My grandma passed away exactly 1 week after my 15th birthday that was in 2006 now that the 10th year without her I'm sitting here in tears listening to this. This song would have been perfect to play at her funeral. She always told me and my dad that she was ready to meet god and be back with my grandpa. I miss her more and more each day. Thanks for writing\singing this song it brings back all the good memories I had with her.

My dad lost a 2 year battle with lung cancer in November 2012 and first time I heard this song it took me back to that loss. Instead of pain I felt warmth. I miss him every day but this song makes me feel better every time I hear it. I feel the love that he had for me. It's a release from the sadness. Thank you for writing this song. It's beautiful.

This beautiful song really touched me when it came out in 2016. Little did I know my 38 year old daughter would pass away suddenly in April 2018. This song was comforting and I felt it described her journey. It was played at her Memorial Service a couple days ago. Many people commented how beautiful it was. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world.

Chris, this was absolutely beautiful. As a Christian whose dad went home suddenly three years ago, I've been looking forward to The Great Reunion (as I call our Heavenly meeting) for a while now. I see Jesus preparing my home. In my mind, I've seen myself being accepted by God and Jesus, then stepping back and looking to my right where my dad stands with his arms open wide and other loved family and friends standing behind him to welcome me. Your song is very comforting to me. It reminds me that his last breath here was his first breath in the presence of God. Thank you for sharing your beautiful gifts and talents with us.
I saw you in Fargo last November. I was flustered and rushed and trying to tell everyone what I thought of you all. It was only later I realized, to my shame, I said nothing to you. I wanted you to know I have appreciated your hard work, your beautiful voice, and the way you [seem to] effortlessly arrange songs for the group.
I'm excited to see you working on your own, too, and I'm subbing. I will share this with friends who are grieving. Thank you for allowing people to use it freely.

Thank You Chris. I thought of my Dad as I heard this ... I had to let HIM know that it was time for him to move on, that my sister and I would be fine, and that our Mom was waiting for him. He passed that night. .... I found this song by following the links on your 'departing video' from Home Free. My Best Wishes on your Future Endeavors; I am sure there are many 'Home Fries' that are sorry to see you go; but we also know, that as an artist, you need to spread your own wing.

This is the second time in less than a year that I have been drawn to this song. I found out today through a Facebook post that one of the girls who was just a year ahead of me in school passed away. I didn’t know her very well. We were in theater together but only shared the stage a few times. That is now the second person that class has lost since February and class sizes there were only about 170. Needless to say, this song did break me.

I cried for a week straight until I found and heard this song for the first time, when you sang it with Home Free. I had never ever heard of your group before in my life, I found it completely by chance. It brought me so much peace when I heard it, I knew this was a message from my dad through your song. I play this song for his anniversary since then. Thank you!

I'm so sorry Janet.. I want to share my favorite poem with you in hopes it helps..
      In the Next Room
      Death is nothing at all:
I have only slipped away into the next room.
      I am I and you are you;
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference in your tone:
Wear no forced air or solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the
      little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval,
      somewhere very near,
Just around the corner. All is well.
      -Canon Henry Scott Holland

Through tear-stained eyes, I am watching this video that I stumbled upon and the timing is unbelievable. 17 years ago, during Thanksgiving week, I lost my oldest brother to a drunk driver. He was fighting his own demons but was beginning to make things right when all of a sudden he was gone. Little did I know 5 years to the date we buried him, I would lose the first man I ever loved, my dad unexpectedly. The words in this song is just what I needed to hear. Thank you so much for sharing. You are truly gifted.

My friend and I attended the Evansville IN show 4/27, a combination celebration of her birthday and a sort of a re-entering of life for both of us. We both took care of our aging mothers for over ten years. She lost her mom in January, and mine just passed March 24. Prior to the show starting, we both agreed that our moms were smiling down on us and wanting us to be together and have a good time. When you sang Movin' On, we both looked at each other and said "Our mommas are speaking to us!" The tears flowed, but they were good tears. I LOVE this and wanted so badly to wish you well on the new chapter of your life, but I was a little star-struck during our VIP and it slipped my mind. Thank you for providing a light in my life for the past few years with HF and best wishes as you move forward with your career. I will definitely be following!

This is truly beautiful! Sad that you left Home Free, but it would be sad to miss your voice in your own songs, too. Good luck for your future.

What a wonderful encouraging joyful uplifting song, add to that your talent, all who have a relationship with my Lord have so much more to look forward too, in the future when I'll be preaching the word and sharing the love of my Father as I'm called to send his children home what a great song to use for comfort and peace, you be highly blessed Chris, B

So heartwarming and heart breaking at the same time, especially now as we're dealing with Hubby's grandfather's passing.

I'm 18 years old and when I was 14 I had an open heart surgery. I wasn't scared. A few years later when I was 17 my dad told me he has stage 2 lung cancer. They removed most of his right lung. My grandmother passed away a few months later on my birthday. (December 21st) this song has me thinking about everything we've been through. Thank you for this. Brought tears to my eyes.❤️❤️❤️

Very few song I have heard in my 39 years of life have touched my soul and brought tears to my eyes. You sir, have now joined 3 other artists who did just that. It was a very beautiful arrangement. If this is what you're putting out now, I eagerly await to see what you give us in the future. Job well done.

I had to share this on Facebook today as my cousins lost their dad and my aunt her husband of many years. His faith was firmly grounded and this is a tribute to him.
Thank you Chris, I am excited to hear what other heartfelt songs you have to bring.
