    Easy on the 5.3. Good thing. Gone through three already on my 2017. Just take out the fender liner. Same for changing spark plugs

    Did this yesterday on my '15 Denali XL. Warning, don't use a screw driver on the ignition wire harness, you'll break it like I did. I had to use some duct tape when I put it back on to assure it won't slide off.

    I could use some help, one of my 13mm bolts wont come out, will spin with my wrench but i cant pry it out... any advise?

    • @FinalBossGarage
      @FinalBossGarage  9 месяцев назад

      If the other bolt is out, I would put it back in and make it snug. Then try to remove it. Hopefully it’s not stripped and it’s just being held up from the starter not being aligned

  • @mikeharrelson7117

    Followed this to the letter and it just spins wont engage engine so im going with the factory replacement. The Duralast one is going back to Autozone :( Great video though thank you.

    My 2015 wasn't charging. A mouse chewed through a charging connector. It seems electrical tape is bad for wildlife, so OEM are required to use bio degradable soy based electrical tape. Yeah, mouse food covering all your wires. I got lucky, it chewed the one place that issued an immediate warning before any other wires were snacked on.

    Did the starter make any noises for any time before going out? or did it just go out without warning ?

    • @FinalBossGarage
      @FinalBossGarage  3 года назад +2

      It slowly died over a month. It wouldn't always turn over right away. It also turned really slow.

    • @BadAssEngineering
      @BadAssEngineering 3 года назад +1

      @@FinalBossGarage thanks for the insight, I had the same slowing-down-over the months deal but ended up being a dying battery.

      This is what my truck recently started to do a few months back. So I plan on just replacing the starter soon. Also had to replace the ignition female clip due to being burnt from sparks.
