Particularly one of their dive watches! In order to confirm this I got CW to send me 3 Trident 300's to see just how good they are from my last review 2 years ago!

Have the C60 chrono and Trident 300. I'm not a true dive-watch fanatic, but they're both fantastic, modern looking pieces and I'd say real bang-for-buck.
Had the trident 300 MK3. Class watch, and impressed me loads. Had it a couple of years but then was trimming the collection down to add a couple new watches. I had a lorier Gemini with white dial and black bezel. My CW was white dial white bezel. The CW is by far and away the superior watch with depth rating, better movement, ceramic bezel, better case and bracelet etc. But I chose to sell the CW regardless. I never had many chronographs at the time and loads of divers so that swung it.
I received my first CW just last week - a purple Twelve.
I really couldn't be happier with it. Such a comfortable wear and insanely good looking watch for the price. I look forward to adding more CW to the collection in time. That atoll dial you trialled is pure class.
It's a beautiful watch and I love how light and thin it wears.
It is but only buy to make money thats it. They are not nice if they lose half there value
One watches at this price are not for making money two look to see what a used 12 sells for..
So tempted by the bronze one....absolutely stunning, and I love the patinated leather strap.
I rarely like bronze watches - but that is really well done. Wish it were 40…
I love the bronze watchs cw makes but it just don't match my life lol I wish I was an old man that lived by a lighthouse or went yachting 😂
I’ve never been a huge fan of bronze watches, but the way that C60 is executed is simply spectacular. I would love to see that watch in more sizes, or at least that brown dial color in more models
I've got a C63 Sealander and C65 Dune - both absolutely fantastic, but I would love to see an upgraded movement in newer models
Waited over six months for my ‘12’, purple on rubber. Cannot find fault. Without doubt I’ll be buying from them again.
Definitely the best value watches around. This year I bought the Super Compressor and the C60 300 in black. Unbelievable watches at great prices.
Christopher Ward are knocking it our the park at the moment. Beautiful, well priced and times less pieces. Other brands really need to pay attention and watch out for them! Great video by the way…… And just go and buy a CW…… You know you want to! 😉

Love CW. I recently bought the C63 Sealander distressed green dial. Such a great watch. These look great too!
I love CW - I had one of their fantastic Super Compressor watches, I only sold it as I needed the money at the time, but I’d have another CW in a heartbeat !!
Nice review Russell! Christopher Ward is knocking it out of the park with these watches. Relative to other watch brands, so much more value. And I really like their bracelet design - far better than some other brands at a much more affordable price. I'd buy a CW now if I wasn't paying off other expenses. But I can see one of these watches in my collection in the future.

Christopher Ward have really been upping their game over the last 2 years or so. Good looking, well made, great prices, offering something for a fraction of the price of other watchmakers. Love my Twelve Ti, and have a C63, wear either often.
I've had a C65 Trident GMT for over a year, great watch. It's been time to buy a CW since before the Bel Canto.
Russell , this seems like another really solid brand. I did follow your recommendation on the Lorier, went with a Falcon over the GMT model (Hyperion?) - Either way, LOVE it and the service received. If I ever get inspired to move up in price range, I would do the CW. But that Falcon does a great job of perking me up throughout the day with jeans, slacks or even on the bike riding - Thanks Crap, forgot - my daughter watched the Back To The Future episode with me, she finds you entertaining . Congrats, as she is a teenager and hard to amuse sometimes. She will getting that Casio in her stocking this Christmas.

That one's easily scratched.The crystal on the Lorier is hesalite acrylic.
I have there of that type of crystal, no problems for me. It may depend on each person's usage. @@francispace9985

I got a C60 Pro 600 a few years ago. Love it and it's bronze. It's aging great!!
How are they with 'Discoloration' of the Wrist?.. have You had any 'Greening' or Colours showing up where the Bronze Meets the Skin?... or is that Just a Brass thing?
It shows a little green in aging. No green where the skin interacts ... I do think that's more a brass thing.
I got a bronze C60 back in 2021 and I've not had any of those issues. It's aging beautifully. Despite developing a nice patina it still has some slightly shiny bits. I have no idea how they managed this? Happy Accident? No green bits at all. Before the CW I briefly owned a bronze Zelos Mako. It aged much quicker and in a much duller, less interesting way. The CW was a big step up in quality - not just the bronze alloy used but almost everything else except the branding.
Honestly, it's the nicest bronze watch I know. Lovely coloured bronze - not like that slightly yellowish alloy Baltic uses for example... A lovely warm slightly orangey one that goes so well with the blue dial. The only problem with the watch is the naff font (primary school! Lol) used for the company name and the fact that it's written out in its entirety. Lololol branding was CW'S Achilles heel but I've learnt to live with it cos the watch is so gorgeous in every other way.
I’ve been watching Christopher ward as an affordable luxury watch and they’ve been making some great watches.
Their return policy is fantastic. I bought one in the early days and returned it because i made the wrong choice. I've not got any better and sell on more than half the watches I buy at a loss if I can't return them (or uneconomic)
The Atoll is special! Great review as always. I think I will need to eventually get a CW and that Atoll is top of my list. Why do they often make bronze equivalents in a bigger size?
I am certified "blind" and my C63 is brilliant, one of the most legible watches going, love it. A black 300 Pro may be in my future....
I love these. I have a C60 Elite 1000 currently on the red, black ocean strap and an early Trident 600. Both are really well made.
I have their c60 SHI Abyss, and when I had a warrenty issue (the rotor stopped winding) they took care of me from start to finish with plenty of communication and in a 'timely' manner. They've made a huge fan of me.
Very good video, recently bought the 40mm white dial C60 on bracelet. Very impressed with the level of fit and finish. The bracelet in particular is fantastic. Half links, on the fly micro adjust clasp and quick detach spring bars. Quality is right up there, (and in some areas surpasses my omega smp 2531).

But perhaps I'm not that surprised. I bought a 38mm GMT (red bezel and white omega style wave dial - lovely) back in 2018. The fit and finish as you say is top notch and the crown action is buttery smooth. Best of my entire collection. And you know I picked it up new on eBay for only 500 or so quid... Them were the days! 😅
I don't think CW gets enough credit for their quality.

Much like the Orient logo being compared to an old cigarette packet I cant separate Christopher Ward from Daniel Wellington, Michael Kors or Kenneth Cole.
Maybe they should completely rebrand as CW watches 🤨

Seikos recent history and heritage is making mostly poor QC and price hikes. CW are killing it.

There is so much to like about Christopher Ward! I love the new logo/branding! I was never put off by it saying Christopher Ward like a lot of people but the placement being at 9 o’clock always felt off to me. The dual flags at 12 works much better in my opinion.
As you pointed out though, the reason I don’t own one is the lack of heritage. If it was just about specs and/or bang for your buck then Christopher Ward are extremely hard to beat and I’m sure I’ll be adding a CW to my collection one of these days 💸😂
Heritage... Meh. Unless you're one of those 'i will not own more than X number of watches' people I say go for it. Let other pieces in your collection do the heritage thing while CW will do some of the best bang for buck quality in the entire watch world.
No, I'm not on the pay roll. I have two and I love them both. The wee 2018 GMT has the best crown action (buttery smooth!) Of my entire collection.

I have the C60 Trident Pro - black dial, red bezel and I absolutely love it. I'm getting another CW as soon as I can. The engineering is superb and the value for money is outstanding.
I have a C60 Bronze Hombre Green dial. Such a great patina! Also an original Moonglow as well as a C60 Elite 100 in Titanium. All great watches! A Cielo Bel Canto is on the way and a C63 Blue Marine is due for delivery end of this month too. They are a great brand! 🙂 I do prefer the Christopher Ward name logo - not so much the flag thingy.
Great watches, I have three and can't complain about any of them. You can go to their shop and buy one if it's not to far from you.
Im looking to get the Bronze Variant, in my opinion its the most unique watch on the market to date, as the bronze will antique (change colour slightly) over time
I never thought the name-on-the-dial was a big deal. Didn't understand why it was so polarizing.

I have the C60 Sapphire & its fantastic. It wears small for a 40mm & I love it & I like they offer different straps when you buy. I like pretty much the entire CW catalog.
Love the quality of the cw dive watches. Owned a few in the past. But i hate the newer hand design, that huge dagger style hour hand and the small thin minute hand. Just not for me.
Well. I have to say the 42mm width and the 22mm lug size are seriously off-putting, but that bronze c60 is just stunning...the Chronometer rating is what sold me though. Definitely going to get one now.

Yeah am really impressed with this brand, I have a C63 Sealander GMT. A comfy tool watch to wear down at the pub or the beach that is smart enough and slim enough to wear in the office.
Mine has the "Christopher Ward" script on the face and am happy to keep it, for whoever gets this watch after me in years to come it might become a sought after attribute. Especially considering that people don't talk of Christopher Ward as a microbrand so much any more preferring to use the term "Independent Watchmaker Brand" - they are part of the horological future.
That is the nicest bronze watch I have seen.
C60 trident 300 and c65 diver here. Amazing. Got them both like New for 1000 euro total. Now that is a bargain

I own four CW Tridents - pro 600, chronograph, blacked out titanium, and COSC pro 600. Great value and warranty support. Am waiting for my new BelCanto!
I own a few CW watches and to date my favourite is my Sandhurst Gen 1 Basically equal to or dare I say better than the Tudor ranger but at 1/4 the price. 😊

I bought Christopher WARD WATCHES IN 2018 (38mm GMT diver with red bezel and white dial - lovely!) AND 2021 (38mm bronze diver with blue face - gorgeous! Nicest bronze watch i know!) and I still love them both. 😊
The crown action on the GMT is top notch. Buttery smooth. I don't own a Rolex or modern Omega but i doubt either are much better!
To anyone considering CW - go for it! Great quality and great bang per buck. And if you're a Brit there's also a wee bit of patriotic pride thrown in for good measure. 😊

I too am about to pull the trigger on these guys. I’ve been holding on for the last couple years just waiting for it to get just right. They’re starting to get applied logos on C63 Sealander GMT models. I visit the website weekly to see when it hits the white dial. It’ll make it to they’re entire line in time. I love what this brand is doing!!!!
My dream watch since seeing it 6 months ago is the white dialled Sealander C63 GMT. A stunning looking watch, going to take a trip to their showroom in the new year to buy it ❤
Just my tuppence worth. The CW watches have on the whole been well made / great value since the companies inception. I've hung about their website for around 16 years and really loved some of their offerings. Why have I never pulled the trigger? IMHO their choppy changy branding is a object lesson in how not to do branding. It's an absolute omnishambles! Like it or not, the wee 5 pointy crown or Omega symbol or Flying hour glass (to name but a few) on your watch mean something. Like the three pointy star or the 4 concentric circles on your radiator grille.......and the list goes on in terms of consumer goods. In a lot of ways its repugnant snobbery.......but its human nature and that won't change. The CW in a circle, to CHR WARD then Tesco Value font......then to having something that does'nt even tell you who makes the product totally devalues otherwise great products..........bewildering!!

Yeah, the Branding has been shambolic but I liked the w within the c. The primary school style font that came later not so much. 😂 I dunno all brands have their Achilles heels and the Branding has been CW's. The quality on the other hand - definitely not!
That said, I'm happy the first of my two (2018) has 'London' on the dial. (I did my PhD in London.)
I only wish my Anordain had 'Glasgow' on the dial. Paulin? Sadly, a Bit of a hot mess to my eyes. :( Maybe they'll improve at some point. Anyway, I got the patriotic Irn Bru orange dial anordain instead. 😅
TBH, naming it after 1 ( who left first) of the initial 3 partners as they couldn't think of a name is probably not a good idea.
Money should have been spent employing pr/ marketing from the off (?). For an Internet only brand ..maybe just me; also , I don't like other's names on my items..( as yet CW free)..unless they're French or Spanish.
If you want a good automatic and not bothered about paying the extra for brand cache of the Swiss bug boys then they are very hard to beat
Great review. Can’t fault these watches. The fact the date wheels are the same colour show the integrity of the brand. They could make more profit and stick a white date wheel across the board. 👏🏻

Been buying CW since 2018 - great brand and service and interesting how some snobbery around it but the Bel Canto and Twelve changed the perception.
Definitely gonna be the next brand in my collection. The Anthropocene with the sapphire dial is gonna be it.
Bought the anthropocene GMT a few months back and it's definitely great value, I'm really happy with it.. I've got a Tudor black bay heritage which I reckon it's on par with and a longines hydroconquest and I'd put the CW above that

I have a C60 mk1, a C11 chrono and another C60 but the blue sapphire one which I bought for one of my kids birth year watch. Can't speak highly of them enough. The logo on the mk1 I actually really liked, never known a logo cause so many disagreements.
CW offers the best value in its price range. It compares to Oris and Longines at half the price.
I agree with the wife - the white one’s my favorite and I think looks the best on your wrist.

Nah , not for me, I don't really like the CW's of the last few years. Their attitude to reviewers and customers with their massive own goal of the previous logo at the 9 O'clock position (now discontinued ) was that it was our fault that we didn't like it , just finished me with them.
They updated their design based on customer feedback and requests.
I'm surprised you didn't try and get in the aquitaine or the Dartmouth as I would have thought they would be right up your street. The Dartmouth definitely has a sm300 style, they even said so themselves.

Had the older gen 65 trident in blue for 2 years. Absolutely loved the case and bracelet - never had such a comfy watch before and after! Only bad thing was the adjustement of the movement, was gaining about 18s/d. But overall had a good time with it!
have to say, the wife (and you) are right on this one - the yacht master-esque bezel and fume dial Atoll is the looker of the bunch!
i think the bel canto is a must have...gonna be a classic and a winner for years to come...get that one buddy

Great review Russell. I have the limited edition C63 with the purple dial and the value for money is fantastic. Definitely no microbrand anymore but a fully fledged independent watch maker. I'm itching to pull the trigger on either the new Moonglow or the Bel Canto next

The blue one is very simliar to the blue dial Mido Ocean Star because of the second hand with the tip in orange and text on dial also in orange. I had a hard choice by selecting between the Atoll or the Bronze... finally I've got the Bronze =) Great video!.

Just received my bronze 300 this week! Love it, long time CW fan, and I find the bronze 300 to be the perfect bronze diver. Thin, beautiful hombre dial, COSC, and an applied logo!
