Hi Byance. Thanks for another great video. This really open up my perspectives toward China. With Malaysia getting 15days Visa free to China, i'm putting my plan for travelling there. I'm amazed and interested to visit Chengdu. Being a Chinese origin, China is a must to visit for me. Looking forward for more videos from you.

Hi there, I just returned to Malaysia from ChengDu on end of October. I also visited the same shopping mall that showed in your video and I was amazed by the hi Tech EV cars in the the showrooms there. I love to have Chinese tea and relaxing in the people garden of ChengDu, it is my dream city!
Welcome back Byanca! It has been quite a while since your last video. I really liked this video and how you explain the misconceptions about China. I find this perception true about people who have not had the opportunity to do foreign travel. The perception is often different then reality, it doesn't matter what country, if the person has not visited and experienced another country they can rely on hearsay or the image of the country in their mind. I have had opportunity to travel to may countries and I am always amazed at how advanced they are in terms of infrastructure, architecture, attitude and language skills. It is always an eye opening experience when you travel. Your videos allow us all to see different experiences, culture and the overall feel of the country!
Such a wonderful vlog. As an american, i have wondered about mamy if the items you have presented. I am so excited about the prospect of traveling to China one day.😊
Your choice is right, Chengdu is a slow pace of the city, very comfortable, suitable to walk around and see, as well as Hangzhou, Xi 'an can also go, there are different beauty.
Nice meeting you guys, thank you and always appreciate positive videos of China like these. Not only it may open someone eyes in the west and hopefully with that they can experience China , its culture and its people with a different attitude . As we all know once they have seen and exp China, they will be changed forever. The most basic human right in the west actually does not exist, it is the right to know the truth, people in the west are constantly being fed hate, misinformation, fear of China on a daily basic by their Media. I Was in HK, Shenzhen few months ago from Toronto and just couldn't believed the change for just couple of years since my last visit. I am a HK native living 30 yrs in Toronto, have finally decided to move back to China next year ( zhuhai ), and very much looking forward to it. Simple fact, Toronto / North America in general is deteriorating rapidly and 100% no longer worth living there, the crime, the mess of everywhere, the winter, and for Toronto in particular the sky rocketed cost of living ( expensive for nothing ), the homeless and mentally disturbed are everywhere on the street, the drugs, it's no longer worth retiring here in Toronto. I feel fortunate that I have the option of moving back to Zhuhai China . Look forward watching more of your video ...
Would love to hear how they go about with their kids schooling. We’re a family that’s thinking of moving there as well but just wasn’t sure how the schooling would work for young kids
Here is how: in China, schools will force your kid to learn more real things and discipline a student supposes to learn. But if you prefer to have your kid learn and practice more bullshit things like gender diversity and switching, rainbow colorization and bully on other students, China is not the place for your kids.
Generally there are two systems, the ordinary Chinese schools and international schools. In international schools you can take LB/US courses to apply for the access of universities all over the world. Take Chinese courses is a much harsher way as the competition is totally MAD in China that your child has to be the best intellectual 10~20% percent among millions to receive nice university education and only 3% of them can get the best. So basically to be international students then apply for Top universities in China is seen as a shortcut, like ten times easier, and many middle class Chinese parents choose this to avoid domestic competition.
What you heard is the CIA funneled $50M a year to western media journalist, it's now a bigger cash-flow than ads. Why would they be so unethical? it's all done in the name of dollar hegemony, lose it and Feds would have to cut budget by 50%

It seems to me that some of the countries we are told falsehoods about the country . I have been out of the country several times and it didn't seem the way everyone talked about in my country

12:45 I assume that’s because there is zero fear for them to lose their county to mass immigration, which is not the case in western countries. Homogeneous countries can afford to be open and welcoming as long as there is no risk for them losing their homogeneity.
Will China have 1Million Americans in two decades, probably, but as it's 0.07% of population, it will not change culture much (as seed of blue and green eyes would be cool) As these people have been vetted and will never get irrevocable citizenship unlike in the west, they can be kicked out if they become criminals.
Tesla introduced several more affordable tiers. Their early cars were all luxury car level. So that is why you see so many as in the past. The same thing happened here in the States and they still have little competition.
There is very little China travel guide in RUclips in comparisons for example to Japan. The blocking of Google apps maybe a turn off for potential visitor even though in south Korea you also can't use Google map. Is it true it's hard for foreigner to use cashless apps because you need to have local bank account? I went china once only to my ancestors hometown long time ago,I wished to visit the current advanced china and the old town.
The Alipay app is available to Chinese nationals with a Chinese bank account, but non-nationals can also use the specialist 90-day Tour Pass. This allows you to preload funds for your trip.
Thank you Byanca for showing us true life in china cities . Best wishes for you and this couples from Australia and china . Have a nice time . Try visit ChongQing and Guangzhou for more experience life .
This Andre is pretty interesting. How did he get a drivers license if he cannot speak Chinese? Also good to know I can get a good paying job in China with only English.
I think 3 months is kind of fast to draw any definite conclusions about living anywhere. Certainly my first year in China I would have been gushingly positive like this guy, for many of the same reasons - safety, convenience ( in major cities) etc etc. 6 years on and with a lot of travel within the country to many different provinces under my belt plus language fluency so I could read and hear a lot more of what was going on and I think I was in a much better position to make a more genuine critique. Also I was in a much better physical position to make that honest reflection - ie no longer in the country. And I would say that overall my own experience was very positive. I'm certainly glad that i did it, I made some lifelong friends and it advanced my career a lot and it was just very interesting. However - like anywhere of course - there are also lots of issues and not so good things. And I guess that is where videos like this kind of fall down for me. Because obviously if you had a lot of negative views about China - and if any of those negatives looked even remotely like implied criticisms of the central government - then obviously you'd be extremely unwise to share those views online. I mean RUclips of course is actually banned in China so you're using a VPN to get around that. That should tell you something. I recently watched a RUclips video of a guy from SE Asia documenting his move to New York and reflecting on the first 6 months there. He had a lot of positive things to say - but also plenty of negatives too as you'd expect. The point is he could do that - its not an issue. Maybe the reason when I watch RUclips videos of expats living in China I never hear much in the way of criticisms or concerns is because China is indeed a perfect utopia so there's really nothing negative to say🙄. Bur having lived there I don't think so, I think there's another reason and for me at least that makes all the gushingly positive videos kind of meaningless. Just being honest.
I would bet you didn't make any friend, local Chinese friend I mean. At least not really connect to the people there. Sure, I DO believe you are honest, and shared your true feelings about China. I'm sorry you felt that way, and yes, there are some ugly truth about China, nowhere is perfect I guess. As a Chinese, I would like to invite more people to come to visit, and trying my best to make them happy, but I can't help that some people are just hard to please.
@@Leoq-zk6wt You would bet completely wrongly. And my wife is mainland Chinese. Everyone is entitled to express their feelings and views as long as it is genuine and with good intentions (you may criticise but may not spread hate). If your China is different to this video or any videos that you think only talked about China too positively, I think a lot of people would love to see your video and to hear your side of stories.
Tiktok would also be banned if tiktok kept its servers in China. It is just double standards because RUclips, FB refused to comply and they are being used to spread propaganda esp on tibet and xinjiang.
