Because it wasn't famous... But to me, this car was a piece of what modern day cars are about. And that's why this car should be the forefather of modern cars like the R8...
@@claudedottin1312 you are talking about the green Eclipse probably... However, just before the 1st race in FnF, an asian dude plays Gran Turismo, i believe the car he's driving in game is a 3000GT/GTO.
Well now that every single automotive RUclipsr is all "The 3000GT is forgotten and a great bargain" everyone who has one for sale just added five grand to the price.
I've had my 1997 3000gt SL five speed for six years. I drive it to and from work a couple days a week. Always turns heads and gets red light thumbs ups.
You are on drugs. It was the fastest car sold at one point. It had the most sophisticated features out there. It handled like a beast for a heavy car. I loved my VR-4 and wish I still had it. I believe this BS was AI generated.
The 3000GT was a sales success. The VR4 was much lower volume. Nobody in the U.S. cared about the R34 until Gran Tourismo and 2Fast2Furious because they never saw one or knew anybody who had one. Meanwhile your neighbor had a 300ZX. Your teacher had an RX7. Your uncle had a Trans Am or IROCZ. Your friends mom had a Supra, and so on and so forth. I would much rather have any of the cars from my teenage years mentioned above than any Skyline.
A female Mexican radio DJ abandoned one of these in a garage LA back in 2003😂 electrical problems basically bricked the car, we stored garbage in the car. It was beautiful to look at but damn we did that car dirty.
The 3000GT wasn't a DSM. The DSM was a plant in Illinois for the Eclipse, Laser, and Talon. Technically the last year of the DSM was 1995 but the 2Gs are all considered DSM due to the model production starting before DSM was defunct. The Sebring is more DSM than the 3S platform.
Just letting the usa boys know... the 1st gen GTO NA, came with 4wd and 4ws. Sorry, just a jdm thing, aaand its a dohc engine. Thats where the 255bhp came from.
Who said it was a failure? They sold more than nsx, 300zx, rx7, and supra combined.
Absolutely right, not a failure at all!

Answer: it wasn't in fast and furious
Technically it was. And Brian drove it.
@@claudedottin1312 wasn't it in a deleted scene or something?
@@tristanramsell8962 it was in some theaters and on dvd. Turbocharged Prelude. Before Brian got his Skyline

I still have my 95 vr4. When I couldn’t get it running I thought about parting it out, Glad I didn’t!
Only in the minds of the sheep who all saw fast and furious. I had a supra now one of these and I love this car.

The real answer is they never went cheap enough to get popular.
3000GT 😁 VR4LIFE 😍 VR4EVER 😎
Replace a 4-cylinder engine for daily use..sporty look that can be use for office and touring...
Mitsus 4 cyls are just as unreliable. A Honda swap would be a better alternative, and someone has already done it with a big tubo
The stealth was not a dsm. It was a captive import. All dsm cars were made in illinois. These were not.
Nor was it one of the first DSMs if it was lol... did AI write this?

Still one of the best
sorry but isnt there only a SOHC 164hp and DOHC 225hp along with the RT turbo 320? @3:15 says 255?
The 164hp engine was only in the base Stealth. The 3000GT started with the 220hp V6 in the base and SL models
If memory serves I believe mitsu advertised the NA V6 as having 222hp. At least for the 1st gens.

to complex and to heavy not alot of aftermarket growth potential.
Hey man >:(
These cars are lame, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
