- These 5 DIY decor dupes were all inspired by Olive Ateliers. Their old world home decor items have become really popular in the last couple of years and I wanted to show you how you can DIY!! On a budget you can get the same look & feel as these expensive home decor pieces.
Olive Atelier home decor items are available at their location in California and recently made available online, they have been shared by influencers like @lonefox and @xomacennavlogs and for good reason, their items are beautiful! (but expensive)
These DIY decor dupes are all done using items I already had or thrifted, sample paints and recipes from Jonni @UltimatePaperMache Many thanks to her and her wonderful recipes! I see many more projects in my near future!

440 grams Joint Compound (NOT DAP Brand)
70 grams White Flour
2 Tbsp Mineral Oil/Baby Oil
Outdoor Paper Mache Cement Recipe
22 grams Dry Toilet Paper - 110 grams Wet
1/2 cup Drywall Compound
1/2 cup Elmers Glue-All or PVA Glue
1 cup Portland Cement

Absolutely the best dupes vid I’ve seen. Such beautiful, high quality pieces chosen to duplicate. I also really like how you went for certain elements and bypassed others; shape, size, condition, etc. and worked with what you found. You went for the feeling, texture, design elements, and color pallet. You were obsessed with exact reproduction of shape especially.

Great refinishing work. The shapes of jars seem like they don’t change just that designers change colors and textures so great to be able to change it up yourself without the cost. Seems like all the new trends are Bible chic.

All beautifully done. You made it look easy, but I think one has to have a natural gift for colours and textures, plus knowing how to achieve such good results, and you certainly showed a lot of expertise.

I’ve made a restoration hardware dupe paper mache bowl using a plastic bowl and paper mache ut with toilet paper and then painting it
