    Its was pretty disappointing we couldn't see more conflict that wasn't just droids vs clones. Umbara was my favorite part of the Clone Wars because it felt like a real war with real people defending their planet, instead of just a mock war between two artificial enemies.

  • @JustAnotherUser565
    @JustAnotherUser565 Год назад +130

    The battles of Haruun Kal, Umbara, and Drongar are also fine examples of droids not being utilized all that much by the CIS due to the environment. Haruun Kal and Drongar’s atmospheres were corrosive to droids so they relied on local militias and mercenaries. In Umbara although droid forces were present during the battle, the dense dark jungles made mass-deployment nearly impossible hence why the Umbaran Militia was the main fighting force of the CIS on the planet.

    2:25 A funny little theory on General Grevious being on Moorja for that battle: Could The Republic have had a better chance at defeating Grevious there, than almost anywhere else in the galaxy? Let me explain...
    Moorja is a planet that has an environment hostile to electrical technology, including computers. But, here's the thing. General Grevious (Due to his cybernetic body) was INCREDIBLY dependent on computers to be as much of a threat to any Jedi as he was (Being able to analyze your enemy's fighting technique in a matter of seconds, and then replicating his/her style, while also exploiting any weaknesses to be found in his enemy's technique). In fact, beyond just giving him an advantage in battle with Jedi; due to just how much of his formerly organic Kaleesh body was replaced with cybernetic technology, it may be possible to argue that Grevious (Much like Darth Vader after him) actually NEEDED his cybernetics, and computers to remain operational at all times, just to stay alive! But, with the super-ionized atmosphere of Moorja making all electronic/computer-based technology completely inoperable/useless on-world, Grevious might as well be commiting suicide by being on this world to lead a battle campaign against invading Republic forces. If he doesn't immediately die, due to his cyborg body being unable to sustain what little life he still had in him on this prohibitively hostile world, he would be in a massive disadvantage against any Jedi, or Clone, or even regular soldier that he had to fight in this battle.
    Obiviously, none of this came to pass in the actual battle, but could it have happened? Does this theory seem resonable?

  • @robertagu5533
    @robertagu5533 Год назад +2

    In such battlefield environments it all depended on whom made up the CIS non clone forces like with any culture an force. An WHOM those sector troops was going up against. Some GAR forces was basically capable of crushing just about anyone, anywhere similar to some CIS leaders an weapons were unstoppable for a time no matter what they came up against

    The only time I recall CIS soldiers appearing in canon is in Season 4 of the clone wars when some more Karkaradons are are sent to Mon Cala to assist Riff Tamson. Do CIS soldiers show up anywhere else in canon? I don’t count Umbarans because they were only fighting on their home planet.

    After doing math,
    I think venitor is better then aclomater
    Let me exsplan, 2 venitors cost and have equal turbolazers to 1 aclomater,
    One venitor has more sorage for fighters or vehicles.
    Aclomater has no lighter Canons so they have to use over kill for small craft and leave them even more vanrable to fighters. Yes its faster and has more armor
    But with the 2v1 venitors can be posistioned better and the far more fighters can be of massive suport
    Adionaly the open tall brides alow comanders plenty of space to plan and coman along with good vision well having enough fighter to defend these and go on the offense...
    Yes venitor needs more crew and them as individual ships dont last as long
    But can be replaced faster and crews can be recruited from civilizations but the republic did not,
    For the first few months the clone crews would suffer but after civilizations can be trained said clones could be converted to troops or another suport element..
    Plus the numbers and size if the venitor and more fighters can be a fear factor
