band even add right size turbo. I can't wait to see how these v8s will be in 10 years or less hopefully.
Nah...upwards of 625. The 6.2 Sohc can make 540 HP with different can profiles. It also can spin up to 7800 with stock valve train. The shaft mounted rocker arms coupled with the sohc is capable of 9k Rpm. Lol, that's literally what Ford test them to, endurance wise.
if i recall the driver's side exhaust manifold has the cat integrated into it, perhap's why they don't show the drivers side of the motor, you might mention that lol
they need to make one worth buying, stroked and more bulletproof . Forged Pistons, billet oil pump and crank gear and forged rods, none of that powdered junk .02 .
I have an old school 5.0 steel top to bottom with ohv and 4 barrel carb putting out 480. I was hoping by now they would be over 500hp before any add ons
I own a 1993 fd Mazda rx7. This video has given me some ideas however is this engine capable of higher rpms (9000+)? I like the idea of using this engine, looks like there's alot of potential but wondering about the higher rpm because I would prefer to have it naturally aspirated.
I have a 2001 Ford Ranger Edge, would it be possible to put this engine in my truck. not looking at numbers just l wanna see if it would fit and would I have to do any modifications to my truck?
Does anybody know if you can swap out the suspension on the current mustang (2015+) to the 2014 body, to add the Independent Rear Suspension? That would be awesome if possible!
it can be done but its not cheap...generally its more effective to put the same amount of money into your current setup. you could get coil overs, rims and grippy tires for the front and rear, slotted rotors and some good brake pads and if you like the quarter mile at all the solid rear is way better...independent is only better in rough stuff like going over railroad tracks. which i slow down for anyway
Welcome to the 'which oil should I use in my Coyote' rabbit hole- its very deep...lol. My personal feelings are this- different driving styles and different climates require different oils. Check out some forums or other reputable sites for some insight. -Justin
All of the work? Kidding... It can be done but its not going to be cheap. Obviously you need the engine/trans in addition to a control pack/ecu. You're also going to need exhaust work including coyote swap headers and a Coyote swap oil pan to fit the stock 96-04 cross-member in addition to a bunch of other smaller stuff to get the car up and running. There is a bunch of info on this topic online so grab a snack and read up! -Justin
I hear ya, is there any of other swap recommend that could be done for about 6-7k besides just putting another 4.6L 2v in it? Not looking for a lot power obviously with the budget, but looking for any power gains I can make in this rebuilding time.
Ryan Fiore Yes the F150 has factory forged rods and crank but cast aluminum pistons just like the Mustang. The F150 5.0 has different cams, and a lower compression of 10.5 and a milder tune. Which equates to 360hp 385tq. With a SCT 93 tune and intake or air filter you can bump that up to 400hp. With stock Mustang cams and same compression of the Mustang you can be at 435hp 400tq.
dallatorretdu I own a 98 mustang GT and I have to admit the LS is cheaper and you could get more HP out of it. Oh I forgot , would I put an LS in my Mustang fuck no Ford stays Ford and GM stay GM you just don't do that
Yes you could swap a 15+ engine into your early s197 but its recommended that you pick up the control pack for the newer 5.0, otherwise you'll need to make some modifications to the engine if you pick up a 11-14 coyote pcm. -Justin
I thought that an engine was internal combustion and a motor was electrically driven etc. A lot of people call engines, motors..... so what's the deal? Depending on what language I speak, I used motor or engine... but I've been wondering for a while.
I want my mechanic to put this engine in instead of another 3.7 liter V6 in my 2012 mustang V6 since I threw a rod and need a new engine. Why not go ahead and get the V8 right?
That's so sick man! Coyote Swap New Edge's are so sick! Have you taken it to the track yet? 400 RWHP in a body of that weight should be deep in the 11's! - Will
Including some sex? LMFAOL! At 5:10. Specs. Lol! Thats the cheeseast promotion of an engine I ever seen! Although, I think is one of the best engines around...!
Im 18 and have pulled the 302 out of my fox in 1.5 hours lol. Granted it doesn't have as many electrical connections/sensors; just though 48 hours is abit exaggerated and made me laugh! Ali From IRAQ
With proper tools and know how, you could pull the old engine and swap in the new one in probably about 24 hours of labor. So about 3 work days. But if you're a flat rate Ford tech who does warranty work all day, you could probably do it in a full day or 2
so this video was put up because LS Motors is in everything and for coyote motor cost too much I can go and get a LS motor right out the junkyard for $600 put a turbo on it and have over 600 horses
Ooo baby... I am legitametly debating whether to get a rundown E39 540i and just swapping one of these babies in! My dreams wil come true in the next 5years!! :) unless the laws get abit to tight with their BS around here... :'(
You hit the nail on the head with your last statement- this is a 'stock' engine/ OE replacement from Ford (not an Aluminator), therefore Forged pistons would be overkill for 95% of owners out there who never plan on testing the limits of the hypereutectic pistons. THAT BEING SAID- I've seen more than my fair of stock Gen 2's handle 800, 900 and even 1000HP to the tire which I say is pretty darn good for a 'stalk' engine. ;) -Justin
$7,000?!??!? Ok lol 😆 I saved quite a bit of cash then hahah I got a used one from 2014 gt with 60k miles on it for $3,000 I think I did good engine was super healthy and stock I got a hell of a deal
I find that the 5.0 coyote runs the best when you fill the tank with LS owner tears.
The problem is a Coyote owner would have to pay a "tuner" to fill the tank for him.
More like, when it eats people on sidewalks after leaving a cars and coffe on my mustang
Epic
Unfortunately these mustangs have shitty Chinese manual transmissions.
unknown name Lololol agreed.
I should put this in my Ranger.
Ditto. ^ I have a 93 supercab 2WD
LOL thats great. I have a pushrod 4.0 and a manual trans. Its fun as far as stock rangers go, just exhaust, intake , a/c delete ,Taurus Efan conversion. It recently pissed of a 300c
D Hill but for real has anyone done this yet? I was thinking about swapping a used 2011 and up 5.0 into my ranger
Please add a video if you do lol
Only 2 yr 24,000 mi????
Should be at minimum 5 year 50,000 mi warranty!!!!!
I would love to put this in my Foxbody, but I'm only spending the money if Stephanie is coming with it to help me install it👍
Hell I want this in my foxbody so I'm not sure how that would work out for us. I would probably just steal it for myself :) - Stephanie
cool reply... now days every one gets bent out of shape so its good you seen the funny side of it
AmericanMuscle.com how about split custody? I'll get it on the weekends.. 😎
Buy an old Miata and wedge that sucker in there! Just kidding but you know it would surprise a lot of people ahahahaha!!! You'd have to upgrade the tires of course, and maybe the drive train.
BTW it's not a motor. it's an Engine.
How about a GT350 crate engine
can Stephanie help me swap the motor on my mustang. please
I used to own a 66 Ford Mustang Coupe back in High school. If I was to do it again I would use the New 5.0L Coyote engine along with the New ford 6R80 6-sp Auto trans with a custom paddle shift setup! Along with the IRS and a complete Interior from a wrecked 2015+ Interior!...God Bless!

can I swap my 2.3 for the 5.0?
Yes you can 👍
Yo I made my eco boost look so mean even got 305 in back and 275 in front definitely thinking about swapping motor after my road trip
whew! I wonder how much work, needed material and money for install in my New Edge V6. The swap is gonna happen regardless.
Wow, sounds awesome! Let us know when the swap is done, we'd love to see! -Elaina

If Ford made a 6.2 liter Coyote. The engine would make 540 hp and 498 pot
Nah...upwards of 625. The 6.2 Sohc can make 540 HP with different can profiles. It also can spin up to 7800 with stock valve train. The shaft mounted rocker arms coupled with the sohc is capable of 9k Rpm. Lol, that's literally what Ford test them to, endurance wise.

you guys need to take over the IG more often, that was entertaining.
Haha glad you liked it! - Stephanie
The thing looks as big as a Hemi!Lookin to get a used Gt and stuff this in it!
they need to make one worth buying, stroked and more bulletproof . Forged Pistons, billet oil pump and crank gear and forged rods, none of that powdered junk .02 .
Sounds like you then want the Aluminator referred to in the video: www.americanmuscle.com/frpp-50-aluminator-xs-engine.html.
excelerater if you want a performance engine and better price, go with MMR. I have their entry level motor in my GT, great price and good power.
MMR would be one of my choices ,no doubt.
They do. Aluminator
I have an old school 5.0 steel top to bottom with ohv and 4 barrel carb putting out 480. I was hoping by now they would be over 500hp before any add ons

does it have the flat plane crank from the Shelby series voodoo engine?
I have a 2001 Ford Ranger Edge, would it be possible to put this engine in my truck. not looking at numbers just l wanna see if it would fit and would I have to do any modifications to my truck?
Can the crate be made smog legal?
Disappointed to hear it doesn't have forged pistons!! As I just got a 17 GT
Can I put this in an ecoboost mustang?
I want one for my 04 gt. Do these mate to the stock transmission?
Can you guys please sponsor me one of these for an extended long term review, please! I need one for my 97 Mustang Cobra!
I know very little about cars, how difficult would it be to upgrade a 2017 v6? Can the v6 transmission handle that?
Does anybody know if you can swap out the suspension on the current mustang (2015+) to the 2014 body, to add the Independent Rear Suspension? That would be awesome if possible!

need one for my new edge
How much HP is the standard 2017 mustang crank good for??
This really would make a REALLY good piece for a project car. Either a restomodded '69 Fastback or a '05-'10 GT swap.
Whats price for that crate engine like that??
Will this motor fit in a ford explorer 2004 limited model
Anything will fit with enough time and money. ;) -Justin
price
What is a crate motor exactly?
I have a 2011 5.0 GT what would I need to be able to put this engine in my car and make it run and drivable
Will this fit in a 07 F-150 FX-4??
My friend is putting this in my 2013 GT. Is it better to use 5W-20 or 5W-50?
Welcome to the 'which oil should I use in my Coyote' rabbit hole- its very deep...lol. My personal feelings are this- different driving styles and different climates require different oils. Check out some forums or other reputable sites for some insight. -Justin
Can this work on a 2001 Ford Explorer
Would it fit a 1998 f150
Would be cool to see someone drop this in a CVPI!
could this fit on a 2008 f150?
I'm gonna put this in my exoboost
Exoboost ay? Cod?
Nate Diaz. No you're not.
More and more plastic = more and more problems...
Nice presentation Stephanie 👍
Could I swap this motor in 2012 5.0?
Are we to early? And this would be great for 98 F-150
And it has vtec? Nice
Does it come with a transmission or is that extra
This is just the crate engine, you would need to purchase a transmission as well. Thanks for watching! -Zach
How much additional work is necessary to drop this into a 2000 GT from the stock 4.6 2v?
All of the work? Kidding... It can be done but its not going to be cheap. Obviously you need the engine/trans in addition to a control pack/ecu. You're also going to need exhaust work including coyote swap headers and a Coyote swap oil pan to fit the stock 96-04 cross-member in addition to a bunch of other smaller stuff to get the car up and running. with DOHC clearance might be an issue... it's very large
Anyone know how hard it would be to put this in a 97 Town car? on a 1-10 scale? 10 being hardest
Does the f150 5.0 come with forged internals too??
Ryan Fiore Yes the F150 has factory forged rods and crank but cast aluminum pistons just like the Mustang. The F150 5.0 has different cams, and a lower compression of 10.5 and a milder tune. Which equates to 360hp 385tq. With a SCT 93 tune and intake or air filter you can bump that up to 400hp. With stock Mustang cams and same compression of the Mustang you can be at 435hp 400tq.
Good to hear. I own one hope to get a lot of miles out of it.
You will, Ive already seen and worked on a 2011 with 210,000 all original miles. Ran like new and engine bay was clean of any oil leaks.
Thats awesome. Thanks JIMBO SLICE
cant wait to drop this in my foxbody 💪
THER IS NOTHING MORE COOL THAN FOXBODY WIHTH THAT ENGINE - MEABY NOT A SLEEPER,BUT A HELL OF A SUPRISE
sMaShbOi I'm sure you know more than I do so I own a 02 mustang gt do you think this will fit in it?
VentusGaming04 of course bro itll fit
did you get it to fit?
Why this over a cheaper LS?
dallatorretdu I own a 98 mustang GT and I have to admit the LS is cheaper and you could get more HP out of it. Oh I forgot , would I put an LS in my Mustang fuck no Ford stays Ford and GM stay GM you just don't do that
Cause Chevy Sucks! Yes they are Cheap! Exactly! Cheap Shit!
Could I install this on my eco boost? Coyote swap
Same question?
Would that 2015-17 5.0 engine and transmission fit my 05 mustang gt S197??????
Yes you could swap a 15+ engine into your early s197 but its recommended that you pick up the control pack for the newer 5.0, otherwise you'll need to make some modifications to the engine if you pick up a 11-14 coyote pcm. -Justin
probably would the gt 500 has a 5.4
I thought that an engine was internal combustion and a motor was electrically driven etc. A lot of people call engines, motors..... so what's the deal?
Depending on what language I speak, I used motor or engine... but I've been wondering for a while.
See engineering.mit.edu/ask/what%E2%80%99s-difference-between-motor-and-engine. The terms have become interchangeable.
11-14 better motor without question
what's better about it?
2 years & 24,000 miles isn’t exactly peace of mind.
Where is the engine number located? I need your help guys. Tnx
can you put this in a v6 mustang?
Why wouldn't you be able to? You might need different motor mounts or small odds and ends.
Does it fit inside a 2011 Ford Focus ?XD
Anything fits with enough cutting and determination.😉 -Zach
I'm sure it would make a great powerboat engine.
i should put this in my Lada 2107
that's is in my "14" F150, halls a 12'X6' dump trailer full of rocks! no problem :)
Thinner wall? Dammit gota sleeves
I want my mechanic to put this engine in instead of another 3.7 liter V6 in my 2012 mustang V6 since I threw a rod and need a new engine. Why not go ahead and get the V8 right?
put this in my 2000 gt, 400whp with basic bolt ons (cai and exhaust) next step is a procharger ;)
What, no videos of it?
Eric Bachmann been working on putting some up, don't have too many at the moment. They're coming!
That's so sick man! Coyote Swap New Edge's are so sick! Have you taken it to the track yet? 400 RWHP in a body of that weight should be deep in the 11's! - Will
I think you replied to the wrong person lol.
The edge comment is below this.
Clutch "New Edge" it's the body design after the sn95. The 99-04 one's.
If I had the money I would buy the engine and the girl!
Including some sex? LMFAOL! At 5:10. Specs. Lol! Thats the cheeseast promotion of an engine I ever seen!
Although, I think is one of the best engines around...!
Love at first sight...
I creamed my joggers just looking at this engine...what a beauti!
A motor runs on electricity, this is a engine.
need it in my 67
lmao at the 48 hour install time.
B3AR CSGO well, it's a full engine swap and that ET is for normal mechanics. Professionals can do it faster
B3AR CSGO yea it doesn't take long the shop replaced my stang engine in a work day
how many man-hours does it take to complete
Im 18 and have pulled the 302 out of my fox in 1.5 hours lol. Granted it doesn't have as many electrical connections/sensors; just though 48 hours is abit exaggerated and made me laugh!
Ali From IRAQ

Ima put that on irocz
Ima shove this in a BRZ/FR-S/GT86
so this video was put up because LS Motors is in everything and for coyote motor cost too much I can go and get a LS motor right out the junkyard for $600 put a turbo on it and have over 600 horses
Parnell Payne No. No you can't lol...
Parnell Payne is that where GM stores their engines!!! I guess it saves them time/money because that's where the wind up anyway!!!
Donald Erdbrink haha
Nice
Wow you can replace engines????????
Should have let me welded those manifolds haha
It's fucking huge
Ooo baby... I am legitametly debating whether to get a rundown E39 540i and just swapping one of these babies in! My dreams wil come true in the next 5years!! :) unless the laws get abit to tight with their BS around here... :'(
MatthiasAI California?
Rather have a W12 😎
Merci 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Should have forged pistons to.
Sucks that it dont!!!!
Needs to hv forged pistons and rods.
This is the only problem with the stalk 5.0 v8 engine.
You hit the nail on the head with your last statement- this is a 'stock' engine/ OE replacement from Ford (not an Aluminator), therefore Forged pistons would be overkill for 95% of owners out there who never plan on testing the limits of the hypereutectic pistons. THAT BEING SAID- I've seen more than my fair of stock Gen 2's handle 800, 900 and even 1000HP to the tire which I say is pretty darn good for a 'stalk' engine. ;) -Justin
I heard the stock 5.0 will eventually blow a rod if u punch it to 600hp and beyond.
So this isnt the one that comes stock in the GTs? Lol
Can we see some more tattoos?
no they are ugly
Ok ok nice motor but
What's the damage to my wallet
To bad the Australian ford Barra would smoke it
Stephanie, it's an engine not a motor
I like her bug eyed Subaru Tattoo.
lady it's an engine. Js. we aren't winding electric motors
I should put this in my ecoboost mustang 😂
$7,000?!??!? Ok lol 😆 I saved quite a bit of cash then hahah I got a used one from 2014 gt with 60k miles on it for $3,000 I think I did good engine was super healthy and stock I got a hell of a deal
Stephanie is stout and smart
A full 3 out of 3 wrenches people
I wanna stuff this thing into a '40 Ford pickup - street rod style! Naah. I'd be better off with a well built 289/302 and a grumpy/bumpy cam! 🤣🤣🤣
No pocket knife!
Does it come with the girl? :-P
