I've had my CE 04 almost two months now, here in Los Angeles. Love it. I still have my Burgman 650 and other bikes for long trips, but I've been on this for almost everything around town. Today went on a 130 mile loop. Here is a typical outing for me. I leave Hollywood to meet my friend in Santa Monica. Across his street is a CVS pharmacy with free charging. I top off my charge which takes about 10 minutes as we have coffee and plan our ride. We hit the twisties in Malibu and Santa Monica mountains. At about 50 miles we stopped for lunch, I plugged it in to a paid ChargePoint charger in Malibu (Level 2 are everywhere in LA and many are free) and when lunch was done, I added 53 miles in 56 minutes and was at 100% again and it cost me $2.14. Malibu is more expensive than other locations and as I've said, often it's free. Keep in mind, as of this writing, Oct 4, 2022, gas (petrol) prices are $7.00/US gallon (about €1.85/liter) in California which is unusually high. But on average, I would say at least 1/3 of all my charging is free. Sometimes it's closer to 1/2 of all my charging. For those afraid of range, I can tell you, on my everyday popping around town, I only need to charge about once every 6 or 7 days. For city riding, most trips for me are within 3 or 4 miles and occasionally 15-20 miles. In ECO mode, I get a true 80 miles per charge. In Dynamic (fast) mode with a lot of fast starts, it's closer to 65 miles. So don't buy this if you want to travel your country. Buy it if you want to have a great deal of fun relatively locally. And, if you're lucky and live in a place with chargers everywhere like here in California, you really can go farther than you think if you plan for lunch breaks etc. Also, for those curious, when on a Level 2 charger and your bike is set to 30 amps, you will gain about 1 mile (1.6 kilometers) per minute of charge. Not fast enough for long trips, but perfectly fine for planned lunch stops.
Hey :) Wow, thank you very much for your detailed comment. Nice to see how it works in real life. Of course it always depends on your requirements on a vehicle. Maybe I will forward your comment to BMW public relations if it's okay for you ;) Have fun and ride safe :)
Looks like it would make an ideal city bike that is also capable of some freeway work. Impressive 0-50 time. The 0-100 is what it is, remember, it’s still quicker than most cars. 👍😎🇦🇺

Good evening Bro :) It's not made for motorway, the battery will not last long :D I guess at fullspeed only about 70-80km. But in cities you can go 130km easily. Range test will follow soon ;)
I didn't see in your gear section with your Amazon links, what is this camera mount you are using? Also, if you like this you should try a properly quick electric like a Livewire or Zero!
the mounting is just the big plate in the packaging when you buy your Gopro, but a little bit modified. And it's mountet with tape. Very simple ;) And yes, I tried to get a Zero bike, and already have been in contact with them. They gave me a contact to a Zero and Energica dealer in my city, but the dealer told me, if I want to do acceleration tests with this bike, I should pay 100 Euro per hour !!!! because of material wear. This is ridiculous. I can rent such a bike for about 150-200 Euro the whole day.
@@mototop_ ah that explains it. I have a GoPro clone so I didn't get that mount haha. I will buy a real one soon though. 100 Euro pro Stunde? Spinnt der!? Kommt seine Frau auf den Rücksitz oder 😂?
Naah! I wouldn't consider it. notice at the beginning of the ride the charge was 83%. after few seconds of maximum acceleration, the charge dropped down to 61% ?! so that's a 22% drop in few seconds? too quick of a battery discharge, i think. and this is a brand new bike (2022 model). if it was few years older, the battery efficiency would be drastically reduced. just my two cents.
