    Usually U Tubers only show their successful repairs which they figured out themselves. This time it was all different - I can really feel what it's like to scratch one's head over a super complicated issue. Good you have such a faithful and gifted friend you could call !!!! Carry on with the good videos.

    You might have just saved me fron a misdiagnosis. I was called to a body shop to diagnose a no com for the abs on a 2015 chevy tahoe. Everything looked good power, grounds and com lines. I called the module being bad 2 hrs ago. When I was looking up the abs diagram I couldn't find a wake up signal or a key on voltage. So I seen that enable com line wire and couldn't figure out what it was for. After Googleing "abs chevy no com, abs wake up" your video popped up. Thankfully there's awesome people like you to post gems like this. I could of hurt my reputation if I made the wrong call plus I would of been out a few bucks (my reputation is very important). I'll let you know tomorrow if it was that enable wire. I have a strong feeling it is because everything looked good.

    I think that's my problem after spending hundreds if dollars at various shops with no communication to EBCM which needed to be replaced. Now the new one needs to be programmed to suit my vehicle. After spending time at the GM dealership the Tech cannot communicate with the EBCM to do any programming. So that was a waste of my money for parts (new module that needs programming) and labour.
    Now testing the blue wire on the third connection of Pcm I get no voltage with key on. Where would I go from here?

    What does it mean when you get a U0121 DTC every now and then in a car without ABS? There's no ABS module to communicate with! Logically you'd think the PCM would either set this code every time I turn the key on or, ideally, not at all, because it shouldn't be trying to communicate with a module that isn't there! Something must be triggering the PCM to look for an ABS module, but only on extremely rare occasions, but what would do that, and is there any way to fix it? It's really annoying when it does this, because I don't know why the engine light is on and have to take it seriously until I can get out my scan tool and check the code.

  • @morrisachtemichuk5135
    @morrisachtemichuk5135 2 года назад

    Well I do have battery voltage at the blue wire on the blue BCM connection. Also tested the light blue wire at the EBCM connection harness grounding it to frame bolt and got the same battery voltage, so this wire is okay. But when grounded to heavy back wire on EBCM harness the meter showed 5 or 6 volts then settled down to .075 volt on either of the harness large black wires..Then this weird thing happened. Got a high 5 volts on the meter with only one black lead connected to the heavy black wire with red lead not connected to anything it showed a . I will need to try another multimeter when it's not so wet outside. Anyway the EBCM should be enabled with getting battery voltage on the light ble wire known on my schematic as serial data enabled. The two heavy black and red wires are getting full battery voltage when tested across the EBCM harness. I really thought this was used to operate the module, but maybe just the pump with internal connection. But why are there two two sets of each?
    Getting back to enabling the EBCM
