The Red One is a stunner, and kudos to you for not going the usual "recolour a dive watch bezel" route of so many collaborations. Sure, it's basically a recoloured dial but at least the base watch was interesting to begin with.
I have the Pagani, cost me a huge £21 on AliExpress. One year later, still going strong with zero problems. Strongly advise it over any fashion brands 🙌
Honestly don't get what people see in "designer brands" and "fashion brands". For clothes as well as watches. Breitling and Omega cost a lot of money because of the materials and workmanship that go into them, delivering good overall quality. Sure, you pay a brand premium, but they've earned that by consistently delivering good products over many years. What value do you get from most designer/fashion brands? For the most part those are little more than a $20 Temu special with a fancy logo slapped on top and an eyewatering price tag.
@233kosta Exactly, I appreciate the quality of my Omega, it's a vintage one but yet I love it. However, I don't wish to wear it day to day. However, some designer watches are hideously expensive for exactly that, a Chinese made watch with cheap parts. So AliExpress is my go to for something cheap and cheerful. For the same price as a designer watch, you have Seiko, Orient, Tissot... Etc. The marketing of the designer brands, and lack of watch knowledge is why people get them. I completely understand where you're coming from here.
I’ve been listening to your boring voice for years now, the red Christopher Ward is brilliant. The collaborative effort with Ward is noteworthy & littered with signs of humble beginnings. Nothing is more soothing than the sweet sweet voice of Andrew talking watches. Really annoying that the perfect red bel canto would be a limited time only piece. New perfect watch or divorce? I have until the 3rd of July to decide..... 🤷🤔
@ozicryptoG Oh come on, it’s not like CW are a nefarious player pulling dark strings in the background. Andrew’s been invited to collaborate on a watch and he’s mentioned it a couple of times on his channel to advertise that. Probably because thumbs up and subscriptions on their own don’t generate enough to fuel his private jet. Don’t disregard that he’s been making positive noises about CW - and plenty of others - for a long time. He’s always been a Bel Canto and The Twelve fan. So am I.
@ozicryptoGbecause the top gear guys don't clearly have favourites that they go on about without losing objectivity when driving and reviewing anything put in front of them. I didn't like his own piece unique, the beak and puke coloured chime mark really didn't do it. I feel he told them what he wanted from swatches without any appreciation of how it would realise in that metal. This snacks of his follow up album to blow us out the water. Yes he's been pushing it a bit, like any RUclipsr he has alright to earn some money from the content you don't pay him for. No different from an affiliate link. And it doesn't make his content worse. far from it, the bigger profile he has, the more watches might get thrown his way. He would be a great ambassador for British watchmaking and brands. Is Christopher Ward at risk of cheapening the brand... perhaps. Not because of this collaboration, it's the best of all the ones I've seen and I prefer it to CW's own London watch show limited piece which was throwing too many things at it. But because I think we have reached peak special editions. It's not an investment, of course it's not, even if they only make 30 of them. But there's also something satisfying about paying a bit more to have something few people have, that's your own personal identity in a watch or any item that you enjoy. I think CW should really swallow some negative publicity and release the blue and green again. The blue, green and this red should all be regular bold colours, with the paler ones for the more subtle look. A bit like the Omega aquaterra. Still great watches despite all the colours and releases... and still 25% overpriced.
I am so glad you are creating these videos. Humorous tongue firmly in cheek, yet very informative. We get introduced to matchmakers we might never get a chance to know. And some of these timepieces can be relatively be accessible if the right budget is set aside. Oooo the price of a Dornbluthe is so inviting! That! Is heirloom quality.

Congrats on The Red One ... that's awesome! It's been fun watching from the sidelines over the past few years as you forged your own path and became successful doing something you clearly love. Thanks for describing the tiny screws around the jewels in the Hentschel H1 1877. My Hamilton 992E has screws like those, and I wondered what they were for. Mystery solved. Gracias.
Got to be honest, after watching your video on D. Dornblüth & Sohn a few years back I reckon that's the watch that has to be the biggest bargain around. Sadly too expensive for me still. But it's good to have goals right? Great video as usual!

I know you don’t answer comments, but I just read New York Deep last week and was hugely impressed. I’m a time travel fanatic and enjoyed it thoroughly.
I love this kind of videos because I just learned something new - we all know our Rolex, Omega and Tudor versions if one follows the watch industry and we probably also own some of them but personally I am very interested in having something that almost no one knows - having a watch that others will enjoy and make them think 🤔 nice watch……don’t know it, but respect ✊
As long as it does not have a governor it’s not a chime watch. Bell Canto pretty much introduced a a hack to at least have it make a sound once an hour.
@theshadowman1398 Technically yes, but show another watch that does the same for reasonable price. I would say the best would be a JLC Memovox with the alarm function.
Great video as always and what an association with CW - the watch looks brilliant. You no doubt add to their credibility and if I hadn’t just bought a Mont Blanc 0 Oxygen 8000 I would have taken the plunge so to speak.
VERY impressed with the ST1901 movement in my 1963 chrono. With accuracy of +1 sec every 3 days it's my most accurate mechanical watch. More accurate than some of my Quartz watches! Unbelievable for the price, maybe I was just very lucky and got a really good one!
Sometimes I think “I won’t watch this video till the end, you know just because” and then every time the intro mentions something that will happen at the end and just like that I’m committed, full send to the end. It happens every time……
I like to think that if there's a line, I'm usually way, way over the other side of it. Your Titan submarine content though proves I am but a metre pretender. Hats off Sir 🙌.
I've just ordered "the red one"....... Do you know if they will ever reveal how many red ones were ordered? I'm pretty excited about it. Congrats on the CW collab. I missed the initial blue one, and also the green one went stupidly fast. The current four colours were nice enough but weren’t enough to tempt me. This ruby red one though… ordered immediately and will be sitting next to my MAD1 by this Christmas… (hopefully)
😂😂😂 informative and too many lines to quote back...but howled at the relationships start with a good screw comment.😂 Another fabulous, unique video Andrew. 10 / 10
Well, not everybody had got the chance to miss the Blue one (BelCanto Azzuro)...If I had, I would have rushed on your Red one (redder than a Brit in Marbella 😂). Well done Andrew!
I was the first person in Spain ,other than the founders family, to order a Velos from Miguel of Ophion.Invited to visit office if in Madrid, Great salmon dial, hands, numerals, case and movement.Compared to other pieces of this type its a bargain.
"But it DOES go round and doesn't unscrew itself along the way." LOL, Andrew! You've brought more smiles to my face than a barrel full of clams. "Brushing your tooth and throwing your poo out the window." "Kids have always been assholes." You're killing me, Mate!
still waiting for my Sugess to arrive - had to go with the Chrono Master 438 Deep Blue Dial Power Reserve Indicator (snappy name eh?) because the one you reviewed sold out - but hey, I get a bigger dial and a power reserve indicator thrown in!
I have a Citizen Sailhawk that I got new one at 140 Pounds I also got pre-owned Citizen World Time Perpetual Calendar at 99% (no worn sign) at exact 100 Dollars with full box and leaflets those are most bargain I could ever find in my whole life
For the vintage category on a budget may i suggest a Seiko Weekdater? The 6218-8970 or 6218-8971 specifically. The 'standard' one with a sunburst dial is good looking already, but the linen dial one is simply stunning. It was made from 1963 to 1967, its movement is the predecessor of the one used in the 62GS, the crown is hidden so the (quite slim) 37mm case, similar to that of a vintage Heuer Carerra, is symmetrical, it has a uniquely positioned (spelled in full) day at 6 and a date at 3 o'clock, it's somewhat rare, and a good example will cost you anywhere from 250 to 800$. It's a hidden gem and is in many ways a better watch than what modern Seiko has to offer, the only downside is the 30m of water resistance. I urge you to give it a look.
I have a 1952 Hamilton 992B. I got it a couple of years ago after Andrew waxed poetic about his. I even found a matching dial crystal that I replaced the caseback with so it has a display back to see the gorgeous movement. It sits on my desk on a stand beside my computer, merrily ticking away at about -1min/month, which is not quite as good as its original specs but is within COSC standards. Not bad for a 72 year old timepiece.
@@AndrewMorganWatches Andrew, you actually gave me the idea when you described how you switched the caseback and the crystal on your watch so you could see the movement, and I realized that the caseback and crystal bezel used the same threading and were interchangeable. So, I found a matching bezel with crystal on eBay and voila.
Thanks Andrew, ordered "The Red One" arricing Jan 2025, now every time I take off my watch I will have your company tattooed on my wrist.....surely that's real-space advertising ;-)

Congrats on the watch design, Andrew!
“It really does come after the penultimate…” Understated, Andrew. Simply understated…
Kudoke impressed me the most as something I would consider if I had money. Thx!
Funny and informative as usual! (Though I think you could ditch the background muzak. It adds about as much value as another bling on a Hublot!) 😉
Simply magical narration!!!
I paused the video at 1:36, ordered a pagani design watch PD-1734. Carry on.
Wow! So they sold one! Good for them!
The Bel Canto is definitely on my list, a chime watch for under 5k that is unheard of.
Those that can, do. Those that cannot, list
Loved the subtle Return of the Jedi reference.
Love the puns and watch selection, simply brilliant.
I belive I talk for most of us when I say I want to see you come with your own watch brand. That would be amazing!
I hope it turns up a little sooner than the 7 month order window 🤣🤣.
If not I'm still excited about it 🙂🙂
I only know about the Bel Canto because of you so it just seemed right that when I ordered one it was the one you designed 🙂
Dear Andrew
Beautiful, creative and genius epesode unlike others in the watches scene of the "chiming " net .
Personally, I insist to purchase my next Grand Seiko with your very valuable signature. you are the one who brought me to admire Grand Seiko. I can wait for Christopher Ward Beautiful red one .
With love and huge appreciation
NIZAR
Congrats on the CW collab. I missed the initial blue one, and also the green one went stupidly fast. The current four colours were nice enough but weren’t enough to tempt me. This ruby red one though… ordered immediately and will be sitting next to my MAD1 by this Christmas… (hopefully)
Thank you very much! I hope you enjoy it 😁
😂😂😂 informative and too many lines to quote back...but howled at the relationships start with a good screw comment.😂
Another fabulous, unique video Andrew.
"Brushing your tooth and throwing your poo out the window."
"Kids have always been assholes."
You're killing me, Mate!
still waiting for my Sugess to arrive - had to go with the Chrono Master 438 Deep Blue Dial Power Reserve Indicator (snappy name eh?) because the one you reviewed sold out - but hey, I get a bigger dial and a power reserve indicator thrown in!
2:11 - It reads WATER 'RESISTNAT" What ?
…smooth presentation and smart choices 🍻 cheers
i laughed all the way through this video. i love hearing the watchfinder voice cutting loose! (more holes than a trypophobic's nightmare... gold!)
I have a Citizen Sailhawk that I got new one at 140 Pounds
I also got pre-owned Citizen World Time Perpetual Calendar at 99% (no worn sign) at exact 100 Dollars with full box and leaflets
those are most bargain I could ever find in my whole life
Great video Andrew I'm surprised there was no mention about Pagani Designs spelling of "resistant " lol😅
Great idea on the BelCanto. Will this be a one off production run. Can't scrape the cash now, but maybe later....
Congratulations to you, and a big congratulations to that logo designer.
You've got me hooked on Hooked on Old-Skool (very) Pocket watch movements, some of them are BEAUTIFUL!.. The Railway Hamiltons are absolutely Gawjuss.
Haha, the photocopier light traveling across the watch at 3:45!😂😂😂
For the vintage category on a budget may i suggest a Seiko Weekdater?
Why didn't I think of getting another crystal 🤦
@@AndrewMorganWatches Andrew, you actually gave me the idea when you described how you switched the caseback and the crystal on your watch so you could see the movement, and I realized that the caseback and crystal bezel used the same threading and were interchangeable. So, I found a matching bezel with crystal on eBay and voila.
Thanks Andrew, ordered "The Red One" arricing Jan 2025, now every time I take off my watch I will have your company tattooed on my wrist.....surely that's real-space advertising ;-)
Thank you for the most onest review in watch news👍⌚️🔬📈💷
I just had to stay for the last one to see if it genuinely did come after the penultimate one, and it did!! WOW!!!
“Let’s start, like all good relations, with a good screw” So subtle, with that accent and delivery. Epic!
Love your videos they’re great and very informative on watches. I don’t know if you have one or not but if not, I’m in the market for $1000-$1500 watch I’m looking for an all around her and I was wondering if you can do maybe a top 10 video on all rounders around that price point.
Thank you for sharing my favorite watch company, FC.
