Fun fact:
I really liked Mar Tuuk. When he found out that Anakin was the opposing commander, he immediately checked the CIS' info about Anakin to find out more about him which was really smart.
Mar Tuuk didn't make a mistake so much as Anakin completely disregarded known laws of war to attack under a flag of surrender. Which a tactical droid on yerbanna knew of by the time of revenge of the sith who knew that Skywalker was bluffng.
The biggest mistake plenty of these commanders made is to trust Palpatine/Darth Sidious. In Commander Merai’s case, Sidious gave him false information about the cloning facilities’ power generators because Merai was considered a threat to Sidious’ plans for the Clone Wars.
One of worst things about after the CW, they don't really try to make you sympathize or see how effective they were, well the alien members anyway. Like during the Bad Batch, the only surviving members we got see the genius of CIS were human. Disney really doesn't want to expand on this idea too much.
"All according to cake." - Palpatine when manipulating both Republic and CIS probably
General Whorm Loathsom’s mistake was he thought he knew who the Jedi were, that they wouldn’t use false surrenders, especially Kenobi. Which is sad since both he and Kenobi seem to be men of honor
Wat tambor sounds like the guy who tries to get you into crypto at a party
Although I like how funny General Grievous can be, i honestly think that the Separatist Council would make better mustache-twirling villians. I mean think about it, Grievous had actual military experience and was genuinely feared, while Nute Gunray and pals were mainly just big-shot corpos in WAY over their heads. Plus, you got to admit they are kinda funny, especially when they say things like "There goes my promotion..."
"Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake." -- Napoleon Bonaparte
Wow, there's no winning for Loathsom.
Warden Sobeck also made a HUGE error when he denied the assistance of Darth Tyranus in hunting down the Jedi and their forces. Even worse he continued to stall Tyranus even at the behest of his tactical droids in pursuit of his own glory.
Happy 92nd Birthday to the Man, the Actor, the Voice! James Earl Jones!
To be fair to Commander Merai, his mistakes at Kamino was based upon false information, deliberately sent his way by Sidious in order to get him out the way and kill him in said battle. So that he could end the clone wars early in the separatist favour or sway Mon cal to join the separatist war effort.
Hell yeah an episode from gen tech and a separatist one as well what did i do to get this lucky
Separatist Remnants should follow what Zeon did when it comes to rebuilding themselves back post-defeat underneath the Empire's nose.
One mistake is all it takes to topple this whole situation.
The Separatist Leaders' biggest mistake is trusting General Grievous who told them to go to Mustafar and hide there where Anakin would go for a walk later on.
Is this the first episode in a series? I'm guessing the Imperial officer version will be 3 hours long.
Honestly, I’m not sure if you could really blame the last two because they thought the Jedi were gonna surrender, since they are meant to be peacekeepers
