Hi Byanca, Thank you so much for sharing this amazing China content. The last time I visited China was over 20 year ago. I used to travel from Hong Kong to Shenzhen for business. Even at that time I was always amazed on how quickly the infrastructure was growing. I remember my last visit to Shenzhen I had counted 39 construction cranes erecting all new buildings in this emerging city. Now looking at your recent videos I am so amazed at the architecture and growth that has occurred. Once again thank you as always for sharing your content and keep up the good work!
As soon you go from tier1 to tier1.5 city it does do get cheaper rather fast, Chengdu is #1 city in teir1.5 list.(aka new-tier1 list as calling them tier2 did not make them happy:)
Quick conversion: 10M yuan, add a decimal, = 1.0, then add 50% = US$1.5Million

Outside of the city of London the UK is actually quite affordable.
You can get something really nice with $1.37 million USD outside the City of London.

1) People in Chengdu care less about apartment living than about apartment selling. Chendu locals are major foodies!!!
2) The luxury lifestyle is pretty much overrated. Everything is so cheap and convenient, living in a cheap apartment offers the same benefits as living in a luxury apartment.
Thanks to the infrastructure and technological growth, living in Chengdu is amazing because it is so focused on development and if you make some, you will not find the kind of CIRCLES OF FRIENDS here anywhere else in the world... lightning fast value!!!!
How does other fees work in China? in Florida there would be an annual property tax of 2.1%
And monthly condo associations fee probably would be $1000/month.
No property tax minimal maintenance fee probably US$1-200 per 1,000 sqf/ 100 sqm excluding utilities.
2.1% that is like $21 000 a year on a $1 million condo, plus $1000 condo fee.
Plus you have to deal with Hurricanes.
That is utterly insane.
