Hello from across the pond, over the plains, and through a ton of traffic to Southern California! I came across your channel, and when I heard your divine accent, I was hooked! And guess what? I subscribed! Yep! Psst…I can’t wait until my husband and I are able to travel to your neck of the woods. ❤️
I've been on the diy journey for a couple of years now so I lost a little steam. This has renewed my creative juices. I can't wait to try it out. New subscriber. Thank you!
I have a solution for all those pink and green porcelain pieces with wonderful shapes. But tho I put them into our community room giveaway Noone would steal them. I only use blue and white so this is perfect. Bring it on,Annie Sloan! My first watch was worth all the time and more. Thank you. Subscribed
I have a vase exactly this shape that was covered in brown flowers, I coloured washed it with chalk paint and it looks OK but I absolutely love your look so I'm definitely trying it. Thank you .
Oh my goodness it is so beautiful, I love it. Thank you so much for sharing this process. I have an outdoor cylinder planter that I want to do the marble look. Your method is so much easier than what I have done before.
You were in my recommendations today and I'd thought I'd take a look. Wow. That is such a fantastic transformation. I have a plastic planter I want to do this on. Just subbed.
This is a smart idea and amazingly realized! I ve got a 90s polished black lamp, I ll transform completely thanks to your video. It s ugly now but i m sure it’ll turn into a wonderful lamp. Can t wait!
So cool, I have a large glass green vase that began fading because I've had it so long. I replaced it with another one that I thrifted but not pleased with the replacement so I'm gonna try this with the chalk paint and put my vessel back on it's throne🙂. Thanks!
Yes, those grape pitchers behind you...they wanna be next! Really I heard it through the grape...vine. Anyhoo, I would enjoy seeing what you with them, it would really be GRAPE! : )
@@JuliaKajtazi Touche! Oh you got me good! : ) Artistic, talented and whit too? Oh drats, I guess I am hooked on your channel. Orange ya glad? (Sorry I can't help it, it just came out. I promise to stop). Thanks for the fun warm welcome! - Bunnie
I just picked up a large plastic pedestal planter thing on the street that I want to do this technique to. But I want to start with a thick joint filler because I want to hide a lot of the detail I don’t like. Then I’ll start painting. I really want the effect of an old Grecian type urn.
I have followed your instructions to the letter and I think you would be impressed Julia. I want mine to be outside so what do I do now? Can I seal over the wax and if so, with what sealer? Thanks
123cindyb there is a yt on Renovation Hardware dupes where the top of a Lack table added to the bottom of an IKEA Lack table and a “veneer of concrete placed
Hi Julia, Only just came across you today so so glad i have as WOW what a transformation I've got loads of old pots i don't like the colour or pattern of so i'm gonna try that fingers crossed they turn out like yours.... You got yourself a big thumbs up and a new subbi xx
Thx Yvette, that’s very good to hear and thank you for taking the time to comment and subscribe. FYI, a new video will be uploaded in a day or so with another vase transformation. J x
You are great! As an amateur, I improvise as much as I can but with a completar of your wise and profesional tricks you boost my proyects a lot. I appreciate it🙏🏼🙏🏼🙆♀️✍🏼🥇👏👏👏
very good! i really enjoyed your video. I have used a wax called BRIWAX several times to do this sort of thing, and i love the finished product. They have a white wax too and too and it is so cool to the white like the old pickling finish. I am now eager to watch your other videos!
I have a plastic pot (I love the size and shape, but hate the bright teal color). Would this technique work on plastic and how do I protect it to be outside (hot summers, snowy winters).
I have a similar vase and I'm really inspired now to do the same to mine. I loved the video. Just wanted to know if the paint is safe enough not to damage my wooden floors as I want to place the vase in my lounge when I have finished
Andree Michaels I’m so pleased you have been inspired by the video! Wax is fully cured in 30 days so if you can wait that long it will be absolutely fine. If not, I would either not paint the bottom of the vase or use a matt lacquer all over instead of the wax (2 coats). I hope that makes sense.
Oh I have a few large vases that need upcycling from my ceramic days 🎨Thanks... also cheaper too and umm satisfying moment once again🤪 FYI: I went to Bunnings (DIY Garden Hardware Warehouse) the other day to look at some pots dang expensive 💰 Julia Kajtazi 👍🏼Thank you so much for sharing a great idea xo
I just watched your video and I’m very impressed with how beautiful that vase turned out. I have an old red vase at home. I think it is made out of some kind of heavy plastic. Can your process be used on any kind of surface. The vase will stay indoors. I don’t plan on putting it outside thank you so much.
