turned out real nice. I've done many of these pots and have found wetting the dirt gives you the same effect but needing much less layering and coats of clear paint..............................just a time saver technique really
Wow!! You are so creative and clever! I just love how you presented your unique ideas, tips and tricks. Plus your videos are visually pleasing and easy to follow. I’ve been making diy videos for a while but I know there is still so much to learn. I love the idea of making dupes on a budget. I don’t think we have any pottery barns near me so it’s even better that I can make my own now. I’m happy to come across a talented creator like you. I’d really love to learn more from each other.
haha ! It's pretty fun Joan! We've been working on our outdoor garden space lately so we've got a lot more "playing in the dirt" videos coming! 😀😍 Have a beautiful day!
I have really enjoyed watching your channel, I think you should consider selling some of the beautiful dupes you make. I would definitely place an order!
Hi Araksi! Sometimes I think I should too... I have way too many pieces around the house and in the garage!! 😂 Thanks so much for your comment and I may have to start selling some of my stuff in the future! 💕
I didn’t know you had this color way also-I believe this must be the easiest, but time consuming, way to achieve these stunning results. I’m going to Home Depot this week to try to find those same planter.
I bought that same pot, same color from my Home Depot several months ago so I can do this very process to it. I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I'm glad I waited now because I'd like to see if I can find some of that chalk paint in Yarn to use on mine. Love the way yours turned out.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!! I made the black one by following your "Restoration Hardware aged planter" video! I'm obsessed!! Thank you for the great explanation! Now on to make this one...if I can find another pot...they're sold out! 😩😂💞😘💯👏💪
That's so, so awesome to hear!! Let me know how this one goes! And keep hunting for a pot... you can usually find a good one at a few different places! 💕
Love this - It just speaks to my heart!! Do you think it would work on plastic pots too? Would you follow the same steps? Thanks for sharing and the inspiration ❤️🙂
I hope he's not at the same store as my husband is because I warned my husband "You better find one or else" LOL!!! just kidding....but can you imagine how many husbands are out there at home depot right now asking the employees where this planter is located? LOL!!!
What an amazing job! Thank you fir sharing. I have old vases in my patio that I was going to throw away bc i didn't know how to fix them. I will for sure be getting them like new with your tips. ☺️🤗
Dommage qu'il n'y ai pas de sous titrage en français. Bravo pour vos créations.Too bad there is no subtitles in French. Congratulations on your creations.
It seems weird as I write these words.....but Girl, you got the BEST dirt !! 😂 crazy people like me look in the links for a source. Haha. You should sell it to gals like me who live in Virginia with RED clay 👎🏻👎🏻😹😹
I've had other people comment about the red clay! 😄That's not a bad idea, you may be on to something there Cheryl! 😄😉 Hope you have a wonderful day, take care!
Coffee grounds work great too
Yes! I've heard a lot of people doing that! 💕
And cinnamon too!
Hadn't seen this 'dry dirt' technique before. LOVED the result... can't wait to try it.

Can I have your advice pls? If I have a white pot do I need to start with clear spray 1st so dirt will stick ?
This is the best result! Not too rough, just enough.
One of my favorites, as well!
Perfect! AND... add a transfer to match your decor!
Thank you! 💕
😲😲😲😲 I'm blown away at how awesome this turned out!!!! I absolutely Love Love Love it!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks Kathy! The warm colors are gorgeous on this pot! 😍

Thank YOU for watching!! :)
I have a glazed terracotta pot. How do l prep it for the paint to stick and stay? I've tried to sand to roughen but l can't see the shine leave.
They have the same vessels at Tuesday Morning!! I only paid $15 for the same size!
Great find!!
I love this😍 this is exactly what I was looking for.
So good to hear!! 💕

It's a little time consuming, but the more you do it, the faster it seems to get ;)
Where did you "FIND" the Larger Olive Branches, Tree's, etc. ? Thanx !!!

Hi Laurie! Yeah, grab some of that chalk paint and you're ready to go! Come back and let me know how it goes!! 💕
I love this!! Did you wait until it was fully dry before adding the first layer of dirt?
Nice job! It turned out great!
Thank you!!
Great idea, been looking for a tutorial
Do you wait for the clear matte paint to dry before applying another layer of coat of dirt?
LOVE LOVE LOVE!! I made the black one by following your "Restoration Hardware aged planter" video! I'm obsessed!! Thank you for the great explanation! Now on to make this one...if I can find another pot...they're sold out! 😩😂💞😘💯👏💪
p.s. Dirt method is hands down the best!!! 💞
That's so, so awesome to hear!! Let me know how this one goes! And keep hunting for a pot... you can usually find a good one at a few different places! 💕
Totally agree! 💯
Hi Valerie,
Just discovered your channel 👏🏻
I love what you’ve done here - I’m now subscribed and will check out your other videos 😊🇬🇧
Hi Jo! So awesome to have you here! Hope you had a really good weekend! 😊
So beautiful!
Thank you!! :)
Just as beautiful as the first one, nailed it! 👏🏼😍
How sweet! Thank you so much for the support Marisa!
Do you wait it to dry first?
Home Depot apparently does not carry this style any longer. No at Lowe's too. Amazon, nada. Will shop local for this excellent idea!
Hi Jan! I'll keep an eye out and see if I can find anything! Thanks for the update!
Love this so much! Definitely going to be making one in this colorway now!
Hi Taylor!! Yes, do it!! Would love to hear how it goes! 💕
Lindo
Very nice video. thank you ... im opening a store and want to urn style and will use this method :-)
Thank you! And good luck on the new venture of opening a store!! 💕
Beautiful!
I love it.
Thank you!
I really love these. I wish Home Depot would restock the pots! 💕
Keep an eye out at other places too! I've seen identical ones at places like Tuesday Morning and someone said Home Goods and HomeSense!
I’m definitely doing this!
Rebecca! It's a great addition to the last one I did! Hope you had a great weekend and are doing well!! 💕
Love this - It just speaks to my heart!! Do you think it would work on plastic pots too? Would you follow the same steps? Thanks for sharing and the inspiration ❤️🙂
Hi Madonna! I don't see why it couldn't work on plastic pots? If you try it, let me know how it goes! Thank you for the sweet comment!! 💕
I was thinking the same thing. I think if I put a coat of plastic paint on the container first it would help adhere the rest of the coats.
Absolutely beautiful 🤩❤️
Thanks Melinda!! Have a great week! 💕
@@ValerieAguiar You also! I subscribed to your channel, I’m a fan!😊
I'm going to the goodwill
We can use modeling paste
I love this so much! I just sent my husband to Home Depot to find a pot 😆
Haha... that's the way to do it! Can't wait to hear how it turns out! 💕
I hope he's not at the same store as my husband is because I warned my husband "You better find one or else" LOL!!! just kidding....but can you imagine how many husbands are out there at home depot right now asking the employees where this planter is located? LOL!!!

I love this! Can you use regular spray paint or should it be spray chalk paint?
You can use regular, acrylic spray paint, but be sure to go with a "matte" finish.
Beautiful!!
Thanks Patricia!! 💕

How do you tell the difference between dirt vs elephant dung.
Have you seen Pottery Barns. Woven Wheel wall art?
I haven't! Something I should check out?? Sounds like something I might like!! 😀
Maybe use some southeast red clay along with gray and black dirt, give it some texture.
