Great, probably one of the first English reviews out there! Very futuristic yoke, I like it! The only niggle about the video is the sound/mic quality while you were off the scooter. Cheers!
I definitely agree that the practicality is a little lacking, however, if you want nice city ergos, really solid range, and enough power for freeway jumps, the market is really sparse! Being able to plug in at a real recharge station is a huge plus if your workspace offers spots with chargers. Considering going for it, for a PNW Spring/Summer commuter. Would you recommend any competitors?
It’s a BMW so price is commensurate with pedigree. Suits my needs but my bank account not so much but if opportunity arises I would buy one regardless. As much as I love ancient dripping smoke belching tinkers I also love the future.
Great review, thanks! I quite like this scooter. Some of the other reviews say that the brake lights DO come on when regeneration happening - is it a setting to enable/disable?
Until the UK starts treating Electric motorcycles like electric cars for taxable benefit purposes these wont sell - which is a shame. 20% of list price as a taxable benefit for this compared with 2% of list price for an electric car is ridiculous. I'm an all weather commuter with a Honda VFR800 and a Ducati Monster 821.
Looks cool, but practicality seems lacking. Is there even anywhere to put a bag of groceries? My Vespa will take one under the seat, one between my legs, one in the rear storage, and one on the front rack if pressed. In a city scooter, being able to carry shopping is essential.
In Australia this BMW is AUD$21,915 ride away, compared to the 2022 Tmax which is $19,849. Both of which, in my opinion, are too expensive especially when one can get a GXR1000 or a MT09SP for AUD$18,099 ride away (and thats the SP model which is basically a perfect naked bike).
You’re not comparing apples with apples. 1) TMax and CE are commuter bikes, the MT is a sports naked, and the GXR is a superbike. 2) someone in the market for a scooter, isn’t in the market for a naked, or a super bike, and vice versa. 3) a more valid comparison would be a C400 GT ion - which comes in around $14K AUD, or a Vespa GTS300 which is around 13K AUD. Those are aimed at similar markets to the TMax and CE. Not the GSX or MT.

Nowhere near enough electric charging stations, nor close enough. Electric vehicles don’t do good up hills and mountains, and interstates due to using an extremely amount of power (not talking about hybrids). Cold weather will take over 10% plus of your fully charged vehicles, even if you do not ride it after a full charge. They take hours to days to fully charge. The electric companies now want in on electric vehicles, and the government can choose to cut charging stations and or the vehicles. They just want enough people to switch over.
I would not buy this for the distance you get before charge ,if it was 200 mile range ,I would consider ,average scooter 200 mile range on full tank,. Not impressed at all.

130 km range has nothing to do with luxury! This sorry-ass range just doesnt cut it in 2023. Bmw can call it "URBAN" all they want, the range still sucks and makes it a stupid buy for the money they`re asking for it.
It looks cool, but it seems the engineers went out to lunch and forgot to design a rear wheel, so they used the spare tire from a 97 Civic.

Sir, it's not an engine,it's a quite Motor.
I just need it to go 150 mph
I would not buy this for the distance you get before charge ,if it was 200 mile range ,I would consider ,average scooter 200 mile range on full tank,. Not impressed at all.
wont save the planet with this price
Need more miles 300 - 400 area in manila to area. Luzon
It's cool and all but too pricey for what it is.
30 seconds of ads and then horrible sound quality...goodbye visordown
Nice one, but -
- NOT!-
- for the Ukrainian roads!
... even in Kiev!..
Just spent €1800 on an 07 600cc scooter much faster and a little cheaper 😂
Bmw= I'm pretending to saving the environment by looking better than you and putting you down after we meet.....
Not for that price.
They still continue to build scooters only for short Asian people! Your knees were up against the dash….I’ll wait for the F77
Not a easy accent to understand, they are putting subtitles on British tv for different accent they have there so they can understand themselves, what makes them think that anyone else should be able to understand them ?
One big TellSell Ad, interrupted by other ads. Ugly and not practical.
130 km range has nothing to do with luxury! This sorry-ass range just doesnt cut it in 2023. Bmw can call it "URBAN" all they want, the range still sucks and makes it a stupid buy for the money they`re asking for it.
engine this, engine that, engine engine engine... jesus christ there is NO ENGINE, it's a MOTOR for crying out loud
Round London that will get stolen for or if you're riding it u will get chased and robbed for sure
If it came with bigger wheels (say 17") then it is ideal for London's pothole ridden roads.
Dodgy wheelchair. Can I skip this?
😆🤪
BMW real meaning is big money waste, people always remember that.
it fucking sucks what the actual fuck.
