C60 is definitely one of my favorite watches for sure. Not personally into bronze watches though. But then again, I’ve changed my mind about other style of watches so…
I have yet to experience bronze myself and will soon. The fact is, though, that when you have a well finished case like this, rather than a more rugged design, it is the unweathered bronze that really steals the show. It is enlightening to see the patina in formation here as it shows how indeed it starts obscuring that lovely finish and tone. I remain ambivalent if this is something I'd enjoy and therefore I see bronze watches at least by their material nature as something best regarded for slightly more rugged or all-weather wear, because it won't stay neat. I'd love for more brands to consider a stabilised bronze finish in its pristine state. I beleive this is possible and bronze is quite affordable, so it would give one another way of enjoying a watch.
Normally Im not a patina guy, but this one looks lovely. Big CW fan. Love the lightcatcher case. I have their 600M diver and its one of my favorite watches. Super bang for the buck.
It really looks nice but I think the seastar 2000 is still the most beautiful diver. I'm lucky tho I have 8 inch wrist so it looks fine on me it's just to bad tissot dosnt make it smaller for everyone else
G v nice and good pics. I have the C60 300 in stainless steel and at 40mm and it’s a great watch. Unfortunately a lot of their “specials” seem to come out as 42mm only which precludes me from being seriously interested. But these are nice watches and I think the C60 is my favourite in their range - by some way. Hopefully you’ll get a few more if they’re just down the road for you? V best G
I don’t like this model, or any brass cases. I have the CW Atoll 300 in Reef Blue. I absolutely love it, including the trident counter balance 😉! The only other watches I really love (out of the millions of watches out there) are the Shark White version and the Rolex Oyster Perpetual 41mm in either blue or white. Beauty in simplicity ❤
Hey, new fan of the channel! What’s your view of this offering when compared with San Martin and some of the other Ali Express brands you cover? Apart from the movement, do you see the CWs as a noticeable step-up in quality? And how do you feel about the comparative value proposition?
Beautiful watch and I do like Bronze watches (especially with green or blue dials/bezels) but sadly, for me, I'd want a sub 40mm. Definitely going to pick up a CW watch next year but can't' decide which as there are probably about 5-6 I've had my eye on for a while but would want one on a bracelet I think. 🙂
I had a bronze Zelos until I decided the bezel was just too lumed for me (heresy!) but I did like the patina and the fact that this gave a really nice contrast to the non-patina'd hands. This appears much thinner than the Zelos too.
You can use antique wax on these to stop them developing a patina BTW and then clean with bicarb or lemon once every year or 2 if it starts to patina depending on use.... personally i want more than 37hr sellitar movement.
Very nice but Wise make a very similar (LE) model that I might be more tempted by, slightly prefer the design and the Miyota is a nicer-looking movement. Also half the price but obvz warranty claims would be a hassle via Thailand (and they don't speak great english).
Not a fan of the Trident counterbalance and one of the reasons I returned my one CW purchase... came across the invoice recently and was shocked at the price.... £83... though it was 15yrs ago
@@ilikewatches Thanks for the answer. That would have been a deal breaker if the dial markers eventually go green. I'm still not sure if I want to go down this road. Some of the bronze watches with patina I've seen look orange with luster and are stunning. Others I see look horrible in my opinion with that green crud.
I dislike how Christopher Ward only lets you "borrow" the watch for free advertising. At least CW should give you a huge discount on a watch purchase. A worker deserves their wages!
If you genuinely want one, saving $50 a month will allow you to buy it in just 2.16 years. That's not very long to wait and most jobs allow saving that much. If you can't do that then save for 5.4 years and you'll be looking at $20 a month. Most people really can afford these luxury items, it just takes planning and patience. The watch would mean even more to you because of the wait.

I'm liking that we get to see the patina on this video. Cheers.
I love the Trident second hand, it’s like the Cyclops on a Sub, iconic but devicive

I love the Christopher Ward handset, including the trident counterbalance. The lightcatcher case is a brilliant case design...best in stainless steel.
Love the color combination on this watch.

Gorgeous. CW at its best.
Nice colours. Any thoughts on the best homages (if any) to the A Lange & Sohne Datograph? I digress
This piece fits your wrist really well. Looks great.
I think something went awry with the description - the affiliate link and part of the first sentence seem to have gotten lost in the shuffle.

Love this watch for the money! Getting the distressed brown with black bezel version..
I love the new bronce look too, not too much all that patina thing

all I can say is well done Christopher Ward thats a cracking watch
Love the Wards, got one myself. The price has crept into the level I just won't justify spending though which is a shame.

I LOVE this look, but dont like bronze in general. Make it in rose gold DLC and im in

That's a nice looking watch. I am glad CW stopped writing out their name on the dial.

I own the Gen 1, and somehow I don't wear it all that often. It's well made, but I never really got attached to it.
This is why i only have 2 sports watches, both divers.
@@unwokeneuropean3590 I should have taken that advice 15 years ago.
Beautiful looking watch well done to CW 👌

Absolute "hell yeah" for me
How does the bronze stand up to pool and salt water
It’s a gorgeous watch!
Excellent review bro
i like patina on bronze , Nice .
Myeh... I love the original super compressor. Not feeling this enough to buy
I think you forgot to include the link to the watch.
Are the dial hands and indices diamond polished bronze? Will they eventually patina?
They won’t patina, not bronze just bronze coloured

I'm waiting for the July sale.
I have a watch with rose gold color that has faded in some areas. Is there a way to easily restore the shine to the rose gold areas? Thanks!
Love a bronze watch in 2024. 11/10
CW is always impressive
Too much money for me but really the bronze is a no no anyway as the patina would drive me insane
It's lovely
My bronze watch is now a dull brown, like an old penny.
Next step blue / green ?
Beast
Very nice 😊
That looks the business
I think the faded dials look cheap.
Dont let rich people see this they will buy them all and resell them for 200k a piece
YIKES!!! 🫥
Bronze makes watches worthy for real men 😉👍
Arrow on hour hand….nope.
Some how it's not the sum of its parts no thanks
bronze look so sht over time lol
CW has some nice looking watches, however they are lacking in quality control and their customer service is crap.
I dislike how Christopher Ward only lets you "borrow" the watch for free advertising. At least CW should give you a huge discount on a watch purchase. A worker deserves their wages!
Meh, looks like a dress watch with a bezel.
That never hurt the Rolex Submariner
Bronze = poor man's gold
Christopher wards logo is sooo SHIT (looks like a tech company logo) and does NOT match their designs!
One thing for certain. I will definitely never be able to afford a Christopher Ward,no mater how nice they look/are.😢
Get it with monthly payments.
@@r1pperuk This is a very bad idea. Anyone buying a watch with monthly payments has their financial priorities mixed up.
@@r1pperuklol🤡
Scour eBay for a bargain…
I have bought two CW’s on eBay for fantastic bargain prices, both in immaculate condition 👍
