Im new to this channel. I love that you dont follow the rules. Art has no rules. You mess it up you dress it up. My best work has come from my biggest mistakes. You Are Awesome 👏
Love those bowl so much. I love DIY projects.... Maybe you can a little stain to give a imperfect look. I can use the for little planters outside on the patio too. Don't forget little bumpers on the bottom to protect your surfaces inside... Ideas are endless💗
Such a good idea!!! I love the idea of adding cute little bumpers too! You will have to let me know if you end up trying this and what you end up doing with it. 🥰
THANK YOU for sharing your wonderful ideas! I've been trying to make a concrete bowl that I like the shape of for months, and your tutorial was the one that finally allowed me to do it.
Thanks for sharing this! I never thought of making a bowl of cement. But, I did it! I bought white candles at dollar tree, I cut them in big chunks with a sharp knife. I then melted them in a pan, like you did. The melt setting was to slow, so I set it on 6. Melted perfectly in no time! Thanks again for sharing this DIY. I love it!
Yay!!!! I am so glad to hear it went well and you love it! Makes me so happy! Thank you so much for watching this video and updating me! I am so happy for your beautiful new candle! 🥰
Wow, you’ve got some serious skills! Thanks for the very helpful tips too. They turned out beautifully and definitely have that RH look (without the $$ cost). Tfs!
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing this lovely video. I plan to do this; but I'm going to melt the whole candles in the pot first. I have a lot of old candles too. This was a beautiful video.
I love this and very well may even give it a shot. You made this look so easy. RH vibes definitely. U could also add a faux plastic succulent sphere to the bowl as well.
Brandy, I watched this video for the first time a couple weeks ago. Since then, I made the cement bowl ( with the help of your video!) and now I'm re-watching this one so I can follow the steps to fill the cement bowl with wax to make it into a three wick candle. I LOVE how yours turned out!!! My question is: When I melt the wax shavings in the pan, will it ruin the pan or does the wax wipe out? Thanks, Joan
Okay, update...used a pan and it was able to clean it out right away, However, I did drip/splash some wax on the side of the cement bowl. I'm hoping that when it is cooled and set, I can sand, the edge of the bowl, eliminating the dripped wax. Any tips? Thanks in advance. But, most of all thanks for this creative idea. I wouldn't have attempted it if I didn't see you do it on this video!!!!
Hi Brandy! Thank you for the tutorial and explaining everything. I was going to make concrete planters on the weekend. Totally adding the bowl to the batch too! Love the RH bowl with moss!
Stunning bowls.... I'd like to try to find a very large plastic bowl and do this!! Thank you for the inspiration and step by step! Enjoying your vids!!!
Hahahahaha I always love your comments! They are the best! I forgot to add the bowl molds (if you already made your list) so be sure to add those. I put a link for the exact ones I used but I just picked them up at Walmart when I was there. 🥰
I love the bowl and candle. Just started looking at this video. It doesn't seem like something that I could do. Oh gosh just started looking at the rest of the video. Definitely too complicated for me. I really like the way you did these.
Hello. I've watch your clip over 10 times. I have a question. Is it possible to use paraffin wax instead of cement? Would you make a video if it was possible? Thank you so much
Brandy, you’re great. Besides which, your stuff makes a home to feel good in, it’s not designed to end pandemics or bring about National unity, so take great comfort in you’re doing wonderful things to help us all have a home we love to come back to! You rule. And thank you for the lip colour heads up. My wife won’t share those details with me! 😉
New sub to your channel. I’m LITERALLY watching all your videos. Love you content especially all your home decor/home shopping videos. Keep them coming! ✨💕
I melt down the “butts” of my bath and body works candles to make wax melts. I use a silicon muffin sheet as my mold. Then I reuse the glass jars to hold my makeup brushes, store my perfume samples or as a pen holder on my desk 👌🏽 I’ll have to try this project out
I have a question, It doesn’t show in the video, but I assume you push the smaller bowls into the bigger once the cement is in right? And how much water do you use?
Hahahahahaha yassss girl! Also, I forgot to add the bowls... don't forget those. I linked the exact ones in the description but I got them at Walmart when I was in the store (if you need bowls) they were less expensive in the store. 🥰
