Mine isn’t collecting any dirty water. I’ve made sure everything is in place and latched correctly, there doesn’t seem to be a suction issue as I can feel it suctioning. Am I not using enough water? Idk what I’m doing wrong but I’m doing everything you’re doing
I used it for my entire couch and it worked very well. The water came out dirty. I love it.

Thinking about getting one...I have four cats and a 46 year old toddler.
How do you clean all the crap out that gets clogged in the nozzle head? Around the sides of where the dirty water is sucked through? After using it for really dirty areas or areas with put fur it really needs to be rinsed out straight away, otherwise the dirt sets in there like concret.
You’re right that it’s best to rinse right after use. I did a follow up video going over trouble shooting and cleaning the machine as well. I basically use the spray nozzle in the sink and there’s an attachment you can use to clean the hose.

I'm confused how it doesn't leave soap in the carpet? You are never rinsing it with clean water...just vacuuming up the soapy water?
And another design flaw. It sprays too much And not in the area you want to clean. The cleaner gets everywhere

I found my Bissell Little Green by or in a dumpster (forget which). Everything seems OK with it. But the vacuum nozzle does not have much suction. I cannot figure out how to disconnect the hose from the machine so that I can unclog it.

Do you keep the trigger on during scrubbing? I think it works better but also wasting more solution
Yes. It depends on how dirty the area is but typically I’ll have the water spray while I scrub for a little bit.

A friend gave me hers about 12 years ago. I never used it. Now my precious kitty is randomly peeing on furniture! I was mortified, but remembered my Bissell pet vac. If I'd known how easy this seems, I would have had this madtered long ago!. Going to tackle the spots right after my morning Joe! I'm SO glad I kept this!! 👏👏👏👍❤️ Almost gave it up at my yard sale 😳

Sorry to hear about your kitty, hopefully they’re ok! We use our bissell for all types of stains but it comes in handy when our cat has accidents as well.

Anybody else have issues with black mold growing in the dirty water chamber? My mom has one that she wants me to use on her carpets, and it turns out she didn’t fully let that chamber dry the last time she used it so it grew some mold in there 😬
You could probably pour some vinegar in there and let it soak for a while, and then let it dry to see if that helps

Don’t forget the black gasket for the fill tank or the dirty water will leak all over the inside of the unit and back onto your carpet. Ask me how i know

Imagine me trying to use the machine after a year or more. The &$#*// would not squirt. Darn. Then after watching this video discovered how dumb😢 adults can be. I had filled the waste water tank with cleaner instead of the fresh cleaner tank. No wonder no liquid spray. Duh. Once I filled the correct tank the machine worked fine. BINGO. Phew, I was ready to take the $&#% to the curb! Grateful for this excellent video. ❤❤❤❤

Great review, but Do NOT flush the dirty water down the toilet. You will have hair in your soiled water. It will clog your plumbing!!

Not sure if my suction isn't strong enough or what - is the area still supposed to be wet after you suction it? I feel like mine just doesn't work well at all.

I saw a screw in the parts list but i dont have one and dont know what its for. Oh a 4th design flaw is that you cant remove the cover to get out the lint or hair or pieces if upholstery. You cant get it out with your fingers either
So I don't recall receiving a screw with mine. The cover doesn't come off and I believe that's to create an air tight seal to suck up more water. I use a pipe cleaner and it works pretty good. Thanks for the comments! you make some good points.

Interesting, I haven't noticed any issues with the suction. Is it strong enough to get the water up out of the carpet or area you're cleaning? The suction doesn't have to be overly powerful it just needs to be able to get the water up. If it's not getting the water that's a problem.

😂 oh well. The world has gotten so complicated by trying to simplify.
Hope this one is better than the original. The rotating brush cartridge on mine broke and I had to order a new cartridge. Then the next time I used it, the spray trigger wouldn't stop spraying and the suction sucked.
So we all appreciate the video. But, no one has mentioned unless its at the bottom. No one has mentioned if it cleans well. It looks like its a cheap cleaning system. Does it work?

Good video, I would however suggest checking your title to say "Carpet Cleaner" not "Capet Cleaner".
My dumb ass actually filled the wrong side with cleaner and I was wondering why I ran out of it in like 5 seconds smh. White sofa still got cleaned tho . I should’ve watched this first. Instructions were a bit confusing

I'm trying to use mine but no liquid comes out of the tool. I press the button but nothing comes out. At all. I dont know why. The water and formula is inside.
Try putting the tank and machine up on a chair or table top. Then hold the handle below the water reservoir. Then turn on the machine and pull the trigger for a minute. The hose might need to be primed with water. This video might help: Bissel Green Machine No Water Coming Out - How to Fix

sorry, but this thing is a piece of junk. mine is brand new , and ive checked everything twice over and the suction sucks.

What are you cleaning with it? Different fabrics absorb liquid more than others.

My clean water tank nozzle has a hole in it that constantly leaks. It looks like the hole is meant to be there. Did I miss a part?
