Modern bmw cs cars seem to be what early 2000s m cars used to be. You give the engineers and the driversthe ability to do what they want for the car, and out comes the near perfext cars like this.
It finally clicked for me. I realized that this channel is basically everything I wanted The Straight Pipes to be. I stopped watching them because everything was "Really Good" or "gloss black" bleh. You guys actually describe the driving dynamics and have some technical knowledge about the cars you drive, but you keep it casual in the Extra channel. Your conversations feel less forced and you guys make me laugh a lot. I can get my top gear feeling from the main channel and the layed back friends talking about cars in this channel. You guys really do a stupendous job and it makes me feel bad that I can watch it for free (I always sit through the ads for you guys).
That's why I stick to Throttle House and savagegeese, I used to watch Straight Pipes a lot, but they play it too safe with everything being "really good".
Straight pipes is a no go. They don’t know what they are talking about a lot of the time. Their driving skill and knowledge is lacking. Along with other reasons. I also was just thinking wow TT is so much better than Straight pipes.
I grew up in the 90's dreaming of owning an M5. Today I'm a proud owner of a F10 535i which I got 0KM. Couldn't be happier especially with all the tunes I've done, and it makes me want to work up to M5 even more.
Been a while with Bimmers from the '91 318i E30 M40 then the '97 323i E36 M50 and '03 325i E46 M54 couple with '97 528i E39 M50 and now owning a '15 320i F30 Sport Wrenching 'em all myself except for the heavy works like engine and tranny overhauling, that's for the workshop
Fellow f10 535i owner here also. Trying to get a pure turbo stage 2 and push this baby to 600whp. I’m gonna be faster than an m5 without owning an m5 hopefully lol
@@JadedTea where I live, there's no such things as M Cars here that legally imported I know 5 persons here that have E92 M3 and E46 M3 but you can find several F80 M3 and F82 M4 Been driving 'em all and to be honest the NA engines of the old M3s are better preferably the V10 in the E92 M3 All I can do is just copying the bodykits of those M Cars into my standard Bimmers and upgraded the in car entertainment, no crazy modified engines - all standards and I'm quite happy with the outcome

@@henzo7087 you couldn't of owned any past thier warranty then. I have 3 at moment also. E70 x5m e60 m5 and e46 zhp. All awsome vehicles. Love them but the e46 has the other 2 beat for reliability and my neighbors 20yr old camery has all 3 beat for reliability, by a long shot.

What I found amazing was that after the red eye got traction, the M5cs continued to pull away. That’s a fast car. How about against a corvette and Porsche etc. Looking forward to seeing it
The Redeye didn't get traction... the Redeye holds the 1/4 mile record for fastest gasoline sedan in the world.... it did 10.13s. The Redeye is just not fast on the street it was made for the drag strip only.. it was also beaten by E63s wagon on RWD .
Are you guys able to do tuned cars at all? Or reviews of “most bang for your buck” tunable cars? I’d love to see Thomas drive a tuned car around the track.
They have done tuned cars a few times before, I don't remember which ones though. I think one video was like Ford vs Dodge vs Chevy and they were all tuned but I may be wrong

While the M5 competition was already the super sedan king, this CS model just solidifies that position even more.

This is the most desired m5 ever after the legendary e60 v10, the cs trim is really put out the engineers first before the accounting put the price tag on

I’m a caddy guys so I disagree with looks wise. This is a sexy beast. Thomas is so thoughtful that I get why this is his #1. Our generation will be remembered for the pinnacle of ICE engines.

I have a 2019 M5 (not Comp or CS) and I'm scared to turn off the driver assist--it revs scary high even at low speeds, growling like a bad-tempered Rottweiler trying to shake off the leash.
@@austensmith3330 2010 m6 with 50k miles is selling for $20k in my area. Car looks to be in tip top shape. I'm pretty sure, this will also depreciate as much. Why do you think it won't?
@@Oz1111 that model year M6 is notoriously unreliable and expensive to repair because of the trans and the v10, that’s why it’s so cheap. Owned one and it was a nightmare, sounds great though

It's clear that Thomas favors this way more than the Audi and Benz. The fact that he was so enamored with the drive that he didn't even pay attention to James' question tells you all you need to know about his opinion lol.

After all the reading, and video reviews I've seen for this car - it has to be tops on my list. Performance, looks... everything. The best bimmer in years. I have to agree (without driving it) the best car in the world.
I'd love to have a list of all the differences in the front end between this and an M5 comp. Is it an all new steering rack, or just a tune? - if it's the tuning, why can't we get it lower models?

Modern bmw cs cars seem to be what early 2000s m cars used to be. You give the engineers and the driversthe ability to do what they want for the car, and out comes the near perfext cars like this.

True. Straight Pipes started strong, but it's hard to stand Jakub for more than a couple of minutes these days.

I just got a F10 535xi as a daily, but have had my F10 M5 for 3 years. I'll just say, it's nice having both.

The CS has the dampers of the M8, stiffer engine mounting and also sits lower as far as I know
M8 is 'a fast Buick' in Cammisa's words. Which means same as M5 Comp; overinsulated performance machine. They did something smart to M5 CS. Bravo.
The facelift M5 Competition also has the M8 dampers.
the CS sits 7mm lower than the BASE M5, same dampers in CS and M5C lci..

Rs6 still the most comfortable. E63s is still a riot. The m5cs is the best of all of them. But only the cs. Not the comp
From an AMG fan, M5 CS is the undisputed Super Sedan king. At least until AMG introduces the E73/ AMG GT73.

The backseat camera tells two stories. The carbon seatbacks are beautiful and the big screen tv mounted on the dash is offensive.
