Brilliant video Jon and congratulations on completing your Video Nasty collection. I myself have all 72 Nasties on DVD and am now trying to get them all on Bluray and 4K if this is possible.
Your right about the Werewolf and the Yeti being a rare one to find. I myself purchased mine on Amazon some 12 years ago. It was available for a very short time on the Blue Laser Label fully uncut and with the original VHS artwork. I dont know if this is still available. I also recently saw Night of the Bloody Apes on special edition Bluray complete with slipcover from VCI Entertainment which might be worth picking up 👍

The Video Nasty Adventures continue, a very interesting journey you're taking us on John, cool stuff. All 39 titles on the list, wow. I have two Paul Naschy films in my collection, Vengeance of the Mummy (he also wrote the screenplay) and The Frenchman's Garden (which he wrote and directed). His Mummy film was pretty good I have to say, and The Frenchman's Garden I still need to see, but I know it's based on a true story about a serial murderer who was nicknamed The Frenchman. Naschy was a very talented man I remember reading, he loved writing screenplays and got into acting by default, but he ended up enjoying both equally. He actually wrote his Wolfman character for Lon Chaney Jr. as a sort of resurrection of the classic Horror days, but Chaney' turned Naschy down as his health was starting to decline due to years of smoking, and that Chaney felt he was too old for such a physically demanding part. Naschy ended up taking the role out of necessity, and of course the rest is history, and he became a horror icon overnight. Take care my friend, hope you and the Debs are well, and speak to you soon.

The Werewolf And The Yeti is the last of the nasties I haven't seen, she's a tough one to track down to be fair.
It's a great set and kind of worth it....would have been more realistically priced at £30 for me though 🤔🤔🤩🤩👍👍

The Paul Nashy set when Scream Factory used to do nice collectors editions with newly commissioned artwork of their slipcovers, nowadays they don’t seem to bother or they pick & choose, ☹️at one time Scream Factory was one of my fav U.S labels together with Kino Lorber, enjoy your movies Sir 👍
I used to always be looking at Scream Factory's releases and picked up some great movies from them but hardly get anything by them now unfortunately 😵💫 I think that the UK market has REALLY improved recently with 88, Arrow, Second Sight etc putting out some brilliant editions 🤩🤩👏👏I do like Kino Lorber but with the prices not being that great for delivery from the US at times, I kind of spend locally 🤔🤔🤩🤩👍👍

Yeah Carlos, shipping fees are a little crazy and a lot of them add that "tax" after you think you have that final price and you get that extra £5-£10 as you check out 🤬 makes me look elsewhere mate 🤔😁😁👍👍
I started my collection of video nasties on Blu-ray not too long ago, after being greatly inspired by your interest in the list. At the moment, I've acquired 6 of them, and plan on getting as many as possible. Thanks for the inspiration and thanks for making these videos.

Wow thanks Cameron 🤩🤩👍👍it's a great journey I find mate, been interested in them since 1983, so it's been since then I've been on it.....although it's only been in the last 15 years that they have started to come out in new versions (uncut as well) 😁😁 thanks for this great message and I do plan a series of 3 or 4 videos on what ones I've got and how I got them and maybe you might get a few pointers? 🤔🤩 thanks again Cameron....Happy hunting 😁😁👍👍

I remember buying a few years back, Faces of Death and Nightmares in a Damaged Brain on the The Hard Gore DVD label for a £1 each from Poundland of all Places oh yes and Cat in the Brain. Bargains!

Yes must have been about 2015/16 when they used to get the Horror DVD's in for Halloween I was surprised to say the least when I saw them in there and I still have them.@@MondoChelloveckMovies

I'm on 22/39 now, and also going for the best versions available. Latest one i got was ''I Spit on your Grave 4K'' from Ronin Flix with the slipcover from Ebay, quite expensive😶

Congrats on completing your section 1 set. Just a note the Paul Nashy set, it's only Werewolf and the Yeti that's region free all the other films in that set are region A locked, buyers beware.
House on Straw Hill is very tame, irs just the attack scenes that caused the issue, there's minimal gore, got to say your very lucky with the editionyou got, the 3 disc set was a limited run, so to get it this far after release is very lucky indeed!

I bought that House on Straw Hill release when it first came out. It's a blast. Udo Keir and Fiona Richmond are awful, but in the right way, if you know what I mean. Good to see that the video nasties documentary is still part of the set. It pre-dates the Nucleus DVDs but covers much the same ground. Great video John, look forward to the Section 1 run through!
I know what you mean about their acting...Fiona Richmond was in a comedy show one (comic strip presents maybe) and she was AWFUL 😵💫😵💫🤣🤣 great info on that nasties disc, never knew that 🤔🤩🤩 thanks mate, should be doing that pretty soon 😁😁👍👍

Hi Paul, Yeah I've seen Traces of Death 1,2 &3....the first one being the worst one 😵💫 I remember the thrash metal soundtrack and also the voice over sounded a bit slowed down for effect 🤔🤩 I'm sure the second one and definitely the 3rd one just had the music on and no voice over, yeah brutal watches for sure Paul 😲😲😱😱🤩👍

I also have the Gorgon version of faces of death.
And the picture quality is very good.
Definitely an improvement on the dvd of faces of death on the UK version.
When I first saw faces of death I thought it was all real.
The documentary told how they faked most of the stuff.
I still think thay did good job in fooling people it was real.
The sequels got more gross as they went on.

Yeah for what it is, I find Faces looks really good! Much better than I expected Paul 👌👌 yeah I thought it was 100% legit 🤯 I'm reading a book about this movie at the moment and the director did touch on he wanted to see if he could fool people right from the start and I think he did a pretty good job 😲😁 I've seen up to Part 5 I think, part 2 was 100% real but apparently part 3 was 100% fake 🥴 interesting if totally bizarre set of movies for sure Paul 😱😊😊👍👍

@Paul-01_jane went through a "journey" of Mondo films...Faces of Death, Traces of Death, Death Scenes.....there was some really horrendous things in some of them...but pretty much stopped looking at them when my son came around 27 years ago as my mindset changed at that point with all this amazing positive stuff happening, watching one of them was LAST on my list 🤢🤢😊😊👍👍

i used a still of paul naschy for one of my terrible songs i've uploaded, pretty sure that was from the werewolf and the yeti, didn't get to watch it as there were no subs when i pirated it!

@@MondoChelloveckMovies cheers mondo man!, the residents are definitely an influence in terms of what i think music can be, i do it all myself, occasionally my friend might do a solo for me here and there or make a drum loop for me to use. i'm far from a musician and struggle with anxiety and depression so if i cant make the song in a day or two i get lost in it all and it stops being fun, ( thats why it's all so rough lol) watched your social anxiety vid last night which was nice to see, it's good to talk about such things and see other people leading decent lives despite their issues, thanks for the kind words and stay well =)
I like the fact that The Residents can influence your music, I think it's important to always have avant garde music in your locker to pull some surprising elements from 😊 also making music by yourself is a great way to maybe take something out that's buried in your brain that probably will never see the light of day unless you musically draw it out 🤔👍👍 thanks for checking out that video, really enjoyed doing it 😊 yeah as it said its a problem that doesn't affect me, but I've learned to get round it by not doing certain things, I'm currently thinking about doing a part 2 as I think there has been good changes in the year since I made it!
