- Today's video I am showing you how I made my DIY Vintage inspired Paper Mâche Bowl. I have seen these all over lately from Restoration Hardware to Interior Designers all over the internet. In this video I show you how to DIY your very own Paper Mâche bowl.

Ive been doing paper mache since l retired 5 yrs l use my own trash mail that l have a shredder also egg crates that my neighbors save for me. I have sold some vases. I love it

to say your bowl is absolute gorgeous and very beautiful.
the "original" one is / was made by ppl, which did tons of these.. if you would produce just a series of them, they would look similar..

and because you wanted "this one" - of course you where not happy with yours.
DIY-ing is a process, you should love.. (including the waiting.. i know i'm impatient)
DIY-ing with the "mistakes" makes this bowl YOURS and only YOURS ..
now you don't have something everyone has, but a unique piece
(maybe you sit on it, and try to look at it at your masterpiece, with the unique colours and your touch.. this makes it very valuable)

This looks just as good as the “real” bowls....yours looks better to me because of the deeper coloring from the dirt wash. You did GREAT.

I love your videos! I all the sudden wanted a style change in my home because things I once loved are now eye sores, realizing my home was just too cluttered. So for a couple months now, I've been selling and throwing away so much junk in my home. Needing inspiration on how to look minimalistic but chic, I found your channel. You and Arvin give me so much inspiration and have some of that same aesthetic I love but just couldn't describe! I opt now for less is more and brighter, neutral colors. I truly think a cluttered and darker color schemed home can take a toll on one's mental health which I believe triggered my change of heart. Thank you for sharing your joy. You're also beautiful!

Girl you're trippin! Your diy bowl looks soooo good. I actually like it better than the authentic vintage ones you have. If you have the time you could totally make a bunch of these bowls and sell them on Etsy or something because guaranteed they would sell 😂💕
Brandy I love them, great job! Just a little tip from a fellow diy’er and artist..save a little bit of the paper mache powder and add a little to the paint you bought it will create that matte chalk like finish or sprinkle some baking soda into the paint. I think I’m going to make these thanks!

One part water to 5 parts paper mache. Mix in a zipper type bag to prevent dust going everywhere. Your bowl is perfect! xoxo

I seriously would purchase your bowl in my honest opinion. Much better depth and contrast😍😍. Maybe try spraying it with a clear coat in matte finish 🤔

That turned out sweeet!! I’ve used spray Pam as a release agent instead of oil when casting before, that might release from the plastic easier?? Idk, hopefully I’ll try this and tag you! I love those huge bowls and this beats hoping I come across one!

Don´t forget folks that you don´t need to buy paper mache premixed from a store....you can make it from your own recycled paper shredded mixed with water and non toxic glue or even flour . Yes, you can make wonderful things at home without buying more stuff ....use recyclable materials like newspaper....torn cardboard boxes and soak them in water and make your own paper mache the old school way :)

That turned out so great I thought❣️I’m like you when it comes to DIY’s. Unless, I myself can get it done like it was bought from a store or made by a true artist, I tend to not want to keep it or even bother trying. 😌 I am a perfectionist!
