    This CW in 40mm will be my next watch. It just looks class. Forgetting us watch geeks that know how much the CW and the Rolex sell for, if you were to show those two watches side by side to an average everyday person and ask them which watch cost more and or which watch seemed like it was better built, I'm confident the vast majority would pick the CW.

      Agreed!…. Pretty crazy that you can get the quality this Trident is for 1/8 the price of a Sub!!

      Sorry your ill mate, but you allowed the fascist state of Cali to convince you to get a jab,
      I know that you made your choice and are now paying the price.
      I hope you have a good and swift recovery

    Great conversational video, Peter. Both beautiful watches, but it's impossible to not be impressed with the way the CW compares, especially given the price. I would love to own a Sub someday, but really do not see myself spending $9-10K for one. I'm in the $500-2000.00 space and am perfectly happy residing there. I really enjoy your channel.

      Thanks Pete! I agree with the $500 - 2k window, most of mine are in the $900-$1200 range which is why I love Christopher Ward so much. I’m done chasing any more high dollar ones, but I had to get the Sub just so I’d shut up about it!! Lol

    Watching this wearing ny blue C63 Sealander. Totally agree with all your say. I have two Omegas but have been drawn to an Aqua Terra. Visited an AD and was disappointed, the AT felt thick and clunky compared to my C63. I was in a Tudor Boutique this week looking at the new 41mm Vlacj Bay, nicer than the 54/58 I feel but at nearly £4k I didn't think it felt and better than the C63, albeit I know the movement is superior with superior maintenance costs! I think CWs secret is their legibility and clean design. Good video and a nice Sub.

    The assembly, Qc levels ans parts quality is good at CWard for the price but my only problem is the entry level mouvement, Sellita SW200-1, they should charge a bit more or give the option of a better mouvement, then they would have great watch all around… At the present time, it like a beautiful entry level luxury car with a cheap 4 cylinders engine

    • @RSSpec
      @RSSpec  2 месяца назад +1

      The Sellita’s not the worst they could have used but for sure not the best, especially the 38 hour reserve that’s way behind what else is available! Plus side is reliability and service cost and mine run about 5-7 seconds fast a day which is acceptable at this price. But certainly a valid gripe feeling you want a better movement.!

    Hi I own four of Christopher ward and Rolex s and most of the other well known brands but I've got to say when you take everything into account and price is a big one the c60 trident 🔱 is probably the best watch for the money out there (even Rolex though I'm not saying it quality is better) thanks John 👍.

      The Trident is just an amazing watch… regardless of price! To think it’s about 1/8 the $$ of an older Sub is crazy. I’m not exaggerating when I say the CW Trident fits better than my Sub!! And the Sub fits quite well!

    I'm looking for first luxury watch(per my standard) and trident is on top of the list right now. Other contentands are zodiac super seawolf and bulgari diagono vintage, but hard to consider them when I see this value.
    I think we all want to see watch that we can afford and somebody says it's comperable to submariner.

      I also do have a Zodiac Super Seawolf Pro Diver. I love the dial and handset on it but it’s not nearly the quality of the Trident IMO. The Trident fits as well as any watch I own!
