- Hello everyone, in today’s video I want to share with you another super easy and budget friendly DIY project, making vintage pottery or stone vases by using chalk paint, with thrifted items. These vases turned out to be very pretty, I hope you can get a little inspiration to make something similar on your own!

I love how they turned out. I've watched most videos with the use of acrylic paint mixed with baking soda. I think chalk paint is so much better. Thanks for this great tutorial.

Thanks dear! The paint colors I used in this video: Annie Sloan’s chalk paint, color: Graphite. Weverly’s chalk paint , color: Nimbus, mix these two colors together will creat the color of grey.😊

What do you go through after land?
Did the dirt layer come off when you added the clear wax?
No, it won’t come off if you dab the wax on the vase. 😄
Is your paint water soluble? Plz reply
Yes, chalk paint is water based, but if you seal it with the wax then it should be ok to clean it with a damp towel. I even rinsed the first vase a couple of times, it wasn’t any problems. Hope this helps🌷💕
What is the difference between using dirt and dark wax?
They have different effects on the finish of the vases. Using dirt will add some texture to the vase and give it a rough finish, make it look like was dug out from the ground. Using dark wax will result in a smoother finish, and give it a stone like appearance. On a couple of vases, I did use wax to seal the dirt for easy cleaning, and it worked out very well.😊

Yes
I use the Brand called "FARMHOUSE PAINT. NO PREPARATION REQUIRED! No need to use a primer or a topcoat or Wax. because it's already in the pant and this brand Dries super fast.
Paint and Baking Soda create a stone texture look
